Watching and listening to Jake confront Tana about how she “betrayed” his trust at 16:41 gave me the worst kind of goosebumps. He sounds so manipulative and cold, so nonchalant and uninterested in her and the whole situation.
The fact that she ended up apologizing to HIM for inviting someone she liked to HER birthday party to placate him makes my breath catch in such a weird way because I’ve seen how this sort of dynamic goes, and it typically goes hand in hand with some kind of abuse, whether physical or psychological.
