Very unique and creative! One thing I love about Tye and his music is that he’s not the status quote.....not the typical gospel, its New, different, but it’s true worship and that’s why his music and altogether person that he is has captured us the worshippers! The people who don't like this obviously haven't listened to him since the Victory album. His music has always been theatrical and diverse.
Shalaya Davis Very true. Tye has always been theatrical and diverse. The fact that his voice wasn't on the verses and chorus gave this song a totally different feel. Had Tye sang the entire song, it would have seemed more familiar to his fans. But, the music, musicianship and arrangement are very signature Tye.

guitargeekette tbh victory is the earliest album I know of. I know he toured with Justin Timberlake and wrote for Common but I didn't know he had an album out during that time.? That's awesome. But yeah they probably only heard If He Did It Before.
There was "Life" before Victory. If I'm not mistaken, he had some stuff from back in the 90s too...

Praying for all those that dislike this song or think it's too theatrical. The message is simple "I want more of Jesus" and the music is beautiful...the strings especially. Not all gospel/Christian music is going to be good ol' Baptist foot stompin , spoon scrapin, hand clapping music. Music is evolving to what young people are listening to and it needs to because young people are lost.

Why is there so much negativity in the comments man😒😒 personally I love the lyrics in this song cos we actually need more of Jesus in our generation. Sia, Lady Gaga, and some say Gwen Stefani (I don't hear Gwen much though lol)...cool stuff. It just sucks that in secular music, these voice types and styles are embraced, but in Gospel, they are saying "Tye couldn't find another singer?" >.< Bless Tye for staying true to a creative vision AND bringing the Gospel.

It's a desperate cry for WHOLENESS "We gotta have more" the song says. Folks are walking around empty without the presence of Yahweh, having never encountered His Holy Spirit. I am so grateful. I don't care what no body says, this song is anointed. While listening to this song the Lord revealed to me that there was going to be a new sound being produced in the atmosphere. This song may not be your traditional song you like to listen to but we must always be opened to new things in life.

Today is the 2 year anniversary of an incident that happened to me that has put me in bed with severe chronic pain through out my body everyday and I have been through major neck and spinal surgeries and I have to do it all over again bc my neck didn't fuse right. But all the glory belongs to my Abba Father that He allowed me to go through it and not complain or murmur not one time, why bc I know He choose me, He favored me to be a vessel of worship and praise to Him through it all. I was working on my second album when I got hurt and let me tell you something, this wonderful situation this promotion from Him not a punishment at all,that I have to endure ,has cause me to fall in love with Yahuah so much more. Agreed. I had to come back and listen to this jawn. And this singer NAILED this song and took me on a musical journey. From her being in that lower registry in the beginning of the song, deep and theatrical, then soaring to those high notes at the end...sheesh! She painted a clear picture for me. This song is 🔥🔥. Many ppl can't think out of the box or hear anything different than what they're accustomed to in gospel music. They want the same old stuff...If it ain't a bump, or full of runs and growling, or Contemporary worship...they can't relate.
