Christmas for me hasn’t been the same since losing my parents. My mom absolutely loved Christmas, she used to sing Christmas songs all year round! This will be my second Christmas in a row where I’m staying home alone, but I’m good with that. ❤ I do love seeing how much joy the holidays bring others. I hope your Christmas cards make it in time! Also, love your cat shirt!!!
An academic way to describe the experience in Bath and Bod Works is 'embodied memory'. Our bodies remember experiencing places, so sights, smells, textures, and even general ambiance can create that comforting or unsettling memory sensation.
Your videos have become a part of my Sunday morning ritual. It is so nice to see a glimpse into Korean culture and a normal married couple’s life. Your videos are calming and help me realize I don’t need to spend $ all the time to be happy ❤. Happy holidays 🎄🎉
In 8 years of watching you guys, I never watched so early! Thank you for beautiful video, I'm making my room christmasy this evening if my migraine won't destroy me completely😊
I agree, I love my candle lamp! Thank you for taking us on your shopping trip. I’ll visit S Korea in the spring to see the cherry blossoms & look forward to visiting the stores. I’ll have to plan a winter trip to enjoy the Christmas season. ❤🎄
I love your apartment, even when it isn’t Christmas time. It’s so cozy. I thought you would buy one of those cat advent calendars. They are darling and nostalgic looking. I miss Beemo.😢 I hope he sees all the pretty decorations. ❤
Tip if you ever burn candles - when you put it out smother the wick in the melted candle then pull it out and you will not get a burn smell but I'm check out the candle warmers. Home looks lovely.
Even though I'm not remotely religious, getting into the holiday spirit is a necessary part of my transition into the winter season. It does keep the blues at bay.
@veesimmons2464 As I'm of a different religious background, can with certainty tell you the ho,ho ho has little to nothing to do with religion and was Everywhere from my earliest memories. (psst! I also watch Christmas movies around now and they don't seem to have much to do with religion either. All makes sense to me, as the timing was appropriated, (along with decor, singing etc.) from winter solstice celebrations, marking the return of the sun after the shortest day of the year....call it what you wish. Happy Everthing!
You probably shouldn't be getting in the spirit then or having the holidays that come with Christmas. I think everyone who doesn't celebrate should really not be having the holidays like other religions for example, you don't have time of for their holidays.
Hi Sarah! Hi Kyuho! OMG! I would so go broke at that Christmas store at the mall! So stunning! I loved everything that you showed to us. I absolutely LOVE Bath and Body Works. I was there for Black Friday shopping after Thanksgiving. They were having a ‘buy three, get three’ on everything sale. Cyber Monday (today), has their large candles on sale for $12.95, instead of $29.95. I’m so happy that you guys have a store in Korea now. I love everything about your Christmas traditions that you’ve both started for yourselves. Watching you decorate your first apartment those many years ago-to now having so much more room, is so wonderful to see! You’ve collected so much throughout the years. I wanted to share with you…..My very best friend’s son is in the US Army from Southern California. He’s 20, and will be stationed at Osan AFB, in Korea, beginning early next year. We are super excited, as we have already talked about visiting Korea in 2026. 😊 Thanks for sharing your week and Christmas decorating with us. I, especially want to thank you for sharing your discount code for Rosetta Stone. I fully took advantage of it! ❤ Take care guys!
Soooo jealous you guys get the most amazing Black Friday sales in the U.S!! 🥲 We’re also so grateful every day that we live in our current home and it actually ‘feels’ like a home! Those 5+ years living in a one-room were pretty rough 😅 Oh wow, Osan! That’s not too far of a drive from Seoul, so it would be quite convenient to visit him there and explore the city 😁
Decorated about two weeks ago due to a friend who started decorating after Halloween. She told me it makes happy to see her Christmas decorations. It’s a cozy feeling. I have to agree
If you haven't already, try Eunpie if you want a nice New Zealand style Meat Pie in Seoul. Its run by two Korean sisters who lived in New Zealand. I tried it when I was in Seoul and I thought they were very nice. They have a number of places throughout Seoul. I hear the Sausage rolls are good two although they were sold own when I went.
Your home looks so amazingly cozy!! It makes me wanna decorate my house too. Thank you for sharing this with us. Hope you have a relaxing and blessed Christmas time. As someone with seasonal affect disorder too, I relate to your struggles Sarah! 😢 Lets all get through these months healthy ❤🎄
I only have a miniture tree on my kitchen counter each year, but enjoy decorating it with a collection of small baubles just the same. It was so cozy to wake up today on Dec 1st, switching on the tree lights and opening the advent calendar while my coffee was brewing. 😍
Such a cozy and refreshing vlog, and so well edited! Loved your outfit when you went to the mall, Sarah. Where are the earrings and coat from? Loved the decorating part, especially the little landscape beneath your TV. I only decorated for Advent today, specifically the Advent wreath. We celebrated today by lighting the first candle ✨
I finished decorating for the holidays yesterday! 🎄 I hate to tell you Sarah, but Canada Post workers are on strike (for the past 2 weeks as of December 1). If you sent your card via regular mail theres a good chance is held up somewhere. 😔 "I could eat this!" So true for B&BW! 😂
Sarah, if it's clean product & scent you're after, you can always buy a few pure essential oils and have a diffuser. Might talk to people in the "healing arts", such as massage therapists, etc. Also, there are light boards (of all sizes) one can order online that have a good effect for many people with seasonal affect dis. One sets it on a table or desk and from what I hear it helps quite a bit. ( I live at 7000 ft. altitude where sunny is the basic norm, so I've not tried it...New Mexico, southwest US) Well being you two
Sitting here in North Carolina enjoying a bowl of homemade venison stew watching yet another great video of your day in the life of. lol It's hard to believe another year has almost gone by. Another Sunday afternoon with you two and with a cozy relaxing video that has motivated me to finish putting up our tree. lol
Wow so Christmasy in Seoul. Canada Post is on Strike. It's been two weeks now. The Sweets and Treats looks so good. The cake looks so yummy. Niagara On The Lake near Niagara Falls Ontario has a Christmas Store that I love going to.
'Fresh Balsam' is my jam, too! Normally this time of year I have it burning (I am allergic to pine trees so I can't have a real tree) but a friend bought me the EU Wallflower plugs for my birthday so I can FINALLY use all the Wallflowers I've been collecting. My mom sent me 'Cozy Christmas PJs' and it's like a really sweet take on the pine notes in 'Fresh Balsam'--it's so nice! Your place looks so cozy now that it's decorated! I'm waiting to decorate because I'm getting a new tree this year, I want one with lights. This is the one holiday I go OTT with just because it makes me my home feel more like HOME home. I think part of it too is that I also struggle with SAD and having my place look like a Christmas explosion lightens my mood!
I remember the stores and malls decorated for Christmas, but I don't see that anymore. The store windows of the old department stores always had wonderful Christmas and winter scenery.
So is Christmas a national holiday/day off in South Korea like it is in the western world? How do Korean families celebrate Christmas? Gift exchange, special food? Heard about your record snow fall in Seoul. That will put you in the Christmas mood! I use candle lamps and wax melts all the time! Love your videos! From Indiana, USA.
Only things I have done Xmas wise in our house is I put up baby Xmas trees for my kids room and made a Halloween Christmas town! Gonna be putting up the rest of the stuff throughout the week :D
Yesssss! Lights up, tree is up, interior decorations up. Have some minor things to finish up, after the house receives a deep cleaning tomorrow. We recently completed an interior remodel, so the last of the dust and debris, will be cleaned out tomorrow.
Not yet, but it’s time to do so. Traditionally in Sweden people put up Advent lights on the 1st of December, and then decorate the tree and the rest of the house a few days before Christmas, but I think it’s changing now and people decorate earlier. Personally I need to decorate now or it won’t happen at all. 🙃 Then I take it down between Christmas and New Year. Anyway, take care guys! The apartment looks really cozy. 🎄❤️ 🎁
Not yet. We were just talking about when should we decorate the house. Love the unboxing. Our collection of Hallmark ornaments goes back 25+ years. It’s crazy 😊 We kicked off the Holiday season by watching Wicked. If it’s released in Seoul, you have to see it! It’s sooooo good 👍🏼 Happy Holidays 🎄
It's so unreal to see a B&BW in Korea! Tis the Season is my favorite of their Christmas scents! It's so interesting to see the Vanilla Balsam, because I don't think I've seen that here in the states.
Your appartment looks so cozy🤩 And I really like those scented candle store. Unfortunately there is no such store in Switzerland. I wish you a very good Christmas-time
Loved watching your vlogs …. Always sweet with each other … love your cozy Christmas decors !!! Can I asked where did you purchase the plaid Christmas pillowcases??? Wishing you both a merry and blessed Christmas and extended families 🥰🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Your Place looks so cozy & inviting! I love your Tree, especially those twinkling lights. The decorations they sell in the Stores there look amazing! We love smelling all the candles & scents here in Florida at our Bath & Body Works store at Christmas! All those Baked Goods in your stores look so divine. I'd have a hard time choosing! 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing about the candle warmer lamp!!! I have never heard of this. I live in a vintage apartment building and feel nervous about having a burning candle. Now I know what I’m going to ask Santa to bring me :)
We decorate our home on the 8th of December because that's the date we do it in latam 😊 But this year we decorated it today and the Christmas tree will be put on the 8th lol It looks so cozy, I love your little Christmas town! I was thinking about how beemo spot under the tree ❤ when my childhood dog passed away I made a little tree ornament for him because he loved Christmas time= waiting for an ornament to fall so he would just play with it LOL
🎉Thank you. Nice video. They told me the 3 wick cocoa scented candle (for a friend) was most popular, so I bought a snowman holder for it, to use all winter. Peppermint is my favorite. In a little diffuser. I take a lot of D3. Good to check vit D level b. Test. We had a kitty. 19 yrs.
Ohhh we’ve been taking vitamin d consistently for years (we amp up the dosage during the winter months), it’s so important 🌞 So glad you got to enjoy 19 years with your kitty ❤️
Omg, Bath and Body works had Black Friday sales and I ordered 15 hand-soaps. Not a big deal, but I had just bought 15 others in early fall, plus I already had a stockpile. I think I’m good for the next 3 years!
Nope, but my backyard is full of Christmas trees covered in snow😂😂😂And the trunks are covered by at least 10 cm. I call it a winter nightmARE.😂😂 Luv the red cardinal salt and pepper shakers. Hope you are ok. I know it must be hard that Beemo is not there. 😢I miss my Cleo right now. My youngest says it will be hard to come home from Uni and not see her waiting for her.😢
I was watching a food vlogger in Seoul, Korea, who said it would be better for travelers to go to department stores for food as opposed to buying street foods. The same stuff is available and is likely better quality.
Yes, 100% agree! It’s MUCH better quality, the oil is clean, and most importantly, it’s generally far more sanitary, since department stores are very strict when it comes to that. We’ve had one too many experiences with outdoor street vendor food that just totally turned us off 🙃
Hi Sarah! How about a decluttering video in preparation for 2025? Also it’ll help with the movement or exercise during winter. Just a suggestion! Thanks.
We actually already did a MASSIVE declutter of our home (clothes, cosmetics, shoes, junk drawers, old medicine etc.) a few weeks ago, so there’s nothing left to show, unfortunately 😅
I love to listen/watch you vlog whiile I'm doing my illustration, the vibe is so good. Nothing change much in Halifax other than.. loads more cars on the road and apartment growing everywhere. We had a good frost this morning. I also heard of snow in some part of Korea? My tree is half decorated because.. my cat is playing with the ornaments haha!
We just started decorating the outside of our house on 11/30. We have yet to decorate the inside. Also, my husband wants to get a real Xmas tree and we need to shop for one. Our son is so excited for all of the lights and he picked out a blow up shark with a Santa hat to display outside of the house. He loves baby shark and anything shark related.
I would definitely over eat in that food court! We’d buy bags of goodies. Yum. Bath and body works always gets me. Gotta go there this week. 🇺🇸🏳️🌈Texas
I like how the Korean malls and underground mall and have Christmas decor vendors/shops selling mainly Christmas themed items. In Canada, a section or a corner of a store (e.g. Walmart, Superstore, Canadian Tire, etc) has Christmas decorations (I was a at Canadian tire recently looking at the Christmas stuff and I noticed the decorations, ornaments and stuff were from last year). I had thought about sending Christmas cards to my relatives in Poland, but then I had remembered there’s a Canada Post mail strike going on. How would you compare the price of Bath and Body Works in Korea vs Canada? The desserts/baked goods in that shopping mall look really good!
Hi,I’m from Vancouver Sarah unfortunately if you haven’t heard, as of now Canada Post is still on strike and it seems it’s not going to get resolved soon. It’s a bummer. Our Christmas shopping is put on hold too! Anyways Happy Holidays to you and Kyuho and family.
We started to decorate a bit but haven’t put up our Christmas tree yet. Now I’m debating whether to get a real tree this year so I can get that Christmas smell 🤔
Have you two ever been to the Bank of Korea Money Museum I noticed it on Google maps when I was looking at the location of this department store. The museum looks kind of interesting.
I also wonder in South Korea is Christmas celebrated more as a holiday for families and friends whereas Japan celebrates Christmas as a time for couples to be together and celebrate Christmas. Side note all the food looks good and I just ate too 😂
I wish Bath and Bodyworks weren't so popular. I have to hold my breathe when walking through the mall or else I end up with a severe migraine and unable to breathe and bedbound if exposed too long. Everyone I know is obsessed with the candles, lotions and soaps so I can't go over to anyone's houses and being in public is a nightmare for me. I once had to go to the bank and the office of the person I was meeting with almost ended me. She had a huge bottle of Bath and Bodyworks lotion on her desk and she also smelled heavily frangranced. I saw people going with several huge bags from there on the weekend because of the Black Friday sale. Not a great place for people allergic or highly sensitive to scent. I love vintage style Christmas ornaments as well. I still have some from my childhood tree that my mother had given me for my first tree away from home. I don't really like modern decorations as much. Love your little tree and it having pinecones on it. I have pine cone ornaments I made as a child on mine, I like the look of them with the flocked snow. I love how you guys decorate for Christmas. I have a Christmas village I used to put up but it has become too much work for me over the last few years, been struggling with several chronic illnesses and can't do the decorating I used to do. I haven't put up my big tree in years. I have a smaller one that I leave up pretty much all winter long becasuse I find it helps with my SADD. I need all the warm, cozy lights in the darker months. Mine has been bad since the time change last month. Geting dark at 5pm is depressing. I find the mini Christmas lights help a lot with my mood. Hope your parents are able to get your card. Still no word on the strike ending that I saw. It has definitely thrown wrenches in Christmas plans for some, myself included. Love the Christmas in Korea content. Thank you.
Your Christmas videos are always so cozy and peaceful, and sets a wonderful mood leading into the holidays.
Thank you 🥺❤️ so glad you enjoy them!
Both of my parents are gone too, wishing you the best ❤
Aww, it's so lovely to see you decorating your apartment for Christmas again! You guys are so good at nailing the cozy Christmas vibes in your home.
Thank you 🥰 It was years of trial and error, but we really enjoy how it looks now ✨

Nooo, hope you’re feeling better! 😢
my heart ached suddenly when i watch you guys decorate the tree, cause I feel like Beemo would've been by the side watching from the sofa 🥲
We actually talked about that while decorating together. It really breaks our hearts not seeing him curled up under the tree.
@@2hearts1seoul sending love and hugs to you guys

We decorate our home on the 8th of December because that's the date we do it in latam 😊
But this year we decorated it today and the Christmas tree will be put on the 8th lol
It looks so cozy, I love your little Christmas town!
The Christmas decorations gave that UA-cam Lofi Girl vibe.
It's so interesting about smells! When Starbucks opened in my city, I felt like I was back in the USA!
Olfactory memories are so vivid!
🎄❤️love your Christmas decor!!!!
🥰🎄
Always so festive! I’ve been waiting 15 days so far for my husband to get our Christmas box down from the garage!
Omg, Bath and Body works had Black Friday sales and I ordered 15 hand-soaps. Not a big deal, but I had just bought 15 others in early fall, plus I already had a stockpile. I think I’m good for the next 3 years!
Hahaha smart to get them when they do their crazy sales!
Or until the next sale!!! The deals get me every time!!
@@bathandbodyworks Crossing our fingers that you’ll be opening more Seoul branches! 🤞🥹
We’ve had one too many experiences with outdoor street vendor food that just totally turned us off 🙃
Maybe to help you with the seasonal change dancing Lee should make an appearance 😅
it's crazy bc I feel it was a minute ago since I saw you hot hot in Tokyo and now Christmas....
Exactly!! We were baking in Tokyo just a couple of months ago 😅
⭐🌲☃️ Your home looks Lovely 😊
Everything smells good in B&BW. Sensory overload. My nose is wasted after 10 minutes. Love it tho. And I, too, have been tempted to eat the candles.
Oohhh, love that our vlogs are that sort of vibe for you ✍️ It recently snowed a lottt (for Seoul standards) here! ❄️
Was in Seoul last week and really made the effort to look for Scoff. Best brownie ever!
The absolute BEST 🤎
Nice xmas tree!
Thank you~! She’s the perfect size for our apartment 🥰🎄
Good looking pizza! But I love seeing your Korean food options as well.
Check out our previous video for homestyle Korean food ;)
Absolutely beautiful..so much better than Queensland's..♥️♥️♥️
I would definitely over eat in that food court! We’d buy bags of goodies. Yum. Bath and body works always gets me. Gotta go there this week. 🇺🇸🏳️🌈Texas
I’m sad they took away the New Zealand pies 🥧 as a now I know how much they taste so amazing ❤
🥺 well good thing for basic security. Sounds like an honest mistake, but yeah, I'd be freaked out too. You never know in today's world.
Wish you could help me decorate for Christmas 🙂❤
Bang bang!
I saw you guys near my home in 양재!
We started to decorate a bit but haven’t put up our Christmas tree yet. Now I’m debating whether to get a real tree this year so I can get that Christmas smell 🤔
Real trees just hit different 🥲🎄
In the part where you’re driving home (7:16) are you in a right hand drive car? It’s driving me crazy! Lol 🤗🇦🇺❤️🇰🇷
It’s the left side here like Canada & the U.S 😁
@ I understand - but for that moment in time he’s on the right hand side of the car - like in Australia. I must be losing it!
🎄🎄🎄
Have you two ever been to the Bank of Korea Money Museum I noticed it on Google maps when I was looking at the location of this department store. The museum looks kind of interesting.
It definitely looks festive already! Even more so with the weather. I honestly hate bath & body works! I can't stand the overpowering smell 😂
Amazing video, did the delicious bibimbap stand vanish? Maybe it moved upstairs?
I also wonder in South Korea is Christmas celebrated more as a holiday for families and friends whereas Japan celebrates Christmas as a time for couples to be together and celebrate Christmas. Side note all the food looks good and I just ate too 😂
couple's holiday for sure as it's not a Korean traditional holiday
100% a couple’s holiday 😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm sorry, but I'm tearing up when I see you guys decorating the christmas tree.. I miss Beemo so much.. it feels like something missing 😢
We felt the same way and still do when we look under the tree and he isn’t there.
Sadly Canada Post is on strike right now. I hope you have a way of getting your cards mailed to your Parents in Canada!
Thank you.
