    Shawn and Mel, per Wikipedia:
“Someday We'll Be Together" is a song written by Johnny Bristol, Jackey Beavers, and Harvey Fuqua. It was the last of twelve American number-one pop singles for Diana Ross & the Supremes on the Motown label. Although it was released as the final Supremes song featuring Diana Ross, who left the group for a solo career in January 1970, it was recorded as Ross' first solo single and Supremes members Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong do not sing on the recording. Both appear on the B-side, "He's My Sunny Boy".
The male backup vocals are provided by Johnny Bristol.

As a proud Brit,Motown is the greatest thing to ever come out of America in my opinion.

This was the farewell hit for Diana Ross and the Supremes, as Diana left the group to embark on a solo career. The Supremes would continue, but were never quite the same without Diana Ross. Some of the Supremes early hits with Diana Ross are well worth the journey. You might start with "Stop! In the Name of Love," and "You Can't Hurry Love." I also like "Love Child" and "Reflections" from the later '60s.
Have you watched the movie "Standing In the Shadows of Motown" yet? You need to. I'm surprised that reaction channels like yours haven't delved deeper into Motown. They were a HUGE influence in the '60s, and probably the most important influence in R&B music history beyond the world of jazz.

@@raenellefisher8514 Hey Raenelle, if you haven't seen it yet, check out another fantastic music documentary,
      "The Wrecking Crew".
The complete history behind the L.A. studio musicians from the 60's and 70's that played on over 200, yes over 200, top 40 hits. They backed up a "who's who" of bands and artists.
      Another "must watch".

This is Motown at its finest. First the wonderful vocals from the Supremes, backed by the Funk Brothers, and with background vocals from other Motown artists.
