I’m big fan of the channel, decision not to put your kid in front of the camera is showing level of integrity that you have. Hope this will influence other parents to reconsider posting their kids on social media. Keep up with the good work!
years ago, back when I made family vlogs, the kids were in the videos quite often. everyone can make their own decisions. and decisions can be revisited
Bravo on covering kids running shoes for all the parents out there, a topic rarely discussed in the running community. I am glad your daughter enjoys running as much as you do. She could be an ace athlete in the making!
Hey, this is great! I’ve started running a year ago & my 4 years old son also like to run along with me. I’ll start to consider to buy him his first proper running shoes, & this video helped alot. Thanks alot, Mike!
Great video!! Honestly, this is a category of it’s own…one that is rarely covered. My 10 yr. old son enjoys running with me sometimes but wants a shoe that’s not like the typical sneaker. We found a pair of NB Arishi V4 that are working fairly well. They have Fresh Foam midsoles, decent outsoles, and a comfortable upper - everything he wanted!
Great job identifying a missing message and taking it on, Kofuzi! Hoping your daughter is enjoying her XC and track seasons and building her love for running overall.
Thanks for making this video Mike 👏👏 my grandson and granddaughter take part in the kids park run in Manchester every weekend and they love it. I bought them both new shoes recently from Decathlon. They have a great range of kids running shoes at very affordable prices which is important as they grow out of them so quickly. Ian 🇬🇧
Thank you for this video! I have 3 boys ages 9, 12 and 15, my oldest one already runs races with me but not hard to get him shoes as he already fits in adult sizes, we actually wear the same size 😂, my little one is more of a challenge because he’s picky with shoe fit and even his socks honestly.. this was helpful!
Great topic and video… I’ve been fortunate in that my 10yo hasn’t had a problem wearing the same shoes as his mom but he’s starting to gravitate towards the “men’s”colorways… Awesome getting the kids into running and fitness in their younger years. Thanks for sharing!
Millionth reason why I love Ko and the Kofam community. My son is using adult size but when he started Track I was using some of the shoes you had videos reviews done. He loves the Asics and NB but his fave is the Nike Pegasus for practice and Asics spikes to run competitions.
Great video! Which fit is very important regardless as I only recent in my late 20s found my first real shoe size which is a Men's 13 from an Men's 11E after a childhood of never finding fitting shoes... Also I would recommend going to a local brick and mortar sporting goods store and trying a ton of shoes from all the companies your looking at even if you going to buy direct so you can see their fit.
Yes, I had wondered if those kids shoes offered the same protection as a proper adult shoe. Especially if they want to get serious about running, those growing bodies would need even more protection than adults I would have thought.
I was never a huge runner in middle school but I absolutely loved the Nike Star Runner! I don’t even remember what it felt like now but I had 3 pairs of those over 2 versions and I’m so sad they don’t make them in men’s sizes 😂
I got a 10 year old that needs some cushioned trainers to do long runs in. I'm going to cap him at 8 miles as I don't think kids need to be running anymore than that. He's already running 21 min 5ks in Kinvara 14s but needs some more cushioning for training
Great video! The best every day shoe for my kids was the Altra Kokiri Youth. Unfortunately, Altra has discontinued selling children's shoes. Still looking for a lightweight, low to the ground shoe with less drop and not too much cushioning.
I would like to note that, while kids' sizes and women's sizes overlap in terms of length, they do not have the same width. As you see in the conversion chart at the beginning of the video, a kid's 3.5 is roughly a women's 5 (or 5.5, depending on the brands on both sides of the equation), but what it doesn't say is that it is a 5 Wide. That is because kids' sizes are unisex -- i.e. they numerically track onto men's sizes AND they are a D width by default. So some boys might have a problem with women's medium widths and would need wide sizes. Conversely, girls with narrower feet might want to switch over to women's shoes as soon as possible if kids' sizes are too sloppy on them (and price point isn't a concern).
Theme for her off-season running was “all-day pace”. Nothing longer than 2 miles. And we read the same young adult novels and chatted about it on all our runs. This was my favorite summer of running
Can you make a video on daily trainers 2023? I havent found any such video all over the internet. Everywhere people are just excited about carbon plates. I am just starting running and i can run about 10k easily and i would want to be there for quite some time. I dont need something for a entire marathon distance.
When i was a kid, my only concern is the weight of the shoes. Cushioning and rebound weren't an issue when you have young springy legs. I could run in any shoes as long as they are not too heavy!! 😂 Back then, having a pair of Adidas was already luxury! Hoka did not exist
great video, thanks for covering this topic, very helpful, not for me though 😉, as my 8 year old already fits mens adult sizes. I took him to a Nike outlet, avoided the basic running shoes (Winflow, Quest etc) his non-runner mom kept bringing up and we got him a discounted older generation Pegasus, which works really well for him.
No matter what shoes your child wears, be sure to wear your Boston Celebration Jacket to all their events. If anyone comments, just play it down. No big deal. Bonus points for mixing it up with jackets from different years. You weren't a one and done, after all!
Your daughter seems to over-pronate a bit? Perhaps that’s why she prefers shoes with firmer midsoles, especially Brooks, which always has a hint of stability even in their neutral shoes.
MySon has been using adult size shoe for the last 2 years so he has been liking the options I have buying him. The only “kids” option that I liked to buy him was the Nike Pegasus But now he likes the Adidas ultraBoost, solar boost and he still likes the Pegasus.

I agree! But his standards are like no others anyway. So i expect nothing but grade A videos from him!
lol I don't even have kids but still always love a Kofuzi vid.
Bravo on covering kids running shoes for all the parents out there, a topic rarely discussed in the running community. I am glad your daughter enjoys running as much as you do. She could be an ace athlete in the making!
This is adorable. I hope your daughter's passion for running continues into her adult life.

I just love what you do! From Marathons to running shoes for kids to sampling mystery drinks from Japanese vending machines…..Just love it!
I like trying things

That’s great you can help them with Parkrun!

Wish my mom could've seen this video when I started running. Ran in indoor track spikes for a while 😂!
Perfect timing. I was just looking for new shoes for my daughter starting cross country.

I feel like the algorithm needs to pick up this video and share it far and wide… very useful!
thanks Andy!
Congratulations to your daughter Mr Ko. All the best to you!
thanks!
Father and Daughter Bonding Running, thats Awesome.. Done watching Kofuziiiiiiii See you in the next 1..
thanks for watching!
❤❤❤

Thanks soooo much for this!!! My son has a fundraiser run for school. The timing could be more gooder. Hells yeah.

This is awesome. I don't even have kids and still enjoyed it. You're so thorough !!
thanks for watching!
Great video, thank you. My kids just started probably school so not yet running but bookmarked for when the time comes
Enjoy the time!

I bought the smallest adult women shoes for my 12 yrs old daughter. Kids shoes always extra firm especially the Nike
Great video! The best every day shoe for my kids was the Altra Kokiri Youth. Unfortunately, Altra has discontinued selling children's shoes.
Still looking for a lightweight, low to the ground shoe with less drop and not too much cushioning.
It’s a strange time when one brand that has long had a legit kids running shoe is discontinuing them, yet another brand is starting to make them
What a super interesting video! Thanks so much, I was thinking about this topic lately and of course kofuzi made the video 😎
glad it's helpful!
Great video! My 10 year old has novablast 2”s and her favorite new balance fresh foam 860. Thanks for the great information
Not a kid and don't have kids, just here to show some support! lol.
I appreciate you!
Wow she's all grown up now !!!! Great Video & Review
time flies
my daughter got into going on runs with me, I got her some endorphin kid shoes and so far she loves em!
Excellent!

good points
all the more reason to get a kid fitted at run specialty if one can
Little disappointed there was no dry heaving b-roll at the end 😉😆 Great info here for us parents of young runners!
Theme for her off-season running was “all-day pace”.
Nothing longer than 2 miles. And we read the same young adult novels and chatted about it on all our runs.
This was my favorite summer of running
This is gold.
the GS pegasus has different geometry for kids!, softer zoomair unit, wider toebox and tougher rubber! ohh and no rear zoomair-unit!
hey mate, do you think about reviewing decathlon's kiprun kd900x/900?
I do not currently have plans to review those models
Nice vid kofuzgod! Just wondering if you'll be reviewing the Adidas Boston 12?
Testing it currently
Awesome. When can my daughter start running too?
Some adults in my area use Nike revolution 6 for 5k road running 🤧
Brilliant vid Ko 👍❤️, could you do a kids shoe review every couple of months to help parents make good and informative choices.
I’m not sure I want to regularly do this, it maybe once a year or so
@@kofuzionce or twice would be great, it would be a big help to us parents as the adults and kids 👟 will most likely differ 👍

I don't usually make my year end recaps until year end
Hah - kudos to getting your daughter a Ghost even though it's not your fav shoe in the least. But it paid off!
When i was a kid, my only concern is the weight of the shoes. Cushioning and rebound weren't an issue when you have young springy legs. I could run in any shoes as long as they are not too heavy!! 😂 Back then, having a pair of Adidas was already luxury! Hoka did not exist

Nicely done
ASICS GT1000 great favourite of my 8year old runner
I never in thought I would ever see the Kofuzi channel recommend the Ghost.
I'm always happy to learn and experience new things
Great video. Very informative
Wonderful topic!
Maybe you can advise your new friend Fred Kerley on running shoes for his many siblings?
Great Kidfuzi video!
thanks!
My 6 year old is 54 inches tall and fits my wife's size 8.5 womens shoes. I buy him adult women shoes or mens size 6.5 if I can find them.
thanks for the feedback!
Here for this content!
Thanks for watching!
My son has worn adult sizes since 2nd grade. He now wears size 16.
whoa 😮
Thank you for this!
I have the same revolution 6 its rock for someone who wants to run more than 50k a week

You forgot the greatest kids running shoe company of all time, Skechers. Actual Razor 3s and Razor Excess, with real Hyperburst, on small feet.
I would recommend Hykes Kids barefoot shoes if you want want the best for their feet, I would never let my kid wear regular restricted shoes.
This is so cute!
Ain't even have kids but I'm here to help that algo aye
I appreciate you
I wish my daughter became a runner like her dad.. 😊😅😂
my goal has always been for my daughter to enjoy being active. however she expresses that is fine by me

Adidas seems to be very popular with kids of this age
