Thanks for this review! I'm thinking of getting one for walleye trolling. Have you tested the accuracy of the line counter? Sounds like there are 3 pre determined line weights to choose from but are they for mono or braid?? I'd be spooling mine with 15 or 20lb Power Pro
Line counter works better than anything else I've used or own. I have some okuma cold waters and it's certainly better than those. Line capacity is lacking a bit so I went with 20lb 8 carrier braid on mine seems to be a good fit. Thanks for the comment and I hope this helps!
@@694onthewater3 Thanks for the reply it definitely helped!! I went ahead and ordered mine from Amazon after checking with 3 local shops, none of whom had them in stock. (I always try to support the local retailers when possible). I'm excited about trying it out and hopefully increasing my catch count. Thanks again.
You didn't speak to the accuracy of the line out readings. I had Spiderwire EZ Braid 20#(8# mono eqiuv). I pulled off 100', but the reel only read 87'. I'm switching to 12# mono to see if that makes a difference. Also, no manual came with the reel to explain the ins and outs of the different features. I'm hoping once I get it dialed in, that I'll be happy.
I'm more about the repeatability, as long as I can repeat the results and it's sort of close I'm happy with it. Bottom line is that it is able to repeat the same results over and over
There's a switch on the back of the reel. I also think there is a way you can make it beep if line goes out in a hurry, but I don't know how to do that one

@@dlmsarge8329 you are quite welcome! Yes I agree, supporting local is always the best way. Good luck and thanks again for watching!

@694onthewater3 Makes sense to me. I did reduce line size on set up(10# for 12# line), and that got me within 2 feet. That's acceptable for me.
look up videos on how to calibrate line counters - initial setup is key to get accurate results from any line counter.
How do you said it where it will notify you when you get something on the line I can’t get mine to click??

Ugh, hate this reel. Was a gift. The menu system is just ridiculous. Can't even access the line diameter section.
Sorry you're having such a rough time. You could just run it how it came and use the line counter to replicate any successes.
