As lots of other people have also said, I really appreciate the amount of time and effort in creating these wonderful videos during your break times! The music accompanying the kms on the road, really go well with the scenery from your truck. Great job, get some decent rest and take care!
A bit gobsmacked with this one. The thought process that you are employing in putting these videos together is evolving at an impressive pace. Had a good laugh when you were apologising for skirting around the explanation of "long night hours". Didn't see that one coming. These videos cannot be the easiest to produce as this creative process gets incorporated into your work day so I can only think of the tightrope you must try and navigate in terms of balancing it with the job. I certainly appreciate you taking the time, and judging by the raft of comments preceeding this one, I don't think I am alone on this connotation. Thanks mate and take care.
I'm learning so much about your industry. It's a fantastic insight from your perspective, especially all the little details and small things that they don't tell us about in most videos that you have to do to keep on rolling to consistently get the jobs done.Your giving me a great understanding of the reality a driver has to deal with on a daily basis.Excellent work mate.👌🏽
Ken, every video is just getting better and better . The music, the angles, the detail in your videos mate I’m loving it . Keep it up , travel safe . I travel weekly for Newcastle to Coffs if I ever see your truck number 1715 I will give you a shout out 👍👍

Hi mate, I appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. As an office worker it’s a bit of escapism watching these. Like going on a road trip myself.
Another top notch effort Ken with this video too! The story telling , choices of music to go with particular parts, camera angles is so good! I especially like your soft, out of focus backgrounds during your pieces to camera ( thats what we call them in my industry😊). Excellent work mate you should be proud of your work. The best part too as someone commented in one of the other videos, they're 'family friendly' viewing too for all audiences👍👍
Gee Ken the servo at West Wyalong looked very very quiet. We have filled up there a few times when dragging the caravan up the Newell and it has been busy as. The last time was a few years ago and it was hot as hell According to temp on the dash of the Landcruiser outside temperature was 45 degrees. Thanks for the video Mate always enjoy you taking us along for the ride
I don't envy your random working hours mate , but utterly the views from your office windows are beautiful. Thanks for taking us along for the ride Ken . Stay safe & catch you next time 👍🇭🇲 .
Those hours are confusing, when I did my HR they came up in the booklet I had to study but because I didn’t really need to follow them I gave up on trying to understand it. I don’t drive outside the 100km radius.
Thanks for sharing. The next time we eat, drink or use something, spare a thought for blokes like Ken who make it happen. Greatly appreciate the effort you put into your videos. Stay safe on the road.
Hi Curly Pls dont stop making these vids they are so good. And whether on purpose or not, you are such a funny bloke with your comments. Good to see your looking after you food intake, strange how quick the body responds to the right foods, take it easy on the dried prunes, or you will have more wayside stops than you care for. Hey Ken. Great videos, we go back to the Bunker days , Yarraville depot. Know what you mean about the long night rests can be confusing, 12 hrs for me. Stay safe.
These bloody vlog things are making me crave the road again. I'm only 60 so I think I can still steer. I love the smell of chromebright in the morning.
Tonight (Monday 3rd) I went for my usual after dinner walk in Wagga Wagga. So down the hill to the Wagga Base Hospital and turn right at Hammond St (Sturt Highway). In the next six blocks including the roadworks, three Lindsay B-doubles from Adelaide passed me on their way to Sydney I suppose. I'm thinking, "I wonder if The homeless trucky is driving one of these?" Problem was, the trucks pass quickly and I don't know the number of your prime mover. As it turns out, you did not go through here are way north! I enjoy your vids - keep 'em coming and look after the blood pressure.
You must be in permanent jetlag all the time like I’m a truckdriver myself but the sale of it with that logbook can you get quite confusing after awhile I got driven down to Sydney in that trying to get back within the 24 times it’s gonna be a hectic time get stuck at places waiting on things hats off to you
Hi Kenny loving the videos, I’m wondering if you can explain overspeeds( running off the hill ) to younger drivers and how easily it can be done and also can you tell us how many watchers aren’t subscribers, I feel it will be a low number. Regards Craig (Bundaberg). If you ever in town let me know.
Another great video Kenny. Just wondering what is that mini sound bar looking thing that has 2 lights flashing either end of it. on the dash just above the gauges. I’ve been out of trucking for a long time. Just haven’t seen 1 before. 😎
And you don’t want to see one either lol,… it’s a guardian,… if you look away from the road for more than 1.5 seconds an alarm goes off and the seat shakes you,… thinks you’re nodding off
I suppose it would depend if it's a company truck or Ken's truck? If it's a company truck wouldn't the company be paying for the fuel through fuel cards? Maybe?
Hey Ken, another top shelf video - having to calculate your hours (what you’ve done and what you have left for the week / fortnight) must drive ya insane sometimes, especially if these allocators / schedulers aren’t paying attention.🙄 Are you gonna do a video of some of the sights in Goondiwindi, ie some of the coffee shops etc?😂 Stay safe and keep up the good work.👍👍

Those Land trailers outside the Dubbo depot gate were there the last time you were there abandoned part of the Scott refrigeration group?
Land is a Queensland outfit and there has been no hint of them being in any financial trouble. They do a lot of freight from Qld to Perth.
No,… they’ve probably been loaded and gone,… and now they’re back ready for another load,… it’s always busy in there

I sure dont miss the long hours yes its good pay at the end of each week but you have done over two weeks of a normal job . still miss the trucks.
You done twice the work of the Government desk jockey's sitting there in Coffs Harbour watching your logbooks this week Ken
coffee tastes just as good without sugar if you wean yourself off it!
It's probably better to lose the sugar as much as possible than it is to cut out coffee completely.
No it doesn’t hahaha
Wow, I didn't know your work times and rest breaks were so finely controlled.
Pretty much,… express freight is always tight
Be interesting to know how much it’s costing in fuel
$2 - $2.30 per L of diesel, i am guessing 400L tanks.. so a lot haha

Sunday night till 11.30pm,… just 24 hours
83 hours!!! Tell that to a government worker... they would faint.
Ken. I wish to asks what that square box thing on the fuel nozzel when u fuel up at yr depots? I'm thinking it a safety or ant-fuel theft device?
It’s a electronic reader,… each truck has a code so the company knows who’s putting in how much fuel and where

Average speed cameras.

Thanks!
Do the washing and ring up your bicyle and enjoy a little huff and puff ,old boy .
Hi Ken, are you allocated your own prime mover,or do you swap trucks?.
Great video btw!!
He has said previously that he keeps the same truck .
Same truck mate.
No,… keep the same truck all the time 1715
You can still have coffee, just not coffee milk........lol
Ken, is it a paer based log book or electronic ?
Still using the paper book
How many hours a day is the maximum hours a truck driver can drive per day?
12 hours on standard,… 14 hours on basic fatigue management
How many hours a day/night do you drive?? You must have bfm or afm
He has said previously BFM.
BFM,… can drive 14 in 24
Does the allocator keep in close contact with you ?
Not really,… I get my paper work from him and I don’t hear from him after that lol
