  • When exploring the Boundary Waters, you’re bound to make a mistake or two.
Tiger Beaudoin knows this first hand. He’s guided first-timers, grandparents, parents with children, and paddled solo across our favorite wilderness for years. He’s also made more than a few mistakes.
In this fast-paced presentation, Tiger describes 10 lessons learned “the hard way” while paddling hundreds of miles and portaging thousands of rods in the BWCA and Quetico. Using these packing, equipment, camping, and fishing tricks, you’ll enjoy a safer, more worry-free experience in the BWCA.
BONUS: Check out Tiger’s ultimate BWCA checklist, and a copy of his presentation (tinyurl.com/po...) with shocking videos and product links.

Even for a 20 year veteran, there are things I’ve learned by watching this. Great video.

So many great ideas. Really enjoyed the talk. Here's another tip that I picked up from my mother. It was a hot trip to Algonquin and mom wanted some cold water so she tied a water bottle to a stone and submerged it deep. Much colder down there. It worked!

I was a trail guide for two summers up there, and having to go through training taught us to avoid all these simple mistakes. Can definitely see myself doing some of these without it.

I would recommend an addition to the fishing tackle dozen quarter ounce jig heads and two dozen twister tail grubs

Are these presentations put on the website along with a transcript? They all would make a great educational archive page.
