Can you record an entire song with just a Shure Sm7b? In this video I challenged myself to record an entire song with just a single mic. This microphone is popular with musicians, podcasters, and youtubers alike for a great reason: it's awesome. If you're just beginning your home recording studio I think its a great place to start.

Piano: remove knee panel and mic from the front, 1-2 feet from the strings

That's a good idea to try. I'm a little worried about foot pedal noise (and how loud I tap my foot) but something to try in the future for sure!
