    This was very helpful, thank you! I would be interested in more basic requirement videos-I’m just getting started and the hardest part right now is figuring out where/how to focus, there are so many paths to follow.
    Your videos have been the most helpful I have found. I feel like I am getting one on one training from an artisan.

    Very helpful video. Some times you buy equipment to do more projects without thinking about how you're going to do all the finishing work on it.

      Exactly! There is so much more to a "Sign Shop" then meets the eye.

    Great video! Just retired and moved but this time I'm converting my oversized garage into my shop. We got the wall unit AC/Heater installed, floor sealed and industrial carpet laid. Insulated garage door finished. Over head lights installed and outlets on every wall. Equipment on its way. Can't wait to get back to work.

    Thanks for the video!! Question, which transfer tape do you use for interior wall application, like the typical drywall in the living room?

    • @TheSignGuy
      @TheSignGuy  2 роки тому +1

      We used to use R-Tape 4075 High Tack but then went to Grimco's Briteline series High Tack )same stuff) because of the savings. Now any high tack will work, I'm not brand specific about app tape. Also Tubelite has and "Elite" brand with High Tack that I'm working through and seems to be fine with the 631

      @@SouthbayCreations You want to find out what the drywall is painted in first? Do a peel test using 3M 2308 G/P masking tape, if tape dosen't stick to wall you know your graphics wont stick before you go to the effort of prepping grraphics. Even if masking tape sticks you dont want to use Hi-Tak possible areas of app tape sticking to the wall and potentially removing paint - Use low tak app tape but this depends vinyl brand and liners, wax base ideal using low tak app tape, but synthetic clear liners like 3M 7725 and design could be a pain to transfer.

    Aluminum sign!! When applying fairly big vinyl decal, get ALOT of tiny dots kinda like dirt or super mini bubbles!! Oracal 651 dry apply!! Cleaning of the surface not good enough?? Do you have any tips I'll appreciate it 😁

      Could be static from a low humidity, I use a dry swiffer to pick up any dust before I apply vinyl.

    What is the most common size of the grommet and the die?
    Thanks

    • @TheSignGuy
      @TheSignGuy  Рік тому

      I use 3/8" #2 grommets bought them from GRIMCO but you can get cheaper ones. Just don't get a really cheap ones, we threw one away because it was just junk...
