@@Appleguy let me explain it for you. SMG4 is a channel owned by 2 brothers, Kevin and Luke Lerdwichagul. They used Mario 64 ROM hacks to make bloopers and skits with Mario and friends. There was minimal editing, but there was dialogue. The channels first episode was on May 7th, 2011. The channels name at this time was ṧღ64 ♭ℓ◎◎℘εґṧ. Soon, Luke incorporated his own character into the videos, SMG4. The character was almost identical to Mario, except he had white overalls and blue undergarments, as well as a blue cap. From 2011-2013 was what people call the classic era. The editing got slowly better. Soon enough, there was a lot of green screen editing, and Gmod became more prominent in the episodes to aid with the overall quality. A new character who would be prominent later on was introduced, SMG3, sporting black overalls and blue undergarments and a blue cap. The plots and concepts of these skits evolved over time, leading to the channels most popular video, a FNaF parody. Around some time the channel was renamed to Supermarioglitchy4. 2011 also marked the first year of a trend for the channel from then on. At some point during the latter half of the year, a video would be released, known was War of the Fat Italians (WOTFI). This is a series where the SMG4 character and Mario would go through certain trials and challenges to see who was "better". The series soon had a customary rap battle in the 2015 episode. Skipping ahead a bit, more characters were introduced, a good portion of them being original characters for the channel. The channel also developed story arcs that would bring in new characters, these arcs would almost always with a WOTFI. Alot of fans started to develop a distaste for the channel, as they didn't want new characters and stories, as well as the characters being too 'anime-ish'. A few years later, the 2 brothers went on to start an animation company, Glitch Productions. Around this time, the channel was renamed to SMG4 // Glitch Productions. On Glitch Productions, they started their own original animated web series, Meta Runner, featuring a character from SMG4 as the protagonist. Later on they made another web series featuring another SMG4 character as the main protagonist, this show was shorter. The channels name also got changed to SMG4 around this time. The animation also vastly improved during this era as well. More and more older SMG4 fans started to leave as newer ones arrived. The channel made more videos starting Mario as the main character, and a series was soon started that had SMG4's version of Mario reacting to things, or playing game. The most recent and notable events come from the most recent WOTFi, as well as another smaller arc this year. All of the characters that were from Mario or Nintendo games were redesigned to be more original to SMG4. The SMG4 character, as well as SMG3, got a redesign. These redesigns received major backlash. This brings us to the most notable recent event. These redesigns were changed to look better overall, and they updated the design of an older character as well. Something else that happened in this event was the supposed removal of the Mario 64 castle as the center location of most episodes. It is speculated SMG4 will design a new hub for these videos. PS: since I'm too lazy to write this into a paragraph, it should be noted that Mario in SMG4 is generally a dumbass, for comedic purposes. Hot take time, Kirby has a better invincibility theme
Oof yeah that is BOILING hot
my gameboy color copy has it.
I think Super Mario Land was one of the games that had color baked in even before the GBC was around!
Good thing it's not mainline

Annoying pigeon meme
Right you are!
