Greg Kinnear did an excellent job as the host of Later, but he didn't stay too long. If he had stayed on the air just a little bit longer, then he would have been a big late night talk show host.
He quit TV to be a movie star (e.g. Sabrina, 1995). He joked about it at the time, people were asking him to be in movies, when his dream had always been to be on TV.
