Gary I love all your vlogs but this one was absolutely brilliant, my wife is Italian so I I've been to lots of dell's so so true of what you said, there is a true atmosphere in these shops, the smell, ambiance, the welcome, well done Gary another exceptional video, I will go go to bed tonight with a smile on my face and my stomach rumbling, well done mate keep up the great reviews. Cheers mate.
I'm really glad and happy to hear that Harold. They're just perfect aren't they? Even better on a cold winter day! Really appreciate that my friend and I'm over the moon you enjoyed it so much - all the best and have a great week.
Hi Gary, for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the shop or road it was on, to me being an ex chef it was utopia for fish n chips, Crispy cod soggy chips fried in beef fat, luvly jubbly as Dell would say. Cheers mate roll on the next one.
I have no problem paying a higher price for a good sandwich. You can't beat a freshly made sandwich from a good deli. Food and shop looked amazing. No brainer how they have continued for so long. Thank you Gary, great video.
You have to pay for quality... And these prices weren't outrageous considering you are paying for quality ingredients, staff, etc. .. if you want a cheap and cheerful sandwich go to the supermarket.... I do.
I can clearly hear the joy in your voice when you ate the soup and sandwiches. I was so envious while watching you eat all that delicious goodness. If I may venture a suggestion for the next time you eat a pastrami sandwich, is to have it on good rye bread. Not only is it traditional, but it makes the pastrami soar to new heights. The prices were quite reasonable in my humble opinion for such quality food. Another winner and I hope you visit it again to sample the other culinary delights. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to your future videos.
Thanks for the recommendation and next time, I will have it like that. Thank you very much and I will most definitely be back to sample some of their other sandwiches and buy some produce!
There are reasons why Roths has survived the decades and you have highlighted each and every one. This is not New York where delis benefit from 19th century immigration of nationalities who understand food. This is London and Roths is a little gem doing what it does best - serve top class food of the highest quality. Whenever we visit London, we never miss lunch at Roths to savour their cuisine and we are never - never - disappointed.
That was a quality delicatessen Gary. The soup looked delicious, the sandwiches, especially the pastrami, were fabulous. I thought that was excellent value for money, the sandwiches bursting with flavour and content. I love delicatessens and that was a first class establishment. Many thanks for sharing your experience Gary. Enjoyed watching the video 👍👍👍
That’s true, but unfortunately Katz gets all the hype, but there are plenty of places here selling the same sandwiches for a lot less money. Also Katz’s sandwiches have 3times the meat, and they give you meat to taste first.
$27 for a sandwich??? I would want it hand-delivered on a silver platter by a Chauffeur driving a Rolls-Royce for that..New Yorkers are even more stupid than I already thought.
Oh Gary I do like a good 😋 Deli, and that looked brilliant. Soup like mama's rich full bodied 😊 Sarnies, a meal in every mouthful. Back in 2015 I was lucky enough to visit New York. The spiritual home of the Delicatessen ❤ I fell in love with two beautiful sites.Carnegie's on 7th and Katz's the address of which I have forgotten. Both heaven on earth (Carnegie's closed the year after my visit 😢)But l'm sure that Katz's is still going. The big difference I noticed, in NY the pace, the hurly burly .And everyone seemed to know everybody else. Both sides of the counters 😊. Price, quality don't come cheap 😢but top quality is worth every penny. Glad CTP got fed this time 😅. Belting video, again ❤ See you on the next one Allan&Family ❤😊
Hi Gary I think the sandwiches 🥪 were so reasonable priced for eating indoors, the soup looked delicious 😋 I think 🤔 definitely value. For money great place to eat.
I am very late seeing this video but so very pleased that you paid a visit to Paul Rothe. I have lived in the area form most of my life and adore this place so it warms my heart that you loved it so much. It's so unpretentious and has stuck to what it does best. Thank you for giving the much deserved golden 10! they truly deserve it.
Wow, what a lovely shop, they have quite a selection of jellies and jams. They've been in business all this time, they must be doing something right. I love soup and sandwich for a meal, either lunch or supper, everything looked fantastic. I'll keep this place in mind when I'm in London next.
I love good soup, I love pastrami and I love a good combo. What a cracking meal. You are knocking it out of the park! The price is good for the quality.
Hi Gary, Pricey, but i think we can safely say those sandwiches and soup were something special. Worth a visit. All the best, looking forward to the next review.
Don't think I've seen a bigger smile on your face Gary, have to say the place looked amazing just up my street and the food too, can't beat scratch made food
Fantastic Deli. Soup looked top class, tasty, meaty. Sandwich, crammed with pastrami and condiments, fresh. Gammon and salad looked great too. Bit pricey but you pay for quality and it is London. Solid 10/10 from me.
Hi Gary, I've been a bit under the weather this week, so I'm taking it easy & thought I'd relax with a few of your older reviews this evening. I loved this one! One of my favourite things for lunch has always been a really good, fresh sandwich & this deli looked absolutely delightful! I was having a close look at the lemon & pepper chicken + chicken, bacon & spring onion options & thought they would make for a brilliant sandwich. Such a beautiful place & atmosphere in there too. If you see me commenting on a few of your older uploads over the next few hours, no need to reply as I'm sure you have thousands from your most recent reviews. 😊 Take care & I hope you have a great weekend. 💙🥰
You certainly found a little gem there . Well worth a visit. The soup looked amazing . The sandwich to die for . Had loads of jams and preservatives to buy and enjoy . Thanks Gary🤩👍🙏🏼😘
I’ve just tried this place out, without a doubt it was probably the best bought sandwich I’ve had in years. Added to my list of preferred eateries. Thanks Gary.
This is a proper deli isn't it? I'd go a long way for a good one, but sadly this is too far away unless visiting London, but I definitely will next time I'm there. A good pastrami is always well worth travelling for and I can nearly taste and smell the beef and onion soup. It just looks as if it's bursting with flavour. And those sandwiches are pure culinary heaven! The bread....... Mmmmmm! Don't save that last sandwich for later Gary. Save it for me! A lovely review Gary but in a sense it's its own review as it's lasted so long as a business! No outrageous prices so far as I'm concerned. It's all A1. 10 out of 10 indeed!
Love a good sandwich. Went to Katz in NYC and it was £30 for just the sandwich. Also the staff were spectacularly rude. The food was delicious though and the size of the sandwich is roughly three times bigger than you had. Soup looked really nice. If the soup is properly seasoned that's always a good sign. I have to say, your sandwiches looked small but you said the pastrami flavour was excellent so thats good news. I do like a toasted sandwich. Another outstanding review. Soup was a good price. The pastrami sandwich looked fantastic but the gammon could have done with a slice more!! It's a 9 for me.
What an excellent find Gary. Have to say the pastrami sandwich looked out of this world. And the shop itself - wow - how great that looked. As for the price, not bad for fantastic food in a great place with top notch service in a very expensive part of London. Loving your reviews.
Thank you Gary for reviewing this excellent delicatessen and making us aware of it. I will visit this deli soon. Know the area well, but never knew this deli and how good it is until now
Really love your reviews Garry. Im catching up with previous reviews as i am new to your channel. Fair and unbiased. You are a gentleman and never give an unfair appraisal. Keep up the fantastic work. Its clear that it is your passion.
If it's been family run since the 1900's then they look amazing for their age. 😂. I agree that quality counts and I have no issue paying that price for eating in and enjoying the ambience with such high quality food. The Pastrami and soup must be the secret to their longevity lol 😊
Good review Gary,I was surprised when you said it was your first visit to a deli. The sandwiches I felt would have been better on rye bread, the pickles always come on the side here, usually a whole pickle, the price was the same as most places in NY but forget about Katz’s it’s for tourists, though their sandwiches are incredible, there would be at least3 times the meat on them, and samples while you wait for them to make your sandwich.Rare roast beef, with mayonnaise on rye is a rare treat for me,so good.Soup looked like my mom’s oxtail, which I loved.
Yes, I should have got Rye bread. I've had so many people in the comments recommend Katz but as you're in NYC and say not to, I'll give it a miss if I ever go. Thanks for sharing :)
Loved this really want to go and try the Pastrami sandwich but especially on rye and the soup sounded sooo good. My husband and I now want to try and make some homemade Beef and onion soup. One of your best reviews ever and 've seen most of them. Nice one Gary
That is a good deli! The bread on those sandwiches looked really tasty and the ingredients so fresh. Soup excellent and piping hot and a good bowl of it as well. What a gem of a place and i have made a note to get there. I would pay that price for that quality. I love pastrami so i too would be in heaven. Definitely a 10 gary😀👍
What an absolutely fabulous deli, just love places like that. Yes, a bit pricey but you’re in central London and you are paying for the quality also. There’s actually also a knack to making a good sandwich, and they looked fab. The soup reminded me, in looks, of Oxtail soup, but most definitely of a superior quality. Great vlog, and something different. I always wonder where we are going next
It's truly beautiful. I've actually been informed that the price compared to other places is very affordable so even better. Yes, Oxtail soup - you're spot on. Thank you!
Well done for marking this a 10.! I eat here regularly and never been disappointed…everything is fresh and all ingredients are top notch.! Not outrageous cost considering it’s Marylebone. Well done..!!
I went to school in Marylebone and my dentist is in Wimpole street just round the corner from Paul Rothe & sons, I have walked past the deli hundreds of times and looked in through the window at their wares yet have never eaten inside, after watching your mouth watering film and recommendation next time I'm passing I will step in for soup and a sandwich.
Nice one Gary - I'm afraid I would have to put my wallet under lock and key at this shop. Fabulous. If it looks good and smells good - it is most likeley awesome :) Nice review as ever. Fabulous to see your channel growing with each review! Top dollar, but given the quality - yes, everytime.
Gary, the New York has thousands of great delis with great sandwiches and salads. The displays of products was and is truly amazing in your video and makes me want to visit the UK very, very soon.
Not been for many a year but great seeing the standard is still so high Yet another superb video you are growing very quickly but you have the potential to get massive on this platform and it will be very well deserved
Hi Gary, what a place, I reckon they had more varieties of Tiptree, jams and preserves than my local Sainsbury's and that's a pretty big supermarket. One look at your face told us all we needed to know about the food you ate, made and served with love. We are so lucky in London, to have access to all these wonderful places. Although it's a big city, with our transport system, you are never that far away. If I was as young and fit as you, I'd be there tomorrow and I know I'd enjoy it every bit as much as you did. Thanks once again for a really great review, also, the sort of place that other reviewers on UA-cam, might not bother with, their loss, our gain. All the best mate, keep up the good work.
Completely agree with you. I appreciate your kind comments. I know London gets a bit of criticism especially because of it's pricing but it has some incredibly good gems. Thanks mate!
That looked quality! The soup a definite A1 and the pastrami always goes down well! Gammon is only good from a deli tbf as its always gonna be good. The price was fair and the sandwiches looked nicely balanced so top tier! If you ever get a chance, go to NYC USA For a Katz's hot pastrami on rye sandwich for comparison! Nice one Gary!
Looks like a Continental Deli which I love ❤ all the different smells etc 😋 the soup 🍲 looks like something mum would make back in the day...now that is what I call a sandwich Gary !! Enjoy 😉 another great video thankyou ❤❤
Great food Gary I could see 👌🏽 If you swapped out the whole meal for rye and added a dash of sauerkraut you got a Ruben 😊 I could see the soup was amazing just from looking 😊 Good value too as 12 years ago I worked at a bakery and our soup was £5.50 with freshly baked bread of your choice then 😩 Great review again 👍🏾
What a place, everything you dream about. The old adage " you get what you pay for" is very apt here. Food was delicious looking. Great show Gary, it gets better and better.
What a great video. Quality always costs that little bit more and rightly so! If anywhere deserves one of your perfect 10s it looked like that place. Not a chain, food done right and at a reasonable price. Love it.
That is right up my street! Being able to eat there and buy food!!! Looked really good although a touch pricy for an every day work time lunch but as you say, cheaper for take out. Hubby Joe would love the pastrami but hold the pickles for both of us. Another great review, Gary. Keep up the good work!
Hi Gary, I think that’s a great price for such a lovely fresh tasty looking sandwich, and the soup looked delicious.oh Gary my mouth was watering watching you eat that.if I’d been near that place I would have been in like a shot. Xx
This was one of the best places I have visited on the channel. I absolutely loved it and I will be returning over Christmas to buy some of their stock.
It’s an expensive process is Pastrami, I think my uncouth side would have got the better of me and dunked it straight into that soup. A good Deli is a real treat 👍
Looks like you've found a gem there Gary ! Be good if you could go there again sometime & try something else. Those sandwiches were out of this world & the soup was terrific also ! Nice atmosphere & very good service & as they say, 'You get what you pay for" and you got quality so it was money well spent !
Hi, Gary. Price sounded pretty reasonable tbh, mate, considering what you got and the location you're in. I prefer sauerkraut in a New York Deli (Rueben) sandwich not gherkins, and rye bread not brown bread but it looked (and bet it tasted) bangin' anyway. Keep it up 👍.
I've never been to a delicatessen myself by the look of it it gives a 1930s feel the food that you got looks simple but delicious and flavoursome it sounds like the stuff are absolutely brilliantly friendly and as you said you don't give them full marks all the time I'll give you your review of this delicatessen 10 out of 10
There used to be many sandwich shops like this in Central London but they have become rarer as the chains, such as Pret, have taken over. The prices are very steep though.
Oh that pastrami looked amazing , brought back memories of my late mother who had a terrific Jack Russell who loved pastrami and so cute he got more than I did .
The shop's layout was nothing short of stunning , had vintage all over it . I suppose if you want to treat yourself to the best now and again money shouldn't be an issue .
don't know how I missed this one Gary but it came up on my feed and im glad it did, It's hard to get real good pastrami and that looked incredible, we have some fantastic delis in Belfast the most famous being Sawers which is also over 100 years old and serves an incredible array of food from here and across the world, really enjoyed this review, absolutely love delis, maybe more deli review in the future? all the best Gav
Great revue of some of my favourite food, pastrami. It did look superb and the price, in my opinion, was reasonable. In Montreal where you can find great deli's, the price for a sandwich is about $28 cad. Which is somilar to your price. These sandwiches are served with ff's and coleslaw with a pickle on the side. Food of the Gods. If you ever come here ask for a Reuben or a Dunns smoked meat sandwich on rye bread or pumpernickel. Heavenly. As always, great mouthwatering video.
What beautiful food. The joy on your face as you had the soup and sandwiches was only matched by the picture you painted by opening it up so we could see inside. Very pricey for me but it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy every morsel as you consume it. 👍
Price alone, it does sound a little dear at first, but looks like it was worth every penny, and more (we also have to remember they have bills to pay, and rates, and staff wages). Also, if you only ordered one sandwich and a soup, it would be around £13 (so for quality, actually not bad). The sandwich alone is only £2 or £3 more than a a Subway one, but so much better. Looked fantastic. Real high quality, and sounds like it beats many actual full sit down meals. That pastrami sandwich looks wonderful, with a generous filling. The place looks fantastic too. I am skint at the moment, but if I could go, this is the type of place I love. There is a similar place in Edinburgh called Philpotts. It is take away only though, so no as extensive as this, with all the other produce. This looks better though.
Oh gosh,I’m blown away 👌🙌☺️☺️ I am a sandwich person- and appreciate greatly,a good sarnie. The hours it takes to make the pastrami is overlooked often. And I’m a ham connoisseur and that as well looked beautiful. The soup.am in awe how good that looked. Loved this. Am inspired- yes. You were definitely in your happy place in this episode.would love to see more delis The hunt for a better sandwich? Awesome
Hello Glenda. Nice to hear from you again as your positivity is captivating! I'm glad you liked the deli and would highly recommend. Thanks for watching!
@@GaryEats there’s some fantastic food to be found . I appreciate your odyssey Love to go on an odyssey of my own- a foodie trip. Starting,oh no.I have too many on my bucket list, but London is one of them and then over the pond.my niece and partner just got back last weekend from Las Vegas.she went to the bachannal in caesars palace- on my list. Was so so thrilled for her. There’s so much out there. And equally so much here on home turf too.
As a new fan, I'm still looking through all the videos. This may have been expensive, but the quality and quantity were outstanding. Great review and rating.
Gary, Paul Rothe & son.. The soup looked a lovely thick texture, I'd say a perfect 10. The Pastrami sandwich, i could see you really enjoyed, You had a smile on your face throughout, the toasted gammon sandwich was also extremely good! This has to be a 10/10 like you quoted 👍 Great review with Great food! Cheers 🍻
Gary, You have gained another 1000 subs in just a couple of days... & Although the £37 rip off vlog seemed disappointing food wise, Your word's, You have had over 1400 comments as well... 😊 Every cloud eh Gary, maybe not so disappointing after all, It was genius mate, can't fault ya! 👏 Cheers 🍻
I agree with your ranking of 10/10. Pastrami has become dear, so those prices aren't bad. I would also purchase a jar of jam to support a family-run restaurant.
Hi Gary delicatessen looks great . Nice to see the soup is really hot. Bread looked great. I will be up town next week so may give it a visit. Bit pricey but its the area.
Family run businesses put alot of profit before customer food businesses to shame. The best diet anyone can go on is watching other people eat Gary ha ha, another great review and a easy one to score, take care, Gareth
The place itself looks wonderful and the food fantastic. Am feeling a bit out of sorts today so could just do a bowl of that soup, it looked truly delicious A great review, yes it was expensive but I have no issue paying for a quality product and that is obviously top notch!
Congratulations on your momentous achievement you deserve the praise.... The fish and chips looked nice as did the big prawns and the scotch egg but I know it's Mayfair but blooming eck that's expensive. Great review here's to the next 100,000 Gary 🎉😊
I have to agree I know it’s Mayfair but the fish and chips were very expensive and in truth not everything was perfect thank you very much for both me and my son
It is so good to see a soup served that has all the flavors, every time I eat out and get soup its taste's is normally watery and seems to be made just to fill the batch for the day. I am sure this time with the sandwiches you shared with the poor camerman :) :)

High quality food there Gary & worth the price. A pastrami sandwich at Katz’s deli in NYC costs around $27 - making your bill look very reasonable.

hi gary, good review again, best comfort food in the world, soup and a sandwich, that looked absolutely spot on, thanks again gary.
Thanks Andy - you're more than welcome 👍
Fantastic Deli. Soup looked top class, tasty, meaty. Sandwich, crammed with pastrami and condiments, fresh. Gammon and salad looked great too. Bit pricey but you pay for quality and it is London. Solid 10/10 from me.
It was beautiful wasn't it? Real vintage stuff.
I'm so sorry to hear that Erin. I hope you get better soon!
@@GaryEats Thanks Gary. 💙
You certainly found a little gem there . Well worth a visit. The soup looked amazing . The sandwich to die for . Had loads of jams and preservatives to buy and enjoy . Thanks Gary🤩👍🙏🏼😘
More than welcome Karen. Thank you for watching :)
Glad to see you back Gary, Of course I will give it a go. Looks like a nice place. Actually the type of place that’s up my street.
Hey Dale. Yep, please do give it a try!
That pastrami sandwich looked delicious, I would have thought a bread roll would come with the soup.
That's a good point my friend.
It was superb. Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for the bread. Thanks for watching!
The European model is to eat soup with a sandwich - that's where you get the bread. Soup and a roll is a late 20th century UK phenomenon.
I’ve just tried this place out, without a doubt it was probably the best bought sandwich I’ve had in years. Added to my list of preferred eateries. Thanks Gary.
Great to hear! A superb deli.
If you're ever in London and need a good snack, please go here. Family run and really cost - you will love it!
Wow. Surprised at how much cheaper it is in central London. I can honestly what a pleasure this place truly is. A gem - Thanks for watching Andrew!
What an excellent find Gary. Have to say the pastrami sandwich looked out of this world. And the shop itself - wow - how great that looked. As for the price, not bad for fantastic food in a great place with top notch service in a very expensive part of London. Loving your reviews.
Glad you enjoyed it Rob. Appreciate it! It's a true gem of London.
Oh my word. My mouth was watering. That looked fabulous. Thank u Gary and The Cameraman. Another fab vids
I absolutely love this one and will be going back in a couple of weeks to get something for Christmas, thank you so much as always
Hi Gary. Wow what a great looking place. Another well made and enjoyable video. Wishing you well.
Many thanks David. It was superb.
Thank you Gary for reviewing this excellent delicatessen and making us aware of it. I will visit this deli soon. Know the area well, but never knew this deli and how good it is until now
You're more than welcome. Please give it a go, you will love it!
Really love your reviews Garry. Im catching up with previous reviews as i am new to your channel.
Fair and unbiased. You are a gentleman and never give an unfair appraisal. Keep up the fantastic work. Its clear that it is your passion.
That’s really appreciated and very kind John thank you 👌
If it's been family run since the 1900's then they look amazing for their age. 😂. I agree that quality counts and I have no issue paying that price for eating in and enjoying the ambience with such high quality food. The Pastrami and soup must be the secret to their longevity lol 😊
Hahaha. You've always got the jokes. Yep, superb place.
20 years since I last stepped foot in there , will be making a beeline again to there next year. Great Video.
Thanks Tony. Please do go back, it's superb.
Ooh made me soooo hungry . Could eat that soup and sandwich right now !, great vlog .Thank you .
Glad you enjoyed it Shelagh!
That looked spot on , i used to love having a salt beef sandwich in soho ,sadly no longer there ,Good review again Gary
Thanks Lee. How are you mate?
Full of cold at the moment mate .You keep well .@@GaryEats
Rest up and get better soon Lee.
Loved this really want to go and try the Pastrami sandwich but especially on rye and the soup sounded sooo good. My husband and I now want to try and make some homemade Beef and onion soup. One of your best reviews ever and 've seen most of them. Nice one Gary
That is so incredibly kind Hazel. I really I hope you both enjoy your beef and onion soup!
Seriously quality deli and food. Worth every cent!!! I swear the smell inside a great deli is right up there for me in my favourite things on earth. 😊
Spot on. It was sensational!
Hi Gary that looked amazing food and place. the price was fair to be honest .I would love that delicatesant great review 👍👍
Thanks Craig 👍 Glad you really enjoyed it!
never seen you look s happy, great review, thanks
I was over the moon Mike. It was incredible.
It's superb. I can only imagine how perfect it is in a cold winters day!
This was possibly my favourite review. I did Jason. I absolutely absolutely loved the sandwich shop.
Gary - you have a great channel going. I love the chill vibe , your reviews are calm , cool and collected. Keep it up.
Glad you like them! Thank you :)
You will not regret it whatsoever.
Lol, I don't blame you at all Steve. I would have to do the same if I went back. It was as you said it "awesome"!
Gary, the New York has thousands of great delis with great sandwiches and salads. The displays of products was and is truly amazing in your video and makes me want to visit the UK very, very soon.
This is privately owned with an absolutely fantastic reputation
I used to work round the corner to this is place. Absolutely amazing sandwiches. Top notch food, polite staff, love it!
Couldn't agree more!
Not been for many a year but great seeing the standard is still so high
Yet another superb video you are growing very quickly but you have the potential to get massive on this platform and it will be very well deserved
Wow - extremely kind of you to say that. Glad you also enjoyed the video and have experienced the Deli. Thanks for watching!
Yep. It was sensational. I need to go to NYC at some point in my life - all the best Steve.
Looks like a Continental Deli which I love ❤ all the different smells etc 😋 the soup 🍲 looks like something mum would make back in the day...now that is what I call a sandwich Gary !! Enjoy 😉 another great video thankyou ❤❤
I really enjoyed this one Helen. It has been going for many years and is incredibly busy for obvious reasons. ❤️🌹
@@GaryEats Hi Gary you looked very comfortable there too! You will have to do a return visit!
@@GaryEats I love my toasted Sandwiches especially with sour Doe bread
Great food Gary I could see 👌🏽
If you swapped out the whole meal for rye and added a dash of sauerkraut you got a Ruben 😊
I could see the soup was amazing just from looking 😊
Good value too as 12 years ago I worked at a bakery and our soup was £5.50 with freshly baked bread of your choice then 😩
Great review again 👍🏾
Thanks mate. Fantastic shout that, I should have done that. It was superb.
This place looks amazing, working our way through all your videos and loving the tour of (mostly) Great places, keep up the good work
Thank you! Will do Andy.
What a place, everything you dream about. The old adage " you get what you pay for" is very apt here. Food was delicious looking. Great show Gary, it gets better and better.
Spot on. It was like being in a very cosy village.
With delicious foods and soups😂
What a great video. Quality always costs that little bit more and rightly so! If anywhere deserves one of your perfect 10s it looked like that place. Not a chain, food done right and at a reasonable price. Love it.
Wonderful. Thank you!
Wow that place looks fantastic what a beautiful little shop
It was superb, Robert. Thanks for watching!
I am great fun of old fashioned sandwich delicatessen which is what can still find, less often but it is still there. Good find !
I absolutely loved this place, in fact, I will be going back at Christmas to buy some stock
That is right up my street! Being able to eat there and buy food!!! Looked really good although a touch pricy for an every day work time lunch but as you say, cheaper for take out. Hubby Joe would love the pastrami but hold the pickles for both of us. Another great review, Gary. Keep up the good work!
So good Fiona. Thank you!
Well done Gary excellent review, really enjoyed it.
Thank you Alan!
Hi Gary,my wife and I do go to London quite regularly we will definitely be going to Paul Rothe deli great videos as always guys 🙂👍
This is definitely worth a visit, Andrew
I’m loving this place ! Thank you for showing this fantastic delicatessen 🎉it’s on my my next visit when I’m here in London . From Yokohama Japan
This was simply outstanding and definitely worth a visit for sure
Hi Gary, I think that’s a great price for such a lovely fresh tasty looking sandwich, and the soup looked delicious.oh Gary my mouth was watering watching you eat that.if I’d been near that place I would have been in like a shot. Xx
This was one of the best places I have visited on the channel. I absolutely loved it and I will be returning over Christmas to buy some of their stock.
It’s an expensive process is Pastrami, I think my uncouth side would have got the better of me and dunked it straight into that soup. A good Deli is a real treat 👍
It was superb Mike.
Looks like you've found a gem there Gary ! Be good if you could go there again sometime & try something else. Those sandwiches were out of this world & the soup was terrific also ! Nice atmosphere & very good service & as they say, 'You get what you pay for" and you got quality so it was money well spent !
I can definitely do that Robert. I would love to go back anyway so I'd happily do that :)
I really need to go to New York. Thanks for watching!
I've never been to a delicatessen myself by the look of it it gives a 1930s feel the food that you got looks simple but delicious and flavoursome it sounds like the stuff are absolutely brilliantly friendly and as you said you don't give them full marks all the time I'll give you your review of this delicatessen 10 out of 10
This was a wonderful delicatessen
Really enjoying all your views Gary; been a subscriber for about a month now. We need more videos up in Yorkshire!
No ! Essex !
Really appreciate that. You're in luck as I'm off to Yorkshire... next week!
@@GaryEats 🥲
Patience. All in good time!
There used to be many sandwich shops like this in Central London but they have become rarer as the chains, such as Pret, have taken over. The prices are very steep though.
Honestly James - that's why this is such a beautiful gem!
Hi Gary, the food looks absolutely delicious enjoy. Thank you so much for your expectations
You're more than welcome Pamela. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you Gary for introducing me to new restaurants. Will definitely GIVE IT A Go..
😊
More than welcome. Can highly recommend that!
Oh that pastrami looked amazing , brought back memories of my late mother who had a terrific Jack Russell who loved pastrami and so cute he got more than I did .
Ah, I love that. Thanks for sharing Alan - all the best mate.
The shop's layout was nothing short of stunning , had vintage all over it . I suppose if you want to treat yourself to the best now and again money shouldn't be an issue .
It's pure vintage and absolutely wonderful!
don't know how I missed this one Gary but it came up on my feed and im glad it did, It's hard to get real good pastrami and that looked incredible, we have some fantastic delis in Belfast the most famous being Sawers which is also over 100 years old and serves an incredible array of food from here and across the world, really enjoyed this review, absolutely love delis, maybe more deli review in the future? all the best Gav
Cheers Gav. I’ve got another on my list to do in a few weeks time)
Wow those sandwiches looked amazing and the place itself was fab. Soup is soup to me but you certainly sold this one.
Great review of quality food 👍
It's superb Carol. Can only highly recommend!
Thank you for watching
What beautiful food. The joy on your face as you had the soup and sandwiches was only matched by the picture you painted by opening it up so we could see inside. Very pricey for me but it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy every morsel as you consume it. 👍
Oh thank you Philip. I can only say how good it was. Thanks mate.
Brilliant review that soup looked fantastic. The sandwiches amazing. Not cheap but all quality. This is a most definite 10.
Thank you very much Colin! Completely agree.
Oh gosh,I’m blown away 👌🙌☺️☺️
I am a sandwich person- and appreciate greatly,a good sarnie. The hours it takes to make the pastrami is overlooked often. And I’m a ham connoisseur and that as well looked beautiful.
The soup.am in awe how good that looked. Loved this. Am inspired- yes.
You were definitely in your happy place in this episode.would love to see more delis
The hunt for a better sandwich? Awesome
Hello Glenda. Nice to hear from you again as your positivity is captivating! I'm glad you liked the deli and would highly recommend. Thanks for watching!
@@GaryEats there’s some fantastic food to be found . I appreciate your odyssey
Love to go on an odyssey of my own- a foodie trip.
Definitely fantastic quality Sandra
Worth the score Gary and the food looked fantastic especially the soup don’t mind paying a little bit extra for food you know you will enjoy
Absolutely. A gorgeous setting!
Looks an amazing place Gary. Need to check it out. Top channel.
Thank you Alan. Glad you're liking my videos!
Gary,
Paul Rothe & son..
The soup looked a lovely thick texture, I'd say a perfect 10.
The Pastrami sandwich, i could see you really enjoyed, You had a smile on your face throughout, the toasted gammon sandwich was also extremely good!
This has to be a 10/10 like you quoted 👍
Great review with Great food!
Cheers 🍻
So good Tel. A truly brilliant place to spend an hour or so. Can only highly recommend mate. Cheers!
Gary,
You have gained another 1000 subs in just a couple of days...
& Although the £37 rip off vlog seemed disappointing food wise, Your word's, You have had over 1400 comments as well... 😊
Every cloud eh Gary, maybe not so disappointing after all,
It was genius mate, can't fault ya! 👏
Cheers 🍻
Not expensive. Quality nice surroundings and well presented worth every penny.
Spot on Neil.
Wow..I'm so glad you went there.. their food really is first class. I know... great review..kind regards Dave 😁👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Dave. What do you usually order?
I agree with your ranking of 10/10. Pastrami has become dear, so those prices aren't bad. I would also purchase a jar of jam to support a family-run restaurant.
Very good point. Thanks for watching!
High quality food, great pick Gary.
This place is outstanding, Eddie
Wow,that looked amazing, great review as usual
Thanks so much and couldn't agree more Debbie. Thanks for watching!
Walked past this shop many a time. Next time must go in and sample some food, looks amazing. Thanks for sharing
You should!
The whole place just oozes quality. Those sandwiches looked amazing and the takeaway price is a bargain for what you are getting
It's very classy Ian. Thanks for watching!
Hi Gary delicatessen looks great . Nice to see the soup is really hot. Bread looked great. I will be up town next week so may give it a visit. Bit pricey but its the area.
Indeed. Hope you have a good time!
Good food nice place lovely people, happy days.
Spot on George. A lovely family run business!
Family run businesses put alot of profit before customer food businesses to shame.
The best diet anyone can go on is watching other people eat Gary ha ha, another great review and a easy one to score, take care, Gareth
Spot on Gareth. Haha, thanks mate!
The place itself looks wonderful and the food fantastic. Am feeling a bit out of sorts today so could just do a bowl of that soup, it looked truly delicious A great review, yes it was expensive but I have no issue paying for a quality product and that is obviously top notch!
Hope you’re okay Nigel.
Gary, I would definitely pay those prices for that standard of food! I love wee places like this.... looks amazing! I😊
Excellent news Sheila. It was truly excellent!
The food looks delicious and great looking Deli. In Northern Ireland here, we have a lot of family run deli's. 😃
I'll try and get over there at some point Denise
Making me terribly hungry. I not finished watching, but I am rating a 10! Blessings from Texas,USA. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Brian and hello Texas 👌
Congratulations on your momentous achievement you deserve the praise.... The fish and chips looked nice as did the big prawns and the scotch egg but I know it's Mayfair but blooming eck that's expensive. Great review here's to the next 100,000 Gary 🎉😊
I have to agree I know it’s Mayfair but the fish and chips were very expensive and in truth not everything was perfect thank you very much for both me and my son
Worth every penny .... looked outstanding 😊 great food, nice place
Yes it was Steven. A superb Deli.
It is so good to see a soup served that has all the flavors, every time I eat out and get soup its taste's is normally watery and seems to be made just to fill the batch for the day. I am sure this time with the sandwiches you shared with the poor camerman
:) :)
It was delicious here John - highly recommend
