I can't take Maya seriously at all if she's that desperate for Darren to be dead do it herself or hire someone else bc Ethan won't. The story is going nowhere what exactly did they steal or was it a botched robbery.They don't seem to be smart criminals.Darren should take his chances with the police.
Darren convinces Maya if she kills him the police will eventually come after her for murder which is a lot worse and that is the end of it for now. I think the way it is playing out is just so they can keep these new characters in the soap. It really is quite lame though and just another excuse to have Nancy annoyed with Darren and him grovelling for her forgiveness for the millionth time 🙄.
Criminal masterminds or criminal bosses rarely get their hands dirty. They get their lieutenants to do the dirty work like this boy here to get that sort of stuff done on their behalf. That sort of relationship when your girl is pressuring you to get someone murdered in brutal fashion is not a relationship. This boy needs to wake up before it's too late.
The story is really not well-written and the acting seems like they're really trying to make it believable. The kidnapper Ethan guy seems genuine though and the actor is doing a good job going back and forth between his hesitation and guilt.

I've seen all of the festive episodes and must say I was quite disappointed. Maybe it is because of the pandemic but expected something a bit more exciting than what we actually got. These storylines could have easily happened at any time of the year and you'd think there'd be a build up to something big happening at Christmas but not this year. Gone are the days when Hollyoaks would give the audience big, exciting storylines at Halloween and Christmas.
i said before the storylines recently have been not that great. and adding new people because they are getting rid of some of the old cast. and now in January there is gonna be a fire at marnie's cafe and some people are going to die. thats one way of getting rid of cast members. the show has a new producer who wants to change everything. the show is not the same anymore it used to be exciting and the storylines were great.

Kidnapping and the threat of death are clearly still not enough for Nancy who seems to never trust him any more. Darren doesn't seem half as traumatised as anyone in real life would be if they'd gone through the same ordeal. He's just in his usual grovelling to 'she who must be obeyed' mode he is permanently in. Really lame storyline.
Nancy at times can be so pig headed, ignorant and insensitive at times. What Darren is trying to explain to her isn't a joke and it's completely serious. Hopefully Jack can explain to Nancy what's going on with Darren.
