We really enjoyed your video. Returning to Japan is definitely on our hope to do someday list. Just looking through the guidebook I bought, I always wondered if going to the Japan Alps around Takayama/Matsumoto area would be feasible. It is described in a way that sounds really gorgeous and we love walking in the mountains. My concern would be how to get there and if English speakers could function. Also wondered if it would be something to combine with Kanazawa.

Hi Kevin. Really glad to hear that you enjoyed the video and good to hear that it makes you want to get back out there.
We would recommend a trip into the Japanese Alps. InsideJapan can tailor a trip to suit budget and interests, sorts out all logistics and gives you an Info Pack with all the essentials in English and Japanese. We help people get beneath the surface of the Alps, the far northern Hokkaido, all the way over to Shikoku and south to Kyushu and Okinawa.
You might like to have a look at this self guided trip to give you a few ideas for travelling into the central alps region.

      Hope it helps?

This was the was the first tour I started watching and may be the last I only got 15 mins in,Im sorry it was dull facts were intresting but the way is was put across was not!
I remember the tour guides being excited about everything when I traveled. I do understand the tour leaders maybe stuck in Japan atm the the Magic may be wearing a little thin.
That being said I would return to Japan at the drop of a hat If I could and Kamakura would be on the list of places to re-visit.
Also interaction in the chat would go a long way if you going to have a Premier it is good the have members to the team to chat with the people watching otherwise you might as well just drop a video and not a Premier

Hi there, thanks for the comments. Always good to receive feedback from both ends of the spectrum. We shall certainly take the comments into account. The Premier went live for the US version of the tour and not for the UK - apologies for that. Thankfully we have had many other people say good things about the tour and about our Insiders. I certainly loved this tour as it was different to all the other tours we have done in both style and content. As far as I could tell, the Insiders love being in Japan as that is their adopted home and there is no particular desire to get out. I don't think anyone can really question the enthusiasm of any of our Insider tour leaders really...this is certainly a first. And the rest of us that are not in Japan right now, we cannot wait to go back and we look forward to real travel again soon. Thanks again.
