It is so hard to find musicians that can really lay down a whole perfect universe for a singer, but Madeleine does a wonderful job of assembling the right talent around her.
Madeleine's voice is tender like Norah Jones', but somehow there's something about Madeleine reminds me on Billie. BTW, I love it when Madeleine did a cover on Leonard Cohen's Dance Me to The End Of Love. The cover is sooo smooth and sweet. I say, it's so Madeleine.

Wow, People really need to get a grip. I doubt that Madeleine Peyroux is trying to *be* Billie Holiday or sound just like her. Billie Holiday is one of her influences so it's natural to hear that sound in her music and voice.
I swear. Billie's been reborn for those who weren't alive in her time. And she's been reborn through the voice of this woman. Beautiful.
