  • Originally aired on October 14, 2021, join us as we delve into the profound insights of Ami Ayalon, former Shin Bet Director, in his latest book. He fearlessly presents a thought-provoking perspective on the potential Orwellian dystopia that Israel could become, not due to a handful of theologians, but because of the secular majority's actions driven by fear and silence.
🌟 Ami Ayalon's journey is nothing short of extraordinary-from his early days on a kibbutz to his courageous roles as a decorated commando, naval commander, intelligence chief, and cabinet member. Throughout his life, he passionately risked everything for the vision of a sustainable and democratic Jewish homeland. However, in his compelling narrative, Ayalon comes to a profound realization: true harmony can only be achieved alongside a Palestinian state, where its citizens genuinely aspire to a bright and hopeful future.
💬 Explore his captivating story, gain insights into the complexities of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, and discover his visionary solutions for the future. Ami Ayalon offers a unique perspective that challenges conventional beliefs and opens doors to constructive dialogue and lasting peace..

The conflict in the ME, like everywhere, is between people who believe peace and security can be achieved with justice and those who only believe in power.

This man has the wisdom and the courage to articulate more than one perspective. In doing so he wins the support of those who see the "enemy" as another people deserving of rights, dignity and self-determination. Impressive.

2019 The legally-sanctioned torture of a Palestinian detainee during interrogation by officers from Shin Bet, Israel’s Security Agency, further exposes the complicity of Israel’s authorities, including its judiciary, in the systematic violation of the human right to be free from torture, said Amnesty International today. Samir Arbeed was arrested on 25 September on suspicion of being involved in the killing of a 17-year-old Israeli girl Rina Shnerb. According to Israeli media reports and Samir’s lawyer, a “judicial body” granted Shin Bet special permission to “use exceptional ways to investigate” in his case, effectively sanctioning the use of methods amounting to torture during his interrogation. “It is utterly outrageous that the use of torture during interrogations continues to be sanctioned by the Israeli authorities, from the Shin Bet, through the executive branch and all the way to the Supreme Court,” said Saleh Higazi, Amnesty International’s Deputy Middle East and North Africa Director.
“Under international treaties, which legally bind Israel, the use of torture cannot be justified under any circumstances. This case exposes Israel’s claims that its judiciary upholds human rights as a complete sham.”

This Formidable very high end Israeli Citizen ....who became in the course of this incredible human journey ..an humanist humanitaire...while still maintaining his military perspectives very clear..same caliber as Man / Officer...as Rabin.
SHOULD BE the Actual Prime Minister of Israel.
He would save the Middle East and most Probably the Entire World...

Sure. Israel should let them in. Give them jobs. And that will change them.
Now we know why the Israeli intelligence agencies did not notify anyone on October 6th.
Plenty of intel. But Israeli intel is loaded with folks like this.

Israel's problems are because it fails to see the wrong it has done. Folks like you. So when Israel is not secure its because attitudes of dehumanising, brutality and stealing land from people is justified by folks like you😊 pretty much the whole world except the leaders of countries like US, UK and Germany ( although not their people) have now woken up to who is actually causing the problems here. Treat people like animals don't be shocked when something terrible happens.
