what a time to be alive ! I'm born of 1975... dunno who introduce the movie Airport '79 ...years passed the tune never left my mind (now is 2020). I thank you !
Great film and theme. Thanks for posting. I saw 1 of the Concorde models during a Universal Studios Tour in Hollywood. Sadly, the Concorde used in this film crashed in July 2000 due to debris on the runway at DeGaulle Airport and brought the demise of supersonic service.
It's a Film Score and Title ....coresponding to the exordinary "French / British gowed up" Grande' Madame'" of Aircraft Building !!Grounded but Unforgotten! I want a Date with Lady !! 🤗❤️ See you in Sinsheim...
Some missiles just accelarate and glide into the target. An AtA missile at close distance is likely to have a trail, SAM not. You won't see a trail on jets at full speed either.
@@JohnnyC01 So Airport '79 was even more realistic than what I gave it credit for. This, along with the possibility of Brazil not qualifying for the 2026 World Cup can be taken as inferences that the world is about to end.
You know it's a quality production if it features BOTH Charo AND Jimmy J.J. "Dyno-Mite" Walker. Did the studio want to burn up some contract requirements or something?
Musical score for opening sounds almost identical to Starflight One 1983 about a prototype hypersonic passenger transport...did they copy that song from Concorde 1979?
These composers, believe me,are the luckiest guys on this planet.....I can draw so much inspiration out of this old stuff...amazing
This Movie is the Reason, to love the Concorde!!!🇨🇵🇬🇧
I just love the melody(4:26), it's so beautiful! ❤️
"The Sexy Baroness' " in White ? or her Präsentation Title Sequence Emillio?🤗❤️😉
One of His best scores IMHO. Great to see it on UA-cam.
I have all of the Airport movies on DVD.
Me and my Sister saw the concord land at Dulles International Airport. What a sight

Can’t believe this was 40 years ago!
Saw this when I was 12 at the UA Capri Theatre on Fordham Road in the Bronx back when it first premiered.....GOOD MEMORIES!!!...GREAT MOVIE!!!
It is a Sad Fact that the used "Film Plane " is that one who chrashed at July25 2000 at Paris ...with 110 People ..😌😔 R.I.P
Also Alain Delon died recently
So airport saw the Concorde diaster coming...right down to the tail number...
R.I.P. All the poor souls of the real flight on this Concorde was kill in 2000.

Wait....the Concorde in this movie....was the same one that crashed!?!
Yes, the same plane.

@@GumballAstronaut7206 Yep. Air France Concorde registration F-BTSC flying AF flight number 4590 from Paris to New York.
great score and movie
I saw the BA Concord at DULLAS international airport. It was so cool

See you in Sinsheim...
LOVE the violins at 0:43 !
"Borrowed" from the original Superman movie...
Cello at 0:43......violin at 1:51
2:20 to 2:53: thanks Concorde for be the great airplane and the king of the sky for three decades, I cry that not be now 🥺😭😭
It’s almost like the ending was a foreshadowing of what would happen nearly 20 years later.
Great movie
THE BEST OF THE AIRPORT SERIES PERIOD!!!!!!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED
ARE YOU KIDDING!!! IT SUCKED.... and was a BOMB
✈️Airport "75" was the best of the franchise, followed by Airport "77"
I have all of them on DVD
Alain Delon, the Concorde's left seat in the film, passed away recently at the age 88.
Long Live The Concorde
RIP Alain Delon (1935-2024)
And George Kennedy too
So sad that this was the real Concorde which crashed in France and was the final nail in the coffin for the Concorde.
It was her destiny and that many souls on board - R.I.P.
Concorde o mais belo avião já construído o cisne do ar.
The concept of actors being billed as guest stars in a feature presentation seems even more antiquated than the Concorde itself.
The 1991 film 'Mach 2' used many concorde scenes from this film!
Ah, the legendary F-BTSC, such a tragedy...
Least credible storyline of the series. Best music score. This is a franchise that could easily be revived and continued, set decades later.
Flying has become such a bewildering experience in real life, I’m not sure Hollywood could top it anymore.
Nice
I have this movie
Andrea Marcovicci was a guest star on The Incredible Hulk TV show.
This is the one with George Kennedy as Patroni, right?
What I've learned from this movie: Air-to-Air missiles leave exhaust trails, but Surface-to-Air missiles and jets do not.
Some missiles just accelarate and glide into the target. An AtA missile at close distance is likely to have a trail, SAM not. You won't see a trail on jets at full speed either.

Cool ❤❤❤❤❤

I FINALLY got the TV Director's Cut of this film on d.v.d. It's better.
the tail has the 1979 BA Speedbird in red
Musical score for opening sounds almost identical to Starflight One 1983 about a prototype hypersonic passenger transport...did they copy that song from Concorde 1979?
Lalo Schifrin, who was the composer of "Airport '79" also scored "Starflight One."
Uploaded on my 18th DOB.
I got a question about the sunset scene. Is that the concord' departing soul? See 2:38 into the video
Jimmie Walker worked on the film? "Tell Norman Lear the Good Times are over!"
at least we were spared Dean Martin as the captain would anybody get on a aeroplane knowing he was the captain
@ it ain't called the cockpit for nothing. A fifth what? A bottle of booze no doubt
wonderful at 2:39 :)
The ABC Thursday Night Movie can be blamed for my initiation into this film’s culthood.
rip Alain Delon cat lover
At the 1:35 mark, the 3:48 mark, and the 6:30 mark - sounds like a thunderous news sounder/bulletin. What, with the xylophone rhythm and all.
Lalo Schifrin's Cool Hand Luke Tar Sequence music was in fact used by local TV stations for their newscasts, most famously by ABC O&O stations
The aircraft used in all airport movies r cursed - they all crash or get destroyed!
Mercedes mc cambridge from "the exorcist " on board 😈
0:17
Un nanar de compétition.
En plus, j'espère choquer personne mais... c'est moi ou Lalo Schifrin se fout complètement de notre gueule, sur ce coup-là ?
