Can’t go wrong with a 2 series. We have an LS MT125 we share among the extended family and you’d be amazed at how much a subcompact tractor can do with just a bucket. We use it for tree removal, mulch, gardening, etc etc. easily used a 4ft brush hog or landscape rake as well. I’m a JD fan myself and can’t deny the value of a strong dealer network!
I have the same RHINO rope. Makes sure to purchase the soft shackles for the rope. This will keep you employees safe. NEVER, NEVER hook to the ball…..connect to the receiver.
I don’t bid on national service provider requests anymore. Hard to make any money on them and they seem to go out for bid every year. It’s like a race to the bottom.
Working for thr County road dept we use Bubba ropes. Same idea, different brand. I could put you in touch with our vendor, probably get a bit better price if you wanted more. We learned they can only used a couple times before the stretchy is gone.
Yes, we are going to get snow on Christmas and Christmas Day. Appearing Bismarck, North Dakota talk, and 6 inches. Have we been pretty dry lately? We've been having storms that have been like, 2 to 3 inches. At first one I was about 8inch
Brian no snow yet I agree it’s insane. The weather is definitely changing and the Snow Plowing game is changing. It’s very tough no money out here for plowing in the fourth quarter you have to adapt have to save your money during the season. Be very frugal because of these winters that we have been having.
If youre seriously considering a bobcat tractor would just look for a kioti. The bobcat product is a private label kioti and all the parts run through kioti. Bobcat private labeled kioti tractors once before and bailed on the venture. There were numerous parts issues. Kioti in itself doesnt really have its act together so you can imagine that the private labeler of a product with mediocre support is going to only be able to offer even worse support.
Regarding mulch installation, I wonder if you couldn't reverse engineer your leaf vacuum to vacuum and blow mulch into your beds. It would take a bit of hose, but I've seen it done. Just a thought.
Great Vid - Done the cold weather rv thing during hunting…. How are you dealing with the cold with the rv full time? Close off the bottom? Temp carpet for the feet? Pouring the propane to it?😂
@@BriansLawnMaintenance yes, I have a 4 ft brush hog with it. Can probably run a bigger one if needed. Does an excellent job. In my experience, a 32hp would be perfect size for just about everything you’ll need to do. That gives you the upgraded heavier duty front loader and wider bucket I believe. Here in Ohio JD Ag Pros are everywhere so it was an easy decision for me
I’d like to get your thoughts as to why a small sized tractor vs getting the equivalent size if not a bit bigger skid steer. I know price difference is a big factor like you mentioned and application to but skid steer is a huge game changer. Even mt100 (best mini in the market) could totally up the business productivity or a t450.
Because if mulch is their primary use a compact tractor with turf tires is much less damaging to lawns than a mini skid steer. If they were doing more heavy landscaping or hardscaping then maybe a skid would be better. But most people don’t want their yard torn up just to have mulch installed.
Hey Bri, quick question, I noticed or it appears that you have not counter weight in the back bed of your truck, do you not use/need counter weights as I would imagine that plow is super heavy. I need it here in MASS as I have a few driveways that are sloped downward and I've have gotten stuck at times so the counter weight helps me. Maybe you don't need it but I would love someone (you 😁) to make a video on this subject matter....and Merry Christmas/Happy New Year, so excited for all that you guys got going on, God bless!
I’d buy a used skid at an auction vs a tractor. Way more versatile. Tractors are a waste of money Don’t do work with national snow and landscaping brokers. They suuuuck. Their model is they make 30 percent profit and any way they can screw you out of money is more profit. So they make a bunch of different hoops to jump through or the worst ones just give you the run around and don’t pay you As someone else said you are leaving a ton of money on the table not doing salt. It’s the most profitable part of snow by far. Get the skid from above to load bulk salt and then you have a skid to do snow on a site as well. Salt is the reason to do snow.
Ya idk what others people experience has been with the post office but when I did snow plowing I was contacted about taking it on but the rate was really low like a 30% lower than what I think it should be. I also had the same experience with carvana there management company has a monthly limit for plowing and salting and it’s really low and they want to move all the cars out of there spots and then have u plow the spot
Before we had a quality bookkeeper and CPA, we typically kept 20% aside. These days, we run our reporting, projects, and budgets almost by the week, but definitely month to month. That way we can make intelligent decisions financially for the company. Thats been a huge win for us the last 4-5 years, we owe a lot of that to really learning how to run a small business.
I've found that if I get the plow outta storage to early it barely snows for the year 😂 if you leave it buried it will always catch you off guard and I. A rush. The snow god is funny like that😂 have a merry Christmas and happy new year
Stop subcontracting your salt. You are missing out on a lot revenue. Sub your snow removal if your going to sub anything. Reach out to me if you want to or have questions.
Why? I think you have to understand why we do before you make blanket statements. Its not always about the money or revenue, so your comment, although well intending, has an extremely narrow view on our business model ❤️
There's no money subbing it out. ESPECIALLY w/ a properly INSURED contractor. couldn't turn the damn ignition key fer less than $225hr 3:45 8'erw/ bulk spreader
Thankfully Mike had me covered. It wasn’t strictly about dollars and sense here. Just getting the client coverage and yes, making a little money on it to just cover expenses.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance why do you think Badell likes to salt. When I was in my 20's I thought all the money was in snow. Its not, in fact the over head can out way the service. Salt is less labor and over head. It doesn't snow like it used to. More service equals more money and etc. Believe me that was far from blanket. I won't degrade your business online. But as someone who went from cutting grass when I was 20 to now 38 and have multiple revenues base around my core maintenance I know a little bit about this business, regardless of how narrow you think my view is. The best companies are not posting picture and video. Those people share a few secrets with whom they want to see succeed.

I have the 2025r and that sh*t slaps, as the kids say. I’ve moved dirt, mulch, stone and snow. Great machine.
Any bush hogging by chance? I think we could do quite a bit of that at a great ticket.

What kind of layout do you have to turn the trailers around at your home shop?
Not much snow in Ontario, snowed 4 times but melted a day or two later each time. Had to rush clearing the driveways before snow melted😂
Yeah not much happening here either

I run 2, Yanmar 359's. Great warranty, great units
Thats awesome. Heard good things about the Yanmars
Oh yeah, Yanmar makes the majority of the motors for John Deere up to about 115 HP, they also just bought out ASV.
Great video, merry Christmas to you and the family!
Happy holidays!
No snow in Iowa. Hope the white gold comes in January.
Woahhh, is that a br800c in the bed of your truck?👀. I still do not understand why people have a hard time using the side start.
Can't wait to see the levrack. Thinking about getting that for my garage build
No snow in Wisconsin
Not work related, but are those cars seats in back? They look like they're mounted sideways
I think the Nuna? Yeah they’re amazing!

Hoping to reinvest into an 18-20’ enclosed. Still debating that conversation 😀
not good to leave the plow up all the time on your truck
Definitely a work truck, that poor thing is a hot mess 😂
2 car seats and an abomination of crushed kids snacks on the floor 😂😂😭😭😭
You refused to create a bulletproof contract with ½down and 2 draws so you got em by the balls 1:16
Why not just family farm and home they have ok bigger mowers
Brian im telling you before you buy do your research and binge tractor time with Tim.
