My Grammy used too always make a big Sunday meal. She always had a full spread with fresh baked pies and maybe a cake as well. She always made spaghetti for the kids as an additional side just in case the kids didn't like the main entrée. She got it ready while we were at Sunday School and then she went to church while everything finished cooking. She always had about 8 feet worth of food ready to feed whoever came. And it was always all delicious. She used to run a boarding house and knew how to feed hungry men. I learned so much from her. I'm glad you're passing on your legacy as well. ❤

I grew up eating chicken adobo (braised in water, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, onion, Bay leaf, and pepper (Mom usually puts peppercorns in hers but I prefer ground) or Filipino barbecue (it's soured with calamansi). Lee might have eaten foods like this and our son Daniel would like everything except the greens. He only likes most greens in sinigang (Filipino sour soup and my most favorite food; Daniel loves it too; Lee doesn't like it). Most Filipino foods start with a base of onions, garlic, and ginger. My father was Caucasian and my mother is Asian (Filipino).
