It took longer than I thought, but the animation meme is finally ready! I have long wanted to show the range of emotions in RainWing dragons and this meme came in handy for this.
Dragonet Kinkajou are overwhelmed with emotions and she loses control of them! Just look at how she changes emotions! Sadness, curiosity, joy, embarrassment, confusion, irritation and rage.
What do you think, because of what? Maybe because of the chameleons around her who look like her classmates and friends? Or maybe because she is worried that you, my viewer, did not subscribe to this channel?)

I love how with the wide ranges of color with this, you can actually understand in the book how RainWings can be mistaken as other tribes at just a glance. At first glance, blue looks like a SeaWing, yellow looks very convincing for a SandWing, while the orange and red colors look like a SkyWing.
When in words in the book, you don't really get to see it and understand it because "How couldn't they tell it's a RainWing? Wouldn't it be really obvious, they're just a different color." but in drawings/animation, you can understand why it might take someone in the books a second look.
Ain't nobody gonna talk about the Lil winter, peril, moonwatcher and turtle lizards one the branches? THEY'RE SO CUTE AAAARGH-
I never noticed them! It’s like that one gorilla suit experiment-I was so focused on the dragon in the center of the frame, the gorilla-er-the dragon lizards-walked right past me!

I really love how expressive this is, goes to show dragons can be really expressive.
I’m really impressed by how you presented the color-changing abilities here, it feels smooth, believable and accurate to how a Rainwing would look while shifting colors. I also really like Kinkajou, so seeing her in the spotlight was a delight!

Kinkajou is one of my favourites, I think because of her sort of childish, positive personality people didn't really take kinkajou seriously, but she was a very important character (in my eyes) within the books and to be honest kinkajou is so badass when she uses her venom.

This is actually a brilliant idea. The colouration gives away the mood of the dragon, maybe even influences the power , which that dragon can excert with those moods?
RainWings (dragon in that video) are capable of changing the color of their scales. And a lot of RainWings change their scale color to show their emotions better

there are so so so many things i love about this: your style is lovely as always, the background art looks delish, kinkajou looks and moves well between the transitions (her markings must have taken forEVER to do good gog), the little **chameleon**-ified (not sure if that was intentional reference to chameleon himself or not) Jade winglet is so adorable and you can see their personalities shine (poor peril burning that vine though).

I'll agree, Kinkajou can be underrated sometimes, but the reason she didn't get a book (I think) is because Tui already liked how her character was. Most of the time, the books are the main character's character developement, but Tui was satisfied with how Kinkajou was and didn't want to change her
