Good to see our Godfather of Sim Nation, Da_Czar himself! Always love seeing you giving love to the community. I also love to play with these little in-between animations. I've been busy mastering my main man D-Fox's strong hand crossover + animation cancelling into a jump shot. Love playing like Fox irl!
thank you for this video, super informative. I've been using a post scorer for the last 4-5 2Ks, gonna hop in the gatorade facility and try to apply some of these timing and animation tips out of the post. always working on the stick skill, its super satisfying to work out of the post. i don't see too many bigs use it online as it was intended. just dropsteps and the occasional spin. maybe a hook. maybe bigs are sleeping on the shot boost you get when using post fakes and shimmy fades/hooks with dream shake. not to mention the fix to up and under. once you establish that you can hit the fade or post hop, everyone jumps or the help defender reaches. you can time that and get an easy assist or get to the free throw line with the up and under animations (from the big jumping or guard reaching one pass away). an easy 6-8 points each rec game from the free throws or and-1s once you get nice. very impressive post engine once you actually learn the mechanics. i need to add the post pivots and fakes off the catch to my game. usually randoms will call timeout if you hold onto the ball too long in the post without trying tp score so its hard to practice in game. been trying it in offline modes though and the pro play animations are insane this year
It's not that bigs are sleeping on it, it's that being Hakeem the dream in the post is inefficient. Post spins, drop steps, and hooks is all you see because that's the best ways to score. Anything else is high risk low reward.
@@TheAliali375 I disagree that it’s inefficient. Maybe in the wrong hands it’s inefficient. But if you know what you’re doing you can be very effective. For example, in the theatre with randoms, I average 8 & 4 on 70% shooting on post moves mainly. In no squad rec I average 15-10-5 on 70% shooting. It’s definitely possible it just takes time to learn the mechanics and ppl don’t want to do that (ie sleeping on it). Plus, a lot of bigs don’t know how to guard that stuff because they never see it so it’s an advantage at times
I actually use the hesitation to setup a lot of moves I do it’s really dependents on the hesitation you use for your style of dribbling I’m not a dribble god that just hit ya with a multitude of dribble moves but I use them as I would in real life situations so I use dribbles to get to my spot or set up a shot for a teammate or myself depending on the situation
@Da_Czar do you think you guys will ever put an AI defender in freestyle mode? It would be nice to be able to practice against a defender.
I've been asking for this for a while now. A few years to be exact 😂
Nah too much work
I use the blacktop to play 1v1 with my myplayer to practice
@@raashon1 I use to do that too. But the probably is the sliders for that mode are acrcady
2ku mode needs some adjustments as well. Would be nice to be able to practice your plays vs cpu ..custom playbooks would also be nice
I appreciate you taking the time out of your schedule to post these. MUCH APPRECIATED
Great job, Czar! Proud of you and the work the team is doing!
Good video, these are the tutorials we need in when we first pick up 2k, never knew about tapping turbo. This is very educational Nino!!!

Good tips ! Can you do some on how to do spin jumpers, And fades ?
Thanks for the video Czar. its very helpful.
Good vid! I would recommend 60 fps for all modes on 2k25.
Great content. Authentic basketball moves. That’s the only way to play the game. Otherwise play Tetris.
Wuuuuzzz happening family!! 🔥💯🫡
Long time viewers are proud of you Czar for figuring out how to work the replay camera 😂
#PersonalGrowth
I wish they had someone in the Gatorade court to throw the ball back to you or the Dr dish like they had in the my courts of the older 2ks
