I'll always be thankful to Kareem for bringing Milwaukee a championship. Considering Kareem's trade request, Milwaukee didn't do bad in this trade. Bridgeman and Winters were key parts of the Bucks success in the early 80's. Dave Meyers was good too and would've been a key part had it not been for his early retirement.

KAREEM is very disciplined for taking care of his HEALTH. and that is why. in his playing career from 20 years. he was able to dominate every aspects of the game. remember in those 20 seasons. TIMES HAVE CHANGED. RULES HAVE CHANGED. EVEN MUSIC WAS EVOLVED. AMERICA has PRODUCED 4-5 presidents from 1960"s-1980's. and that is why if KAREEM was in his prime. i think the I.Q that he has from the Game. he can dominate any eras given to him.💯

Shit put Kareem at the 4 and Patrick Ewing at the 5 we would have made it work. I never knew we had the opportunity to get the G.O.A.T and turned him down in his prime. Man if we got this guy in the 70s he just would have added on to what Welt Frazier and them boys was doing on their run. New York would have ran the 70s and maybe the 80s also this one really hurt. But that's OK this old ish we got the opportunity to redeem ourselves very soon the Knicks or treading in the right direction.

Interesting comment by Jabbar at 3:10 Motion offenses subject big players to less contact, cuz they aren't stationary targets Being short, I never thought of that.
Big issue I remember was Jabbar hatred for winters in the upper midwest, a hatred I shared. Was hard to blame him for leaving for LA; I wanted to do the same.
Bucks did ok in the deal; Elmor Smith a serviceable center & 3 good young players in Winters, Bridgeman & Myers

Not only did Kareem not like those Wisconsin winters, but he felt uncomfortable there from some of the fans who criticized him for being a Muslim, for some of his political stands, and just for the color of his skin (remember, this was the 1970s) and he felt a lot more comfortable and socially accepted in Los Angeles and New York.

Lets see...LeBron or Michael the greatest🤔...get serious. Kareem is the GOAT!!!! 96-6 high school record with only one loss after his freshmen year including a 71 game winning streak...not bad. As high school senior many said he would have been # 1 NBA pick then. Okay college. Well how about 88-2. Are you serious. 3 National Championships. His freshman year UCLA was ranked #1 but freshman could not play then. So in a scrimmage against the National Champions from the year before his freshman team beat the # 1 ranked Bruins by 15 points. The saying was UCLA was # 1 in the country and # 2 on campus. As Lew Alcindor he was named national player of the year 2X. Before 1967-68 the NCAA banned the dunk. It became known as the "Lew Alcindor rule" Lew was the # 1 pick in the draft and he was rookie of the year in 1969-70 leading the Bucks to 56 victories up from 27 the year before. The following year as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar his team won 66 games and his first NBA Championship. He was traded to the Lakers in 1975 and became one of the key members of the team known as "Showtime" and was in the middle of what many considered the two greatest modern basketball teams to play the game...the Celtics-Lakers rivalry. Both teams were stocked with many hall of famers and all stars. Many consider this the greatest time of basketball history. Kareem played a total of 20 seasons. How is that for durability. Kareem was a member of 6 NBA Championships and played in 10 NBA Finals. He was league MVP a record 6X. He garnered 2 Finals MVP'S, a 19 time All Star, 15 NBA 1st or 2nd teams. He is the all time leading scorer with 38,387 points averaging 24.6 points per game...11.2 rebounds per game...3.6 assists per game...and 2.6 points per game. Finally in the history of the game there has only been one player with a definitive shot unmatched by anyone else. That is Kareem with his "Sky Hook" In 74 years in the NBA he is the only one who has shot it. Yes...not the acrobat of Michael or the sheer power of LeBron...but no one ever could stop the "Sky Hook" let alone shoot it. So that is the case for Kareem....I think hands down the GOAT of all time basketball player. Thanks Kareem!😃👍💪

1.5 million over 5 years😂. Rick Barry didn't make $300.000 a year? I could see why he's mad if Dave Meyers was going to make more😠

Kareem is wise and reflective in assessing his UCLA/L.A. ERA, also in why he prefers a running-shoot offence.

Gotta love Kareem. Always so casual and soft spoken, just a chill dude that kept to himself and seemed reserved and shy at times. He definiteky didnt play that way though lol

Not sure why the Knicks have been so damned stupid over the years. Players want to go there. They want to support those fans. I would love to see a competition with what that team should be.

Getting out of Milwaukee was prolly 1 of the Happier moments of Kareems life. He Hated it here and couldn’t wait to get out. Now he’s an old man that LA has no use for. Kareem comes crawling back to Milwaukee expecting a statute and the people here to welcome him back with open arms.

The Knicks could have had Kareem in 1975 and Dr J in 1976 if they would have accepted his contract the nets offered worth 4 million, instead of demanding the 4 million dollars itself smh. These 2 with Earl the pearl and Frasier would have won a few championship.
