This is a bench-top description of how the Figure 8 device functions.
Stronger than Synthes PEEK Closure with lower profile.
Can go through the Manubrium and Xyphoid easily.
Able to form strong constructs such as; double X, H, and weave.
Cheap as standard wire - can replace primary wire closure on all sternotomies.
No other closure method needed (such as plates or wires).
Ergonomic, simple tool that is familiar.
No measuring, no templates, no extra disection.
