Had to come back to this video to say thank you! About 6 years ago I had no idea what Dream Theater was until I randomly found this video one night. I was a little taken aback because of the length of the song but after watching this mind blowing cover that was it, from then and there I had become a Dream Theater fan. Nowadays they’re still my absolute favorite band and Train of Though is my favorite album of all time. Again, I can’t say this enough: thank you so much for this incredible cover and for your love of Dream Theater. Without this video I would probably have never gone to see Dream Theater 3 times, see John Petrucci on his solo tour and be a die-hard fan of Dream Theater.
+filoteanu adrian He's damn precise that's true, but it's not only about playing petrucci's stuff, these riffs and solos need to be written first. I'm not sure whether a replacement for petrucci really might exist.
Keep in your mind john petrucci wrote this song.. But this guys just insane with the guitar work.. Clean and smooth solo.. I always jump into conclusion, if someone cover song without showing his/her face would be humble and perfect cover..
Am I the only one who likes his guitar tone more than what petrucci had in the original song? This tone has more punch and sounds more powerful and edgy
Prashant Joshi because this one suppose to sound more loud because this is a cover. The original doesn't supposed to sound as loud as this because it will overtake the other instruments
Love the smoke break! No critiques, prefect execution. This is the only video I've seen with perfect voicings, feel and articulation. Great job, hope Petrucci runs into this! Your sweeps are impeccable!
Note for note, that was FLAWLESS! The solo was insanely clean for how crazy it is in nature and for the love of Metal you make it look so easy despite that. Bravo and much more!
That legato solo is just nuts! I finally transcribed it and working it up to speed. BTW-I transposed it down 1/2 step and will do it on a 7 string with my band. Sounds heavier and easier for the vocalist.
I found this video like 5 years ago and instantly got blown away. And now I keep coming back to watch again an again. In my opinion Muneyuki is the best Petrucci's cover in the whole youtube!!
This is ridiculous, man. I've rarely seen anyone attempt to cover this and you do it perfectly. I used to know all the parts other than the leads, but it's been many years and I'd have to relearn it all again. Well done.
I have seen you your videos since forever man. Just came to say that I have never seen someone who does it perfectly and so relaxing the way play it man. HATS DOWN. your right hand and so accurate and the left hand is just smooth. hope one day I can make it to your level. The tune is the best. SIMPLY everything about your covers is just amazing buddy keep it going
For me this is best solo ever. It's breath taking.Unbelievable cover. This is best song ever.My favourite. That fucking solo is mindblowing.Hardest of Hardest...
Focusing on Dream Theatre and Petrucci in particular you'll often see people point guitarists who might have faster picking speed in the comments but Petrucci has way more melodic composition skills & ability to interact and scribe with his fellow musicians in whatever band is what makes him most complete in my mind. His ability to be the cog in the Dream Theatre wheel is as important as his own musical virtuoso.
Your amazing skill places you in a category all by yourself. An accomplishment very few will achieve in their lifetime. When you play the guitar, an amazing sound grips my soul, singing a complex plea for me to enjoy the fruits you create. All I could think was,"WOW!". What an artist!
Of course because with the capo in the 1st fret, the Am sounds like Bb, but if you can check the official guitar songbook from BC&SL you can realize that the tuning noted is 3 whole steps down
Your picking has better economy than my country.
lmao what?
Economy picking
Lmfao
Lol...
Best comment ever xD
petrucci said in an interview that sometimes he sees people on youtube playing his songs better than him and this scares him. I bet he saw that guy.
I think he was just being b humble
+DeadCookieMachine Where did he say that? I wanna see!
Just saw that interview at the Anderton's channel. I'm sure he saw this guy playing! PERFECT
he's just humble . replicating that stuff live and most importantly writing that stuff is another story
on another note this guy's covers are just insane . just wow
My god... that last run of the solo that's completely picked out was so articulate and clean it's breath taking.
+Michael Riley I bet this is due to the fact that he use the same guitare ;)
+Pier-andrea Bascetto yes, this guitar enables anybody to play so crispy clean, other brands can't provide such thing
@@Marol2137 this guitar isn't just gunna allow you to play like that lmfao
That perfect movement of right hand on pickup switch... 8:08
Seriously that was so satisfying to watch!
Perfect chang PU
Eddie style? xD
10:43 - that pickslide is so smooth
In The Name Of Muneyuki

best "In the Name of God" cover i 've seen so far
The best on UA-cam in fact
Jesus this is fantastic, arguably one of the hardest, if not the hardest, Petrucci solo. And you played it perfect!
Lost not forgotten lol
possibly the best cover of a DT song that I've seen so far... insane tune dude. Keep it up
Watching guitar videos as a drummer, I can relate more to the song and actually see why Portnoy's parts are perfect to JP's guitar parts.
That’s a good way of looking at the whole song, especially when you already know the parts.
If John ever quits Dream Theater, there will be absolutely no problem!!!! We are safe!
+filoteanu adrian He's damn precise that's true, but it's not only about playing petrucci's stuff, these riffs and solos need to be written first. I'm not sure whether a replacement for petrucci really might exist.

and i just realized he did this in 1 take...with no mistakes! every sweep and note clean and clear! wtf!!
Am I the only one who likes his guitar tone more than what petrucci had in the original song? This tone has more punch and sounds more powerful and edgy

That cigarette move was smooooth. Great cover.

Love the smoke break! No critiques, prefect execution. This is the only video I've seen with perfect voicings, feel and articulation. Great job, hope Petrucci runs into this! Your sweeps are impeccable!
If you can play that, you can play anything. Nice job man!
One of the best covers on UA-cam hands down!! No frills, just spot of playing!!
Ok, thats it, Im done. *Throws guitar out the window*
*hits me in the head* Sweet! free guitar.
And I picked it up. 😉
Ive only one tip:
Dont use comic sans.

8:09 was the coolest pickup switch ive ever seen :D
Flawless cover, amazing.
Lmao he lights a cigarette while playing, well played ! Perfect
i love how your fingers are so relaxed
OMG that is ridiculously perfect. Studio version grade on a single take. Respect.
Note for note, that was FLAWLESS! The solo was insanely clean for how crazy it is in nature and for the love of Metal you make it look so easy despite that. Bravo and much more!
Damn asians. Always so good at everything.
especially philippines hehe
@@joshuadiuyan8203 have you ever seen us Northeast Indians?
@@GenZ_Guitarist the reason I love north East. Y'all keeping metal alive in India❤️❤️.

this is literally as good as petrucci, not even kidding if you subbed this for the guitar track in the album nobody would even notice
I found this video like 5 years ago and instantly got blown away. And now I keep coming back to watch again an again. In my opinion Muneyuki is the best Petrucci's cover in the whole youtube!!
You're so good guitar player
In the name of Myneyuki - Guitar cover by God.

Lol, WHAT?
The solo...*Cries*..it's purrrrrfect
After 10 years, I comeback to this video, to watch your incredible circular picking
the tone sounds so good it sounds like its breathing...
This is ridiculous, man. I've rarely seen anyone attempt to cover this and you do it perfectly. I used to know all the parts other than the leads, but it's been many years and I'd have to relearn it all again. Well done.
Dude. that was an awesome cover. so smooth man. Well-practiced!
