"ทุเรียนนนท์" การอนุรักษ์ระบบนิเวศเกษตรในเมือง

ทุเรียนนนท์ มีรสชาติที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ รวมถึงมีวิธีการทำสวนที่เป็นภูมิปัญญาที่สืบทอดต่อกันมา โดยมีการทำสวนแบบยกร่อง และปลูกพรรณไม้อื่นร่วมด้วย เพื่อให้ต้นไม้เอื้อประโยชน์แก่กัน ซึ่งเป็นการอนุรักษ์ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ ทั้งชนิดพันธุ์และสายพันธุ์ของทุเรียน รวมถึงระบบนิเวศเกษตรในเมือง ที่เป็นที่อยู่ของชนิดพันธุ์ทั้งพืชและสัตว์ที่ควรอนุรักษ์ไว้ก่อนที่จะสูญหายไป และยังเป็นการส่งเสริมการอนุรักษ์พันธุกรรมท้องถิ่นโดยชุมชน
Durian Non, or Nonthaburi Durian,is the premium-grade durian worldwide famous for its unique taste with a mild fragrance and creamy texture. Farmers in Nonthaburi Province have traditional practices for growing and nourishing durian trees in every steps, especially the raised-mound technique, raising the mound and then growing various types of plants around the tree base to benefit each other. This method significantly contribute to biodiversity conservation, maintaining durian’s varieties, and also promoting agricultural ecosystem and genetic conservation by local communities.
