I live in SD too and this layout of an apartment with the lighting and open space concept is such a rarity. Girl you got a steal!! The apartment itself has very modern installations too, making it easier to decorate around. The color palette you chose is on point.

I got that humongous fan! I bought one just like it a couple of years ago when I was admiring yours. Urban Outfitters had it but I bought mine from EBay- I paid a little less for it. I have it as a headboard (on my wall) behind my bed.

Sugestión for xmas tree: move the bench closer to the door and the cactus can go beside the new chair. You can then put your tree in that corner so it can be seen from outside too.

Your apartment is larger than my HOUSE...my home is 561 sq.ft./ 2 bedroom/1 bath. My kitchen is way too small for any type of dining table, so I have my Counter-height dining table and four chairs in my living room....in front of the window! Love the plants! unfortunately, I have to use artificial flowers and plants.
But, I enjoy taking design inspiration from Apartments and small home dwellers.....I'm never disappointed!
