I don't understand calling them "Hezbollah devices," as if it's verified that none of these devices were in the possession or ownership of civilians. I see most outlets doing the same, but I expected better from K & S. Why not Lebanese devices?
Saagar, the only reason, the ONLY reason, you think there is a difference between Israel's attacks on "Hamas" and its attacks on "Hezbollah" is because in the latter case, you feel like you could be PERSONALLY affected. You feel more empathy for a phone than victims of genocide.
While Israel has gone way to far what Hamas did demand a heavy response. That is the difference. I'm not saying Israel is not heavily responsible for events leading to the attack. I'm just saying a response was required at that point.
The following quote can be attributed to Lama Fakih, Middle East and North Africa Director at Human Rights Watch: “Customary international humanitarian law prohibits the use of booby traps - objects that civilians are likely to be attracted to or are associated with normal civilian daily use - precisely to avoid putting civilians at grave risk and produce the devastating scenes that continue to unfold across Lebanon today. The use of an explosive device whose exact location could not be reliably known would be unlawfully indiscriminate, using a means of attack that could not be directed at a specific military target and as a result would strike military targets and civilians without distinction. A prompt and impartial investigation into the attacks should be urgently conducted.”
I'm not sure why no one addresses the internal traitors, who are the real problem. Everyone says, 'Oh, they assassinated Ismail Haniya inside Iran? Wow.' Iran swore to take revenge, but conveniently ignored the real issue - investigating and exposing the double agents at the highest levels within the Iranian army. Similarly, in this incident, Hezbollah's real problem isn't Israel, but the insiders who leaked everything. The ease with which they're being infiltrated should the real concern for Iran and allies, in my opinion. Also, on the topic, Western media often portrays Iran as a semi-superpower, dangerously on the brink of causing WWIII, and people believe it just because it's said. As a neighbor of Iran, I think that's far from the truth. They can't even protect their own generals, scientists, or guests, and accidentally shot down a plane in a reckless revenge spree. Iran is a joke, but a convenient enemy for the U.S. and Israel to manipulate in order to achieve their own goals.
And here I thought drone footage from the Ukraine was awful stuff. The thought of thousands of cell phones exploding simultaneously is terrifying. These conflicts have no end in sight and most in power seem content with that, wonderful.

I think he knew and he wanted it to happen.
"People are pissed, [settlers] haven't been able to live at home for over a year"
Oh yeah? Just a year and they're already upset? Try 80.
And this is why voting for the status quo candidate is so problematic. This duopoly is not going to stop any of this
And your clown show is?
These people have a stranglehold on us. Hard to speak up to break their grip on our politicians.
This is similar in ideology to people putting poison in Tylenol bottles or putting ground glass in jars of jam. Indiscriminate harm.
I don't understand calling them "Hezbollah devices," as if it's verified that none of these devices were in the possession or ownership of civilians. I see most outlets doing the same, but I expected better from K & S. Why not Lebanese devices?
It was specifically Hezbollah that was using these pagers, yes.
If the US Army ordered 5,000 pagers for it's soilders would you refer to them as 'American devices'?
Sortof a moot point when civilians were killed either way
Israel made them. And made them well.
@@yoshiskaterIs there any reporting specifying this with evidence? I saw devices at a phone shop blowing up online
Call it what it is, it's terrorism and we are complicit.
Just for the record, James Bond would not do that, but a James Bond Villian would.

Y’all called it resistance by any means necessary on Oct 7.

That is considered a terrorist attack

3 wrong comments and boom !
Saagar, the only reason, the ONLY reason, you think there is a difference between Israel's attacks on "Hamas" and its attacks on "Hezbollah" is because in the latter case, you feel like you could be PERSONALLY affected. You feel more empathy for a phone than victims of genocide.
Obviously there are differences. You are inferring that he endorses one attack and condemns the other, which is not what he said.
While Israel has gone way to far what Hamas did demand a heavy response. That is the difference. I'm not saying Israel is not heavily responsible for events leading to the attack. I'm just saying a response was required at that point.
"War is a nightmare"...

In remembering how toxic casting world news can be, a big thanks to the entire BP team for their diligence and integrity.

The following quote can be attributed to Lama Fakih, Middle East and North Africa Director at Human Rights Watch:
“Customary international humanitarian law prohibits the use of booby traps - objects that civilians are likely to be attracted to or are associated with normal civilian daily use - precisely to avoid putting civilians at grave risk and produce the devastating scenes that continue to unfold across Lebanon today. The use of an explosive device whose exact location could not be reliably known would be unlawfully indiscriminate, using a means of attack that could not be directed at a specific military target and as a result would strike military targets and civilians without distinction. A prompt and impartial investigation into the attacks should be urgently conducted.”
How Israel commited a terrorist attack
DON'T BE FOOLED ISRAEL WOULD DO IT TO AMERICANS TOO, WITH CONGRESSES BLESSINGS AD LONG AS THEY GET AN AIPAC CHECK

Literally the opposite of indiscriminate attacks. Don’t condemn attacks on terrorists!
The real question is « how did Israel miss the detection of HAMAS commercial drones with their low FM and MW radio frequencies? »
Terrorism
How is that not terrorism, absolutely disgusting!!
And here I thought drone footage from the Ukraine was awful stuff. The thought of thousands of cell phones exploding simultaneously is terrifying. These conflicts have no end in sight and most in power seem content with that, wonderful.

It wasn't only fighters who were targeted, it was the general public's electronics supply. Many civilians were hit, children too of course.
Miller says that Israeli terrorists should not suffer from extra judicial attacks but for lebanese "terrrorists" it is fine.
Apple and the others must be in full red alert mode.
This was a very targeted attack....yet all we hear from Krystal is "terrorism." Seriously, is Israel just not allowed to do anything?

Definition of terrorism!
How is this not terrorism? There is no way all of these people were Hezbollah.
Then why did they have the explosive devices? Because they were sold to Hezbollah who switched to them after their phones were targeted.
The reality is they WERE all Hezbollah or people who regularly talk to Hezbollah. Their problem!
You are labelled either a "freedom fighter" or "terrorist" depending on whether ur fighting for the US or not...simple as that.
Nothing from Israel is safe.
Journalist: what is a terrorist attack
State dept: Hamas attacks civilians indiscriminately
Journalist: the idf just blew up devices with no knowledge of their targets or location are they terrorists?
State dept: whoa whoa but they had good intent
Do you really not see the difference between specifically targeting civilians vs this?
They absolutely had knowledge of who their targets were. These pagers were given out to members of Hezbollah
"no knowledge of their targets" Where do you people get this stuff from?
Hypothetical US foreign policy at its best...!
has anybody called this a terrorist attack? does this not merit a terrorist attack? Everybody is calling it "pager attack" and not calling it a terrorist attack.
No. No it does not.
