"Thats Homer Simpson, sir." "Who?" "All the major events of your life in the last few years have involved him in one way or another." "Right. Send him in."
I remember seeing a theory that part of the reason why the Simpsons declined is because of real life. When it first aired, an unintellectual working-class blue-collar worker with no college degree could get by with the lifestyle in the Simpsons (family of five, four bedroom home, two pets, two cars and a pensioner), but not so much now due to recessions, deregulation, union busting and outsourcing. So that appeal of the middle-class nuclear family no longer works because that American Dream is long dead
Fun fact: the family name Smallwood originates from the swedish Smaldal, reached England during King George of Norway crusade, then after the crusade reached Italy where it became Smaldone. The name still remains in Italy except for a small part that mysteriously reached Argentina just after the end of the Second World War.
So…ole Karl has some Nazi heritage? Thats a weird mix of terrible and cool. Like yeah, it was a Nazi, inarguably the biggest POSs in history…but the knowledge that your family history is so entwined with such a major chapter in history is just straight up cool, regardless of the side.
I could listen to Karl talking about Simpsons all day. Simpsons back in the day was a go-to show for me. I also had a VHS loaded up with recorded episodes. I don't remember all of them, but I specifically remember the candy venus episode, the african episode, and the australian episode specifically on it.
"Lisa, in this house we respect the laws of Thermodynamics" because it was the only Simpsons joke my dad ever liked. He always liked "smarter comedy" and he rarely laughed at the Simpsons, but he cackled like a madman with that one. (He is a Chemist by trade)
Ever before you brought it up later in the episode, I was thinking about how you got the green screen tattoo on your arm along with the green screen shirts and mugs, and how much I love that. People need to lighten up and just learn to enjoy the little things in life. Stuff like that is the main reason I continue to watch your content.
My favorite Moleman quote is when Bart and Lisa are fighting and they see him sitting across the street. "You're gay for Moleman!" "No, you're gay for Moleman!" Moleman, sadly to himself - "Nobody's gay for Moleman."
I'm a Lisa fan, so my favorites are the beach episode "It's a bird thing. You don't control the birds, you will some day; but not now." and the military school episode Bart: "I thought you came here looking for a challenge" Lisa: "Duh, a challenge I could do!". There's more, but like, ya know, whatever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think I have a tie for my favorite Simpsons quote. It's either the "Batman" exchange between Homer and Marge in the monorail episode(although that whole episode was very quotable. "I call the big one Bitey,") or that time Homer and Marge left the kids under the care of Abe and the kids got taken away and forced to live with the Flanderses. And when they confronted him, all he said was "Oh, bitch bitch bitch." That cracks me up every time
My favorite moleman line comes from the latest season Homer: Moleman, we got a couple of sjw's, suspected jaywalkers, at 3 o'clock. Engage with extreme hostility. Moleman: copy, gun safety and body cam off. *gun fire in the distance*
I think the best joke to come out of the Principal and the Pauper is way later on, in the episode where Lisa goes through like 5 cursed cats who all die, until she adopts a stray and just says "You know, I think we'll just call you snowball II" Skinner pops up, "Don't you think that's a little disingenuous?" "Good point, Mr. Tanzeryan"
I have a Geo Storm the sporty version of the Metro (based on an Isuzu impulse rather than the Suzuki Swift) and actually MADE a few stickers with Ned Flanders saying "I CAN'T IT'S A GEO!"
"Success doesnt have to look like one thing, for you to still be successful" Yeardley Smith reflecting on a 40 year career, not at the movie star as she set out to be, instead getting to be a part of something incredible.
When it comes to quotes from the Simpsons I use a lot, my number one is from the Mr. Plow episode. "And now we play the waiting game." (long pause) "Aw, the waiting game sucks! Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos."
Turns out the 300th episode of The Simpsons was written by Andrew Kreisberg, most known for writing on CW arrowverse and being such a creep that something like 20 women he'd worked with came forward with accusations of sexual misconduct.
Favorite lines from the Simpsons: 1. Mom, there's a weird smell and a lot of cursing coming from the basement and dad's upstairs. -Lisa Simpson 2. Oh Smithers, I would have said anything to get your stem cells. -Mr. Burns
It was great growing up in NJ. We got both FoxNY and FoxPhiladelphia. I forget which was which, but one did Simpsons at 5:30 and 6, while the other did 6 and 6:30. So at 6 you got to pick which episode you wanted to watch of the 2.
One of my favorite sight gags was when Homer and Apu were breaking into a zoo and Apu says "These animals certainly do act differently at night" and then you see a turtle climbing a tree and swing from branch to branch and below are a trio of koalas are now carnivorous and devouring a deer. And whenever the chance to tell people animal trivia occurs, i fiendishly tell them those two false facts. Haha
I am in my late 40s so I watched the series each week starting with season 2 (that is when it came to Canada). It is funny to look back at how my friends and I disected every episode and we knew it had peeked at season 5 when season 7 hit. Many argue that season 6 is the best but for us Season 5 was just incredible and we all agreed there was a decline in quality with season 6. I even remmebr us calling the end for the Simpsons after the second spisode of season 7. Nothing will top the out of control laughter we shared watching "Homer Goes to College" in 1993, "Dropped his notes!" might be the best joke ever written.
Spoilers for Who Shot Mr. Burns I was sure they would pick a character that would realistically face no consequences. That made me narrow it down to Maggie or Santa’s Little Helper. I went with the dog 😂
This has made me realise I’ve probably only seen roughly half of the Simpsons and I’m not sure if I’m disappointed with myself or happy I have so much left to enjoy!
Lisa: I don’t think anyone in this family could.. kill.. someone! Grandpa Simpson: I don’t know about that Lisa. I never thought I could shoot down a German plane, but, last year I proved myself wrong!
On TV today they showed an episode that has one of my favourite Millhouse jokes: Millhouse: "Bart, remember when I was crying at recess? I think I'm finally ready to tell you why." Bart: "let's see what's on TV!" Another favourite Thrillho quote is in the episode where Bart gets him on the FBI's most wanted list. They copy the Fugitive scene in the dam and he jumps and goes "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ouch! My glasses!"
So, I had never seen beauty and the beast as a child, so when my wife dragged me to the live action remake, imagine my horror to discover that Disney had ripped off see my vest from the Simpsons...
i came here to see what interesting story Karl will talk about. But when i went to see what everyones favourite Simpsons quote is i realised it's over 45 minutes long and i've 40 more minutes of Karl ranting about the Simpsons. There goes my morning
Watched this channel early 2020. Love it. Hope the best for it. But I hope to see some new creative anything from them. Always throws me off when I see homeboy tattooless hahaha all love 🤍
My favorite quote is in Spanish because the Latin American dub of the Simpsons is pure gold "Me quiero volver chango! Mi auto!" also "Stupid sexy Flanders"
i think the episode that i remenber the most about the simpsons was when mr.burns wanted his teddy bear but maggy had it, for whatever reason the montage of the little teddy bear made me really sad, still not sure why
Probably the episode where Homer intentionally gains 61 pounds to go on disability, he he he. esc, ctarl, pigup. The fingers you have used to dial are too fat.
One story for them being yellow is to mess with first time viewers. When Simpson's first came out the TV's were old and you could adjust 3 colors by using nobs. The viewer would get up and try to get the skin color right.
see no one ever mentions the episode where homer becomes the commissioner for sanitation (bit of a willy wonka homage) and U2 and Burns say "wankers" during the episode and in the credits 🤣🤣 It's edited out in the UK so I doubt many will know about this
The three simpsons quotes that come to my brain would have to be "I think women and seamen don't mix" "Oh, we all know what you think" "Of course, Marge, but there's 'the truth' (shakes head) and 'the truth!' (eagerly nods)" And of course, the all time classic, "Nobody's gay for moleman". (Which is categorically untrue)
my mother is like 90% sure shes related to John Waters (which i suppose means i am too which is pretty sure) shes pretty sure he gave her a swing set when she was young. she is a Waters from NJ lol
The ones we always quote are “my eyes! The goggles do nothing!” And “you’ll have to speak up, I’m wearing a towel”. Edit: also as a self appointed nerd the amount of times I’ve heard homers “neeeeerrrrrrd!”…
I taped at least ten years of the show starting with the original Christmas one-shot. But my last (of about ten) VCR died this year. And I canceled cable a decade ago. So other than youtube clips I haven't seen The Simpsons in a while. There was a period in the '90s when I could never get through a conversation without inserting a few Simpsons quotes. My musical pick would be Stop The Planet of the Apes, I Want To Get Off, with "I hate every ape I see, from chimpan A to chimpanzee" being one of the greatest lines ever. With the Monorail song being a close second. As for lines... well, I'm old and obese so it's not really all that funny, but I gotta love "imaginary future fat hillbilly Lisa" and the line "I warsh myself with a rag on a stick". Because, well, gross, but it can be a challenge.
"I am so smart! S-M-R-T.... I mean S-M-A-R-T!" I mean; it's super stupid, I didn't watch much Simpsons when I was young but I played the crap out of Hit & Run. So many good stupid quotes from that game. I also love that it's PG rated GTA 😂 Still waiting for that remake.... 🥶
"Thats Homer Simpson, sir."
"Who?"
"All the major events of your life in the last few years have involved him in one way or another."
"Right. Send him in."

'Mysteriously reached argentina' 😏
Wrong it's a camoflouge teqnich to hide karl and his male lines massive dongz
So…ole Karl has some Nazi heritage? Thats a weird mix of terrible and cool. Like yeah, it was a Nazi, inarguably the biggest POSs in history…but the knowledge that your family history is so entwined with such a major chapter in history is just straight up cool, regardless of the side.
@@sebastionherring4196dude, no.
@@sebastionherring4196 he has ancestors in common with nazis, like 700 years ago
I love that in this string of old episodes duck taped together we can see the regression of the greenscreen to a wall with some green on it.
My two favourite Simpson quotes are "Bart you know what a loft is?" "I think it has hay in it" and "DEATH TO MAGGIE!"
The classic:
"Simpson, Homer Simpson, He's the greatest guy in history. From the Town of Springfield, He's about to hit a chestnut tree".
What a GRAND ditty
I could listen to Karl talking about Simpsons all day. Simpsons back in the day was a go-to show for me. I also had a VHS loaded up with recorded episodes. I don't remember all of them, but I specifically remember the candy venus episode, the african episode, and the australian episode specifically on it.

"Ah i see u've played knifey spoony before"
Fav line
Ralph Wiggum is a modern day philosopher and you cannot convince me otherwise
Ever before you brought it up later in the episode, I was thinking about how you got the green screen tattoo on your arm along with the green screen shirts and mugs, and how much I love that. People need to lighten up and just learn to enjoy the little things in life. Stuff like that is the main reason I continue to watch your content.
"Wait a minute! What was that last one?" "Saxophone?" ".... Lisa, will you stop playing that... SAXOPHONE! That's the one!"
My favorite Moleman quote is when Bart and Lisa are fighting and they see him sitting across the street.
"You're gay for Moleman!"
"No, you're gay for Moleman!"
Moleman, sadly to himself - "Nobody's gay for Moleman."

And she looks like Blossom!
LIsa, that's so unlike you. Exactly.
Great episode.
"I feel like I'm gonna die, Bart."
"We're all gonna die, Lise."
"I meant soon..."
"...So did I."
I think I have a tie for my favorite Simpsons quote. It's either the "Batman" exchange between Homer and Marge in the monorail episode(although that whole episode was very quotable. Homer: Moleman, we got a couple of sjw's, suspected jaywalkers, at 3 o'clock. Engage with extreme hostility.

Radio Bart: when Groundskeeper Willie grabs his shovel and says, "Agnes, we've got work to do." Epic shirt rip.
"I heard your dad went into a restaurant ate everything in the restaurant and they had to close the restaurant"
I think the best joke to come out of the Principal and the Pauper is way later on, in the episode where Lisa goes through like 5 cursed cats who all die, until she adopts a stray and just says
"You know, I think we'll just call you snowball II"
Skinner pops up, "Don't you think that's a little disingenuous?"
"Good point, Mr. Tanzeryan"

That Mr. Burns impression was spot the fook on😂😂😂
Turns out the 300th episode of The Simpsons was written by Andrew Kreisberg, most known for writing on CW arrowverse and being such a creep that something like 20 women he'd worked with came forward with accusations of sexual misconduct.
Weekend at Burnsie's "It's a MURDER Marge, a group of crows is called a murder".
Favorite lines from the Simpsons:
1. Mom, there's a weird smell and a lot of cursing coming from the basement and dad's upstairs. -Lisa Simpson
2. Oh Smithers, I would have said anything to get your stem cells. -Mr. Burns

Let's never speak of the shortcut again.
I used to watch this channel a few years ago, forgot all about it, then it popped up in a short. So glad i re found this guy
There’s kids who don’t know what a dvd was
I love when Ralph Wiggum pipes up in class and just says "Soylent Green is people"
This was the best video i could have picked to watch before work needed the boost
I am in my late 40s so I watched the series each week starting with season 2 (that is when it came to Canada). Butter up that bacon boy...
Bacon up that sausage
Favorite quote and prefect response to this video:
“NERRRRRRRD!”
My favorite episodes have always been Three Men and a Comic Book and Homer at the Bat.
Lisa: I don’t think anyone in this family could.. kill.. someone!
Grandpa Simpson: I don’t know about that Lisa. I never thought I could shoot down a German plane, but, last year I proved myself wrong!
Love that the smrt I mean smart was a accident by Dan Castanella but they kept it in and it’s brilliant
9:38 for real life? I suspect that Karl is a Bluey Fan
1:35 we do know smithers story, his dad used to work for burns and died in the core and burns looked after smithers
On TV today they showed an episode that has one of my favourite Millhouse jokes:

Floor it Neddie!
I can't, it's a GEO!!! 😂
So, I had never seen beauty and the beast as a child, so when my wife dragged me to the live action remake, imagine my horror to discover that Disney had ripped off see my vest from the Simpsons...
Why would she ever want a live-action remake to be your first exposure to it? And one of the best Disney movies, too.
As a fan from my childhood, too short of an episode, we need more karl talking about the simpsons
i came here to see what interesting story Karl will talk about. But when i went to see what everyones favourite Simpsons quote is i realised it's over 45 minutes long and i've 40 more minutes of Karl ranting about the Simpsons. There goes my morning

Simpsons is good again. (Search for that exact title on youtube)
Apparently season 30-31 is good. But 32-34 Is really good.
" You made me bleed, my own blood"
The Halloween one the shining with homer saying give me the bat its the funny faces homer makes
see no one ever mentions the episode where homer becomes the commissioner for sanitation (bit of a willy wonka homage) and U2 and Burns say "wankers" during the episode and in the credits 🤣🤣 It's edited out in the UK so I doubt many will know about this

I live in a small city in Indiana.
We have twins that work in our DMV.
I always thought that was crazy!
Simpson's was on channel 4 at 6.30
I said "BBC 2 at 6pm" in sync with my video 😅
“To alcohol the cause of and answer to all of life’s problems”
I say "Yoink" on almost a daily basis 😂
"i'm a unitard."" ~Raphie
"The Denver Broncos?"
Now that is a title! Let’s see how awesome this is…
For even younger kids, bluray is the before video on demand subscription like Netflix etc
Ol’ Gus aka Gus Gunderson.
I still remember watching the Simpsons on The Tracey Ullman Show before The Simpsons were The Simpsons.
BBC2 at 6pm! Also after that Channel 4 took over 🙂
The only reason I don't have my Simpsons music cd in my van now is no cd player
“Hitler, North Dakota?!?”
I use "you laughed in off the hook" and yoink.
Surely i'm not the only one here who's Disney+ subscription, is really more of a Simpsons+ subscription.
"I am so smart! S-M-R-T.... I mean S-M-A-R-T!"
I mean; it's super stupid, I didn't watch much Simpsons when I was young but I played the crap out of Hit & Run. So many good stupid quotes from that game. I also love that it's PG rated GTA 😂
Still waiting for that remake.... 🥶
I adore this
his al-bean-o twin brother
Fingers are too fat, to order a special dialing wand smash the keys now.
When Marge was a cop was great!
Sherri and Terri aren't animated in yellow. I always thought that was to indicate they were albino to add to their "creepy twins" vibe
No bowl,stick stick!
Boo to you? Karl I think you mean Boo-urns to you!
I use the term cromulent on a daily basis thanks to the Simpsons
Hi karl
Little beatle friend is so cute, I want one!!
Am i the only one who laughs harder when a someone british/irish/australian calls someone a wanker?
You obviously haven't heard us call people bellends enough
Brett Hart’s cameo is pretty good I think. Or do I just really like Brett Hart?
Isnt carl black 1:28 or is that lenny i cant tell im blind with a black and white tv if the bbc asks
I'm more of a south park fan. "The Simpsons did it" episode is great.
5:06 Karl doesn't want to watch Porn Stars? He's at his Mum's why would he watch Porn Stars?
🤣🤣 I mean who'd wanna not watch porn stars and watch pawn stars instead right?
Wait wtf happened to your tattoo?
