Canary Wharf, if truly booming, will speed up the gentrification of the surrounding areas... then there'll be better education and more local workers, because all the old locals will have been priced out!
If one person of an ethic minority, from a non privileged background can make it in CW, then nobody can say its inaccessible! He made his choices to study and work hard, whilst many of his peers smoked weed and expected riches to fall from the sky. Martin
One only has to look at the difference in pay from those at the top or very top compared to those at the bottom to realise it a "broken dream" for many. The idea that wealth trickles down and around is not seen by nearly all those whom have Canary Wharf in their "sights". Too much greed, looking after "Number 1" and inequality going on here. The gap in living standards, education, health etc between those who are doing well and those who are not is still getting wider.
Basically the locals don't have the skills to be investment bankers? How insightful!
if only the entire isle of dogs was built like canary wharf, we'd have a mini manhatten!
Steve McMillen It will be . They’re currently doing it. There are 3 new schools on the island named Canary Wharf College.

Pearla Moon no, thats not how it works.
Managing rich people’s accounts and debts shouldnt be something Young People aspire to!
Why not? It makes a lot of cash
