Janet put on a great performance as always. What is apparent is that she was having technical issues with her mic. If you pay attention, you can see her signal stage left that she needs more volume a couple of times. She also attempts to adjust the settings on her own in the midst of dancing. Alas, the show must go on, so she made the best of it.

She's live UNDER a backing track which everyone does. The problem is the backing track went out at certain parts so she missed a few parts cuz it would have sounded off without the vocal fillers. When you dance and walk around you have to Use them to cover heavy breathing etc.
She's a good performer but doesn't really engage with the crowd and is rather mechanical. Not knocking her she's obviously naturally shy. That's why she got negative feedback for the performance.

After seeing JJ take the stage like this, I understand why some people say that Beyonce is NOT in icon status yet. just wanna shout out these amazing hard working dancers. following some of them as they build their careers I'm wild proud..dancing for janet is a pinnacle. discovering dancers thru her is dope as well..it's like the pop Alvin ailey. everyone is executing an iconic high standard together but everyone has their own glow & dances with a spirit that's deeper than just entertainment.
