    Works like a charm.
    Also, your files must be mp3 in order for this to work, no m4a, no wav files, mp3 only.
    Use VLC Media Player to convert your files to mp3.

    It's been few years I am into mixing music and I do have some quiet tracks in my collection. I know trim on my mixer can solve this but if this propgram adjusts volume of each track without losing its quality I am very keen to try it out :) Not sure about 89db so I will need to do some testing :) Obviuosly I don't want my music to clip but I don't like it quiet either :D Thanks for this video. It's so simple to use it.

    • @whiplite
      @whiplite  5 місяців тому +1

      It's SO simple! I find most of my MP3s are more around the 97 dB mark. 89 is quite appropriate, which is why I think it's the default setting! Try it out and let me know how what you think!

    • @krzysztofjanota5650
      @krzysztofjanota5650 4 місяці тому

      @@whiplite finally had some time and did some little testing and I am confused about db level. Most of my tracks are 98db. According to mp3gain it will be clipping. They are not clipping at all. When I changed few of them to 89db as mp3gain recommends, they were so quiet. Way too quiet. Thinking to set all my collection to 92-93db.

    • @whiplite
      @whiplite  Місяць тому

      @troymitchell1931 it won't work if your mp3 files are in a location that the program doesn't have admin access too, like a "User" account.
      Try putting all your music files in an external hard drive or USB stick, or just in a folder on your C drive, not in a user account. I hope that helps!

    isn't that tool not just normalizing the files? or does it apply a compressor/limiter?

    • @whiplite
      @whiplite  5 місяців тому

      It normalizes audio track volumes and is reversible and there is no loss in quality.
      It does not use the tracks "peak amplitude" like most normalizes, instead it uses statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear.
      In short... I use it, it works lol

    The question is how much dB can be raised so as not to make it worse. I have MP3 players with 100dB and 92dB, what will be the optimal solution for those who have 92 dB?

    • @whiplite
      @whiplite  Місяць тому

      I believe I have my program set to 89db and the level seems fine

    • @GrzegorzK87
      @GrzegorzK87 Місяць тому +1

      @@whiplite Unfortunately, 89dB is too quiet. The creators of the program did not take this into account

    • @whiplite
      @whiplite  Місяць тому

      I think if you set 92db, you will be fine. I'm curious though, too quiet for what?
      What were effectively doing here is adjusting the actual volume of the song through gain. It's reversible and lossless.
      Set to 89db, I find all my tracks play optimally anywhere, whether I'm playing back on PC, in my vehicle, over loudspeakers or tiny PC speakers etc.
