I hear you with the key segment of this video. For years I tried minimizing my key load. And then I discovered finger ID door locks and electric vehicles. Now I have zero keys!!!!! I do hide a physical key under a rock by my front door(don’t tell anyone). I totally love a NO KEY LIFE. Also, minimal wallets are great. I never met one I liked, so I started making my own. However, now with digital pay and my state allowing digital driver’s license I am almost home free. The only thing I end up carrying now a days is my phone and Apple Watch.
Howzabout a pre-interwebs/ pre-smartphone EDC set up: wallet, keys, handkerchief, pocket knife, wristwatch, bracelet, a ring or two, maybe a lighter and a cigar cutter and that is it. Oh, and only pay with cash. Thus you are far less encumbered, The Man can't trace your minute to minute whereabouts and you're not walking around always "on call" like you think you're mister special. Anyhow, great videos as always, Brock.
That Christopher Ward C63 GMT is an excellent value. I've handled pretty much every one of their watches at their new U.S. showroom. Although the 39mm would be more my size (I'm quite tall), the 36 or 39 in this line is great. The quick adjust built into the clasp on that bracelet is extremely clever, and I wish more butterfly clasps could do that. The thing I like about the dragonfly blue version is it definitely stands out from the likes of the Explorer II. It is attention getting without being ostentatious. They even color matched the date wheel, so you know they're sweating the small details.
I haven’t personally owned one, but look into Enso for rings. It’s a rubber ring with a metallic finish that should be more comfortable since it can stretch when your fingers swell throughout the day
I have the iPhone 14 Pro and no desire to upgrade. The watch case looks magnificent since I plan to add three new automatic watches. FYI, the best breath mint to have if you are not a fan of chewing gum is Altoids.
8:14 as a graphic designer I can tell you that me and all my peers have favorite colours and we use them in our work and personal lives with joy. Investing in a favorite color gets you places!
I still hold my mini 12 256gb… a small beast and charging it twice a day is not a problem to me.. size matters, and the smaller you carry the more comfortable you will be.. my Casio oak in yellow and my omega moonwatch snoopy are the two watches switching depending on the case
that story about the iphone 13 mini resonates with me, and I'm glad you didn't upgrade. mine's a somewhat extreme case since I plan on replacing my iPhone 12 mini's battery after taking it to the apple store and receiving a 700+$ quote.
Alright now for a comment about the video. I would really like to upgrade to those key accessories. Carabiners just don't do it. Also, can't wait for the watch box review. Love a good watch and knife box. I've had a drop one since 2019 and I don't know what I would have done without it all these years.
My iPhone 11 Pro is still trucking along after almost 5 years. I agree there’s no need to upgrade every year or two. Though at this point its battery has degraded significantly, so I’m looking to upgrade to the latest soon. But, 5 years is a good run for a phone imo
I dropped my mini 13, and had to get a 15. It is a little too big. I do really like the extra battery life. Less battery anxiety. Also, can we get a company that shrinks car fobs?
@@BrockMcGoff I have looked at the internals of my fob, and there is plenty of wasted space (even with the big chips they use). If I ever get a 3d printer, it is going to be my first hardcore project.
Would love your thoughts (either extended in a longer video/long term) on the CW watch. I’ve been eyeballing that for so long and would love your take after a while. Seems like they have been sending them out to peeps for a week or two here or there and then having them send it back. Does this apply to you? Regardless, nice video!
Yes repare shops are totally underrated, including laptops. Don’t trust Geek Squad either, they charge an arm and a leg plus they push you into paying an expensive insurance you will never use. I had issues with my phone and laptop that the local repair shop fixed fast, cheap and easily.
Love the video! I was looking for a duffle bag and this video was perfect, For sure I will take in consideration the Nomad one. I was looking for one I could lock since some times I travel by myself, and I wanna lock the bag so I can use the airplane restroom without worrying. But it has been harder than I thought, most bag doesn’t have 2 zipper or the zipper doesn’t have the space to fit a lock.

13 mini gang! Hate that they won’t be making it anyone.
Totally missed my chance to grab one when it was still available. Phones now are like "phablets" years ago.

You need to look into Maui Jim sunglasses. They’ll blow your mind. Top tier lens quality and durable frames in a variety of shapes.
Will do!
I second that, I only wear Maui Jim’s after always wearing ray ban, Persol, spy and a few other brands. Lens on the MJs are second to none!

That would be amazing! The last SE was underwhelming.
Replace the SE with a mini version? I’m in.
