Just to note, while dragon arrows are worth around 2620 at the current time of this comment, a ranged setup will always have ava's gear and the assembler saves 80% of your arrows. Which theoretically brings the cost down to 524 for each arrow.

@@rc07570 because a lost arrow is still a 2620 loss of gp, it doesn’t change the cost or the loss of the arrow, it just decreases the chance of losing the arrow.
For example, you have 100 arrows for 262k, when you’re done, you have 0 arrows, you still lost 262k of arrows, if you’re going to resupply the arrows, you will still be spending another 262k.
@@danielandree3947 I guess, yeah, each arrow is still the same cost. So they should have more accurately said "per attack" instead of per arrow. The context (33:41) was comparing the cost of staff casts to T-Bow attacks with dragon arrows

The reason you got shredded at Arma is because Krees magic attack rolls vs your range defence, not your magic defence. Thus you got destroyed with only 5 range defence. Fun fact, the spynolops at DKs also only roll vs your range defence, both the rangers and magers.

I'd like to point out a few tips. The staff triples all magic atk and damage bonuses, this also includes negative bonuses, so using any negative bonus gear really hurts it. The staff does not boost damage or accuracy of any spell cast manually, only the built in spell, this was changed shortly after release as it originally did boost everything. If you want to freeze zily, group her with the melee minion first, then cast the freeze on the melee minion, it will roll its defense instead of zily's. Do note that with monsters bigger than 1x1 in size, grouping them is dependent on where they overlap, so you'd have to kite them till the point they properly overlap to hit both. Also I would suggest praying range in zily's room, you take way more range damage than you would mage, as long as you keep your distance from zily or freeze her.
Barrage spells don't roll on the magic defence of the main target, that's only with ranged (chins).

This would be a wicked episode of “and then we fight” one of you had t bow and other has shadow, you have 10 bosses and have 15 - 30 minutes at each boss to get as many kc as u can, at the end you can sell your loot and buy a pvp set up and then fight
18:50 death charge, lightbearer, and adding claw specs might also help. Easy 25kph
How good would zulrah be for gp if they removed the damage cap limit? Tbow and shadow staff would be insane there

Bandos: New Solo Bis (unsure if this beats scythe in groups though, scythe is less accurate but staff has like 25ish less max hits than the scythe when ur not salted or ovlded in a raid

a note on your arma.... uh attempts, armas mage attack is a ranged based magic style meaning it rolls off your ranged defense and as we all know ancestral has 0 ranged defense. so while on paper staff is bis there, it reduces your trip lengths because of how much more damage youll take.

For Kree you should be doing a step-under method and he still isn’t particularly worth doing off task. That said, I generally do a full task in one trip unless I have to leave to pee so… try that next time.

btw with kree arra its always faster to get kc once then bank at nex than run back. You need atleast 10 kills for this to be faster minimum at kree.
When Kree is dead take out the Wingman Skree with blowpipe and then stack the meller and ranger on top of each other to double heal
If you solo bandos you always bring an explorers ring for alchs. And bring your holy wrench for the prayer increase.
so, I don't think that a task with the staff is that important for arma or whatever, since it doesn't multiply the damage bonuses from the slayer helm, but does so for the ancestral helm, so they come out pretty close.
It’s still a huge accuracy buff and it’s pretty much 2x ancestral hat for damage
Explorers ring 4 for the alching while on ancients is huge for gwd trips

At barrows you have to get your reward potential to 85 percent for max chance at drops, Ive never went more than 20 dry or so.

This is just not true, as long as you kill all 6 brothers you have max chance on items. You want to get to 85 to maximize profit though

I got a staff drop and am at a crossroads with doing a rebuild versus waiting until I can afford ancestral with bowfa/decent melee set. I’ve been doing a lot of zulrah and I get anywhere from 28-35 kph in just Ahrim/no heart. Is anc REALLY that big of a deal, at zulrah per say? Toa I’d say yes cause the scaling but as far as random bosses I think it should be viable without ancestral. Can anyone confirm?

Unfortunately it’s the cycles of the seasons, It’ll probably flair back up during the winter. I used to use fancy prescription grade products with no effect, so I’ve stopped and just resulted to soap and water. Same results without all the harsh side effects. As I’ve aged it’s been getting slightly better every year so fingers crossed

This guy buys a 1.8b staff and you think he cares about 2k? Also super restores restore +1 prayer points over pray pots so they actually serve as a purpose.
They restore 1 extra prayer point per sip. Probably not worth it, but I like to make my trips as long as possible
