Really appreciate your content man, started watching you when I was in middle school with the Minecraft let’s play and now I’m about to graduate college.
My favourite sector and theme in the game; as I've said, it perfectly captures the feel of an unsettling abyss in the deep ocean, not knowing what horrors are lurking in the pitch-black waves. On top of that, Serris is a fantastic boss fight. The soundtrack and overall atmosphere definitely make up for the lack of open exploration compared to Super.

I think it’s really interesting how some of the enemies mutate after an X parasite joins it (or, well, another X parasite)
@@nessie-from-earthbound1601 X parasites do absorb the genetic code and sometimes even the intelligence of a being after the infection is complete so it does make sense that multiple X would have genetic code from many species or even just individual creatures that could be combined with each other to create something stronger or entirely new. Honestly both the X and Metroids are such interesting creatures

Those not-Sidehoppers that shoot spikes don’t count? How about the X parasite versions of the Maridia burrowers that no longer burrow or those balloon type enemies also from Maridia?
