Your birth mother did want you 🥰 - she could’ve just had a termination but she loved you so much that she carried you for 9mths despite her own pain, and then she gave you up so you could have a better life than she could offer. As a mother myself, those are unbelievable gifts to give your child. What an amazing birth mother you have 🥰🥰.

The question, “even in cases of rape and incest,” presupposes that children of rape and incest are sub-human. As a child of rape, I do not hesitate to point out the bigotry of the argument.
They say unwanted children might grow up in foster care. As one who grew up in foster care, I ask them how children in foster care are less worthy of human rights.
They need to throw away their crystal balls and stop playing God.

What an amazing outcome, this story brought me to tears. I have worked for 15yrs with adults with learning disabilities in the UK and I have heard first hand how they themselves had been forced to terminate pregnancies because of their conditions of over 50+ women I have worked with only a handful were strong enough to fight for their pregnancies and their families come to visit them when they can.

My mom was conceived in rape. My grandmother was 14 years old when my mother was born. Although I am pro-choice, this story moved me to tears. I’ve always believed in the power of adoption. This story is amazing. How lucky to have had two beautiful loving amazing moms! Thank you for your story. Although I still advocate for a woman’s right to choose, I believe that the humanity of this story is not a political story, a religious story, but grace and compassion transcends all of our differences and connects with the loving beings we truly are. May your impact reach far and wide. 🙏🏾

It’s a horrible situation. God’s love or a vulnerable woman not knowing her options. Anyone who has worked in hospitals before terminations were legal, and has thus seen the horrific results of backyard terminations by goodness knows who- they had to be desperate. I can’t judge them. But we did try to save their lives. I’d hate to go back to those times. The perforated uteruses. The ghastly infections. They affected the poor- rich women find the care they prefer. Awful times. And the anti folk won’t be turning up to do the 2 and 5 am feeds or change nappies etc. Funny that.
