Ive had the same problem, changed egs plate and solenoids but same problem... The REAL reason was unbelievable, it was the rear abs sensor with the ring who was faulty! There was no error in dsc ecu about the faulty sensor but it randomly put out the gear at about 50-60kmh, i changed it and now everything works like charm again👍 check your wheel speed sensors before doing anything costly😉
i actually had this happen while driving on the highway. my ABS was defective suddenly that day, same with ESP. and then this just happened while driving.
Hello i have the same problem on my clk 240 2003, but rarely happens to me but the question is can you switch from mercedes only to sensors? And where did you fix your cars? And what did it cost to fix the error? The gearbox can not be broken otherwise it would not change as it does! And are you sure that it's only sensors for the gearbox? Can I get more info is really need help? And my engine light starts to light up yesterday? Happened it is also? thanks for the reply
@@vkTR777 It's a problem for any engine. The thing is how long do you keep it reved. A quick rev like this won't do much, especially since the engine isn't really stone cold or long enough to overheat the pistons inside the cold sleeve, but you should always limit your rpms to 2000 at least until the water is at temperature.
Hello there, i got the same problem at the moment... i think to go to gearbox specialist, is that coming from gearbox sensors? And do u know how much gonna cost? Cheers. The car is in UK
You need new transmission oil! The toqrue Converter isn't sending power properly to the transmission. This is caused by a low fluid pressure caused by burned transmission oil or a low transmission fluid supply
sensors of the brain of the gearbox. that's the problem. I have the same problem on my Mercedes. And I took it in a service, where they change only the sensors of the gearbox (they was 3 sensors giving a mistake and pot the car in a save mode, so it can protect the gearbox from breaking) ,the car now is perfeeeect :)

@@sultanalsalam the diagnosis was the transmission sensors. The transmission takes sensors, and the problem is with those sensors. I will take the car to the garage next week to repair it, I hope it will be resolved. But they will have to remove the transmission to see if there is another problem more serious.
Mine did this too. It's really weird. Let it sit don't do anything mine randomly did this then stopped and haven't in a while. You have a leak under the transmission. In the valve body
It's most likely a sensor. Put it on a tester to get the error code, or if there isn't any, go to a specialist that's specialized in Merc. Forget the dealership, they'll "fix" 5 other things you don't need changing because they'll guess around and suck you dry of money.
I've bought a used 2016 CLS with 160,000km and a 7G tronic gear box. I am not sure if the previous owner has ever changed the transmission fluid or not. My questions: *Do you recommend changing transmission fluid now? *If yes, what will be the safest way to do that in order to avoid any negative impact
Dumb statement. It's like having a manual gearbox fail and say "this is why I prefer automatic". Funny thing is, these 5 and 7g tronics from mercedes with just simple oil changes as maintenance last half a million miles or more with NOTHING else done to them. Lets see how long a manual clutch, bearings and other components last in a manual transmission. Not 500k, that's for sure, not even half that.
I think that transmission has not enough fluid because the pressure of oil can is effective due to hydraulic pump

Really ?
i actually had this happen while driving on the highway. my ABS was defective suddenly that day, same with ESP. and then this just happened while driving.
The problem is the conductor plate located within the valve body

REPLACED THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION and it works perfect now
how much €?
teka 900$ for the full transmission assembly and I installed it myself or else it would be another 1000$
did you ever find out what was wrong with it? Please reply, I have the exact same issue and have no idea what to fix??? Thank you in advance!!!
Probably the speed sensors inside the gearbox. The gearbox can't change speeds without the in/ out speed feedback. Limp mode on
How do you change those? is it in the valve body?
@@Peter-wo4uo yep its a plastic part with electronics tightened in the valve body
Was it the torque converter?
The stator in the in the torque converter is bad it's not locking so you're not getting torque multiplication
Did you fix it? What was it?
If you rev your cold Diesel to the max, you will need more than a transmission flush 🙄
For Mercedes engine is that not a problem
@@vkTR777 lol yes it is

Tork converter its dead
TRANSMISSION FLUID!!

As rpm limiter 4750 cdi

what was the problem?

Jermaine23 channel hi do you found a fix for your 350? I have the same problem and when downshift some times it’s not smooth like before
Frictions are gone. Need to rebuild
There is no friction in torq convertor gearbox
do a gearbox reset look it up. takes 5mins.
Oh oh . Did you get it diagnosed? I had to replace entire gearbox on my cls63 2007 with same kind of thing
Rob Prince maybe a good Wash of the transmission, the same problem With BMW 320 risolved With it...
You replaced your gearbox instead of a few sensors that create this issue? You were robbed bro...
Mine is in the same situacion. Mercedes w211 E 220 CDI 5 speed automatic transmission
I have the same problem E500 w211, what did u do ?

Did no one notice he didn't shift the car in the manual mode
Yess
This is why I prefer manual
