@@saptarshipal6743 Everything from education, social welfare, critical thinking, space for dissent (literally every big politician is from that era), religious tolerance, focus on scientific temperament(every research, space institute were the culmination of that). And yes there was a huge downside of it like social welfare can become appeasement, dissent can give rise to stalwarts that can remove your ideology, but nonetheless it's better to live in an era of freedom rather than a mild dictatorial ideology.

Fact-1: ISRO was previously known as the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR), set up under Jawaharlal Nehru on the suggestions of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai in 1962 recognising the need for space research. INCOSPAR grew and became ISRO in 1969.
Fact-2: Nehru wanted India to be the first country in Asia to produce its own fighter plane. Hindustan Aircraft Limited, Bangalore (as it then was), was assigned for the project. But at that point India lacked the talent, experience, technology and necessary materials. Nehru brought experts from Germany exclusively to create HAL so India could have great aircrafts.

It's because the Shankaracharya of today were made a certain way because of the British. 3 gurus ago the British planted a married man as Shankaracharya (marriage = not brahmachari, so you cant be a guru). Then 2 gurus ago they also opposed the inauguration and pran pratishtha of the Somnath temple. The current Shankaracharya has a lot of wisdom and is really well educated in scriptures but he's very egoistic. He wanted the Ram temple under him. He also didn't want Puri temples to be developed without his oversight 100%.
Theacharya today has a good point that the temple wasn't completed hence he didn't want to go, but the Vedas themselves say that if the garbagriha is completed then pran pratishtha can happen. It wasn't against the religion but this acharya of puri invoked some nonsense that the entire temple should (ideally) be completed before the pran pratishtha. Also, the Ram Mandir trust sent the invites, to everyone including the BJP. The invite was not sent by the BJP. Modi accepted the invite as prime minister; in earlier times the kings used to sit and be A PART of the ritual. Ram is associated with rulers, kings, Prime ministers, etc. It doesn't really take away from democracy; just that whoever is the PM will partake in the religious event of pran pratistha (like in marriage too, bhai etc ka fixed position and role hota hai na, waise hi)
