    Thank you for this. I manage around 20 Google business pages for clients based in Ireland. I love the way you focus on the GBP optimisation. May I ask you a question.. how significant/important are website backlinks and citations to influence ranking at top of 3 pack / maps listing. Many thanks in advance 🙏🎉

      @egdowney1 Backlinks are definitely important. As with most things, it's way more about quality than quantity these days. Specifically for Google Business Profile rankings, focus on links from high authority local websites and high authority industry specific websites that relate to the business categories set for the profile. This will give you the biggest benefit.
      I'd advise you to make a list of local/industry websites and check the domain authority of them on this free tool: ahrefs.com/website-authority-checker. It's not an absolute science, but if the domain authority is above 50, it's worth getting a backlink, if you can.
      Plus you can use this tool to check your website's own domain authority as you build it. Then you can compare it to your competitors domain authority, because all you need to do is beat your competitors.

    Why didn’t you search grass seeding in the location you wanted rather than a generic gardener search in Leeds?

      @simonkensington-fellows6142 That's a good question.
      The main reason is that there isn't a business category for grass seeding, so even if I had done a search for that, there might not be anything in the initial view of profiles thay would tell the person if the business provides that service. You'd still need to drill deeper into the profile to find out.
      I acknowledge that Google may have triggered a justification to show that the business does provide the service (that's the whole reason for justifications).
      But, this is why I included the part around what I showed being an example. Different people will approach this in a different way and look for different information in a different order.
      The key point is that there are some specific questions you need to answer if you want to get the enquiry.
