RUSS BALLARD wrote the songs: Ace Frehley Solo album - New York Groove & Frehley’s Comet debut- Into the Night! Into the night is fantastic lyrically & Ace added IMO one of his BEST Guitar Solos to that song. It was the first release off the Frehley’s Comet album. Happy Friday Cheers Mike! 🍺
I hope Colton's settling in allright. So good that there is a record store within walking distance that has some bargains. And hope you find the perfect house Mike!🍻✌
Great video! Love Russ Ballard! So many bands covered his tunes. Uriah Heep, Rainbow, KISS, Roger Daltrey, Night Ranger, etc. That Sniff ‘n’ the Tears album is killer. I saw Status Quo live, they were so good! Sherbs! Man, what a great haul! Cheers
@@7BobbyGaylor7 Hi Bobby! I was back at the same store this last weekend, and have some more stuff I’ve been listening to this week currently. Stay tuned! ✌️
Happy Thanksgiving Mike and Patty. I remember the old Utica Club beer commercials from when I was a kid, two German beer steins with mustachiod characters on them. Hilarious. I’ve never seen that Jerry Jeff record before, would have snatched that up right away. That Sniff album is so good, found my copy in the dollar bin. Just got back from Seattle, tried to send you pictures from the game, but they came back as undelivered 😢. Stadium wifi was terrible. Came back with some killer records I’ll be showing soon, you’ll be impressed. Have a great weekend my friend.
Sniff N The Tears were a great band. They put out 4 albums between 78 and 82. The main man Paul Roberts not only sang and wrote the songs but he also painted the cover art on all the albums. I think he was going for the private eye/thriller paperback novel type style. One talented guy. He ended up in The Stranglers for a while.
Hi Mike, I hope you and Patty are enjoying Buffalo. That 60 day requirement to close on a house seems silly. I always liked voices but had no idea who sang it. I would buy that Russ Ballard record for the same reason you did. Colten does appear to be high. I never heard of sniff n the tears. I will check them out. Although I heard of Status Que I can’t remember any of their songs so will revisit them as well. Survivor for free is outstanding. Great pickups.
@@vinylshawn4757 Status Quo opened Live Aid at Wembley as I said. Huge in the UK but never really got any traction in the states. Definitely worth checking out Shawn. They’re nothing fancy. Just straight up rock n roll. Fun stuff! ✌️
Hey hey hey Bonjour Mike, ca va bien? Am very happy you re fitting into your new exclusive Utica Club, it is the first club sold in the US after Prohibition club closed… Nice to see you, great picks, am pretty sure those Revolver Cruise Seats are just selling like if it was a Rocky vs Drago fight, best of luck on your house shopping, see you soon man 🍻🎶✌🏼
Just dropped by to catch up, and see how things are going. 🍺Cheers. That Screaming Tribesmen is a long way from home.........surely Ben didn't put you onto Sherbs: had to check if they are the Aussie teenybopper band once known as Sherbet - I'm sure they are (I don't have any of their records.....😊) That Sniff 'n' The Tears is one of my fave record covers. Good luck with the house hunting. Cheers from Oz. John D.

Cheers, Mike! That Vital Signs album holds such a special place in my heart. That was one of my go-to childhood albums. I grew up seeing Jim Peterik here around Chicagoland. He’s such a nice guy. If you want, next time I see him, I can get a copy signed for you. 😊
Nice stuff there, Mike! Catching your Friday Cheers on a Sat morning as a start to the holiday weekend. 'Voices' is stuck in my head now! Can never have enough Tammy. Check out the version of 'White Cliffs Of Dover' off of The Crying Game soundtrack: it's pretty great. Enjoy the long weekend 😎🎶
@@onmyturntable7036 Hi Ed! I’m late responding to comments due to the level of activity going on here these days. Hoping things settle down soon. So many changes! ✌️
That Corona cat nip toy is something Norman would love too. Suzie's not so much into the nip, but she does have a bender every once in a while. Actually, that Sniff n the Tears album has got some great tracks on it (and a few that were a bit questionable), but it's always worth having a copy in the collection. I have seen at least one (maybe two) other albums by them, but I've never bothered listening to them or picking them up, the one always seems to suffice. I guess if I see one sometime for a cheap price, I'll probably check it out. I have that same cover of the Status Quo record. It's not a bad record, but their "Quo" album will always be my favorite from them, kind of a southern boogie style that really surprised me when I first heard it. Great finds! Sorry it took so long for me to get to this video, I did try a few times before but kept getting interrupted. But, as they say, better late than even later.
The first time I bought a house in Toronto the closing was 4 months! But, that was because of the seller. Every subsequent closing (there have been three of them) has been 60 to 90 days. Driver;'s Seat from Sniff 'n' the Tears is excellent. They made 9 albums!! The Sherbs doesn't ring a bell, but I just listened to that track just to be sure. I have never heard it before. For some reason, they remind me of Canadian band Zon. Maybe that is way off. Cheers!
@@MGKBOSTON My line on our current house was, after a satisfactory viewing, I laid it out for the vendor: "I'm on a relocation package, and the company is paying for everything. If this house falls through, we'll just go buy another house. We'll give you your asking price, but if there are any delays we will go elsewhere." I think we agreed on them leaving at the six week mark, and they moved into a rental rather than risk not getting their price! 😎 We might have paid a premium, but over the twenty-five years that followed, peanuts.
The Utica Club sounds too exclusive for me. You also need to do updates on whether the Loch Ness Monster is found. Tammy no man could hold her 😂 Does anyone know anything besides Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor? Cheers....KOS
