I believe Rahul is not trying to project being the Hindu party. Rather, he wants to reiterate that the mohabat ideology is universal in all religions, and Congress stands committed to that side of a pluralistic Hindu philosophy of tolerance and acceptance.

The guest speaker should be clear of the difference between Hinduism and Hindutwa. BJP is propagating Hindutwa for Political mileage which Rahul Gandhi exposed it correctly in the parliament. It is countering Modi by the same method. The guest speaker’s analysis is not correct since he is not even speaking the differen between Hinduism and Hindutwa.
