Just an FYI, this is not a sponsored post, just my opinion on what I've used over the last few years. The only other top contender that I failed to mention was the T-reign pliers which I can also highly recommend.
Joshua, I really like your presentation and your no BS explanation of the products. You cut to the chase, say what you mean, and get to the point instead of trying to make a 30 minute video out of a 10 minute video. I like that. Keep it up. Happy Easter and stay safe.
I've been using a blue Piscifun plier for a little bit over 4 years now. It's been great and worth the money, definitely, I don't need a more expensive one to do the job. And yes, as you mentioned, the holder is really uncomfortable, so I end up just put the plier in my back pocket. It's a great review video, Josh. Thanks for sharing.
Aluminum pliers always bend and twist. The first Dancos are the only ones I would buy. Lots of chinese versions of the steel Dancos out there, all presumably made in china.
I recently purchased a set of fishing pliers as my Rapala saltwater ones rusted shut. I went with the Sidomma Multi-use saltwater pliers. Been fishing with it for the last month and I love them. It is light, soft gripped, coated and the my favorite feature which I always have trouble finding is it locks. A simple feature ignored by most plier makers. When I got them I was so impressed that I wanted to buy four more but alas they are no longer available. All for under $20 Tight lines.
Wishing I found this video two weeks ago! Just ordered a new leather case and lanyard for my Accurate pliers, with shipping it was $75 shipped! I couldn't find the anywhere else. You're so right about the case needing to be clip on, that's a big deal. Really enjoyed the b-roll intro also man! I'm just getting ready to laugh a fishing channel with my son. Keep it up 👊🏻
Hey Joshua, first ~ I Love that shirt you were wearing. It is Sharp looking. I must say that I would wear one to a family pic-nic or other function. Now on to the meaning of this video. I remember when Stephanie got you the other pliers as a gift. You were soo happy to get them. I used to have a Leatherman that were also a gift and I liked them a lot. The pliers had a nice set of jaws but the cutters were not that good for cutting braid. The thing that Did cut braid good was the knife blade. I also used the knife (very sharp) to cut a lure out of my finger. So that is 1 for the Leatherman's. SO, for that reason if I could find them again, I would definitely carry two pair. The ones you showed had much longer jaws. So I definitely liked them for that reason. Thank you for the informative comparison. It was nice seeing them side by side. I did notice a little more sharpness with the video but I watch your videos for you and your content. Maybe when you catch a fish and the color would be sharper I can compare them better. Keep up the Great work. As always, Be Well guys and gals. God Bless and hope you had a Blessed Easter. ✝
Time to replace my rusty pliers even though they have served me well for many years. Maybe I’ll hang them on my wall to retire them. Thanks for reviewing the dancos. Some great options
Thanks Josh! Just moved to Crystal River and I fish pretty much every day. Always looking to learn more about gear and techniques. Great video too. Gotta say I bought a pair of the Tsunamis about 4 months ago because I left my others in Oregon and they’re already starting to spread out making a tight pinch tough. I’ll definitely check out the Dancos. Thanks again and “keep your tip up!”
I found the set with the rubber grips most appealing. I don't always use a clip and if the pliers are left in the sun they can get pretty hot. Nice comparisons.
I got my T-Reign from a Christmas white elephant party. People were passing them around d because they didn't know what they were. I saw them and ended up trading 6 Lotto tickets for them. Makes single hook upgrades lures 10x's easier!!!
I bought Mustad fishing pliers from Walmart they have cutters on the outside the were around $25, work very well, had them for over a year no problems. Still cut braid pretty good, I would like them to have the rubberized case though that's a nice feature. Great video I'll check out the Danco's they look good.
Love the Danco Pliers, i bought 2 pair in the past 5 years...my only gripe would be the case...Dont get me wrong , i think its a fantastic case especially compared to all the others but i did manage to quickly (within a few weeks of purchase) Broke both cases,,just by simply bumping into the railing of my boat the first time and bumped into a chair the second time and the clip stayed on my pants and the rest of the case was on the floor,,,the weak point is the swivel belt clip..keeps popping off.
Very informative video, the reason I watched! I'm in the market for a new set bc I'm currently using a pair of Craftsman 9" curved needlenose out of the tackle box that's getting pretty rusty. Think I'll get a set of Danco! Good video! 👍🏼✌️🏼
What’s up Josh, I own them picsifun pliers in the same color, an I like em but I did through the sheath/case in the garbage an ordered a style and craft leather sheath/case an it has an extra pocket for a nice small knife that I have an also comes in real handy, these vids are definitely awesome to through in the middle of fishing vids, they can definitely help people upgrade there gear if needed, 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thanks for the review Josh, and keep up the great posts. I need a set of pliers when I’m fishing from shore and will be checking out the Danco,s. Right now I do have a set of the Tsunami’s (same set you have) and on the boat I keep a Bubba set of pliers that so far have been good.....I agree with you though that most pliers have crappy holsters. Thanks again and see you out on the water.
Hey Josh. Not saying their better pliers, but I use the Bubba pliers which we all know are more then 50 dollars.. Just what I'm use to.. Great video and like the pliers and especially the cost. Always look forward to your videos.. Always your friend, fan, and subscriber.
Seems like Danco came out of nowhere and changed the game with their price point. Their pliers and fillet knives are top quality at working mans prices!!!

Awesome review! I was thinking of getting new ones, currently have the tsunami ones but the cutters are cracked. Google must be watching my thoughts. Lol i open up your channel and the first thing i see is this video! I'm going with danco when i can't afford to get one. I like their life time warranty on their products. Sorry about white lighting. I liked the video I have a cheap pair of pliers a friend gave me for free. The cutters are done, they are heavy, and really misaligned. Gonna check out amazon and get a pair of the last one you reviewed.
Hey im using Berkley straight nose pliers. Not the best but does the job. But was really looking to upgrade to Danco or Landers pliers. But thanks looking forward I Think im going with Danco pliers.
I don't currently have a pair of pliers for fishing but I've been researching between danco and bubba blade pliers. I have two of the bubba blade filet knives and I like them so far. What are your thoughts on the bubba blade pliers?
@@Saltyscales I ordered a pair of the admirals in lime fish skeleton before you sent your response. Used a promo code to get a little discount as well.
In my experience the best fishing pliers are Leathermans. You can bend a hook, cut it, unhook you batteries, cut you spinnerbait out of a tree, clean the fish, as well as getting the hook out of their mouth.
Are any of the cutters strong enough to cut through a hook? I had a treble hook embed in my hand and tried to cut through the hook and my crappy fish pliers broke!
How about kastking?.... just got me the kastking cuttthroat 7inch.... I love the grip and weight... plus it has holes to attach your hooks to cinch a fresh knot.... best of all they are coated steel
@@Saltyscales I've had a few of there of their earlier products for light inshore practicality it serves the cause.... but for the last couple years their saltwater equipment is slowly getting better.... they were focused on freshwater fishing.

I'd say my favorite value pliers are the KastKing Cutthroat split ring pliers, they are about $19 and they have really good grips.
