Anyone now how much it is to move and set up one of these. I been trying to ask ppl but they turn me to Clayton home but I'm curious about if I found a regular trailer house to get . I'm jus curious
I just did the video. click on patnova1 and look at Troutman moving trailer part 2 and 3.....one of them has closeup of their truck with their phone no. on door... You might call them and ask....one thing the video didn't show, they drilled holes aprox 3 feet diameter by 3 feet deep and filled with concrete each place they set the concrete block piers....before moving trailer to this spot
We are in the process of having a 16x80 single wide setup and moved about 148 miles from where our land is, to our land. We live in S.E. Ohio (Ohio Valley). The inspector we asked to ok one of the 3-4 spots we want to place the home at says, as long as the ground is solid, there is no fill dirt, and we use 2x2 abs pads, we should be ok. But we are trying to make sure (with limited funds to do this) we get everything done in one shot, and not run into any problems! The guy who came down to check things out, and see what he'll be running into and what he needs to do, suggested we call this inspector guy to have him come out and make sure it's ok to place the home on one of the 4 spots we chose. He says unless we THINK we're running into any problems, he doesn't see why he should come out now. But I did explain to him the limited funds and we don't have the funds to run into any mishaps along the way, or to have to undo anything on the spot the home is placed at, just to have to move it to another spot because he may decide no on the spot we place it on! I know you said you only video'd this, but what can you suggest to us as far as how we set the spot up using 2x2 abs pads for the 16x80 single wide Redman? I know rules and stipulations have changed over time as far as manufactured homes and how they're places etc. We only want to make this right the first run. Not to have to find we have to undo and redo anything! Thanks
Some of the blocks are stacked double, some single, depending on height. The blocks are stacked on concrete piers 3 ft diameter x 4 ft in the ground. If you look at the number of piers/blocks and the distance between them and considering the 3 ft diameter x 4 ft deep concrete piers in the ground, there is no stability problem.......I only did the video, I'm not a part of the "setup crew" but was quite impressed when I saw all the holes in the ground being filled with concrete........thanks for comment.....I should have videoed the concreting the holes......didn't think of video until later...

that old man building the foundation maybe is slower than molasis on a winter night but i bet its the best damn most level foundation around
what is the description or name of the unit that you are using to lift and pivot the long units??? the tracked unit!!!!
What is that track driven machine called? How much weight can it pick up? That machine is the coolest part of the video. Thanks for sharing.

what a hard way to make a living !
But rewarding I'm sure.
Nice trailer house just needs vinyl siding
Nahh
Three blocks stacked single not to stable, should be six blocks doubled up
