I've had similar experience in my own life to this.
I lot of times low confident people will twist their insecure thoughts as "this confident people is terrible" found myself doing it a bit when I was a teen guy myself.

yeah I definitely did that too. I think it takes meeting more people to realize it's silly. Maybe it's learning to like yourself that lets you like people who like themselves? idk
