How you have overhauled and repaired the massively corroded YTS-61 is absolutly stunning 👏👌 You saved the life & soul of this great tenor 😍 It blows my mind 🤯

#Neovember I had myMartin tenor re-lacquered when I got it and it was a bad job the lacquer wore off in a couple of years. I've had my horn overhauled twice since then pads felts and corks by some very good techs.

You might also just have extremely acidic hands. I’ve seen people wear away the strongest lacquer like it was nothing. One of the best ways to retain lacquer is by wiping your instrument down from spit when you’re done playing.

@@jonathanclark7623 If you ever consider having your horn re-lacquered again, we can put two coats of our epoxy bake on lacquer at Beeman Brassworks. You would just need to tell us when bringing the instrument.
I don’t have the most acidic hands, but silver seems to react pretty bad to me so I’ve started practicing with gloves on when playing my silver saxes. No reason not to other than laziness

You kill the beauty of any horn by buffing out the engraving. It will loose most of its worth!
