For those who are interested in the topic of polygonal masonry. A number of methods for obtaining the polygonal masonry are proposed. The basis of the proposed methods is the use of clay/gypsum replicas, a topography translator, and reduced clay models of the stone blocks along with a 3D-pantograph. The results are presented in the article: “Fabrication methods of the polygonal masonry of large tightly-fitted stone blocks with curved surface interfaces in megalithic structures of Peru”. I just returned from here. Even the local indigenous guides credit Bingham. He brought this back out of the shadows so all could experience, and the locals have absolutely benefited from this "rediscovered" city.

All due respect to your video but the TRUE Peruvian story is that Agustín Lizárraga first discovered Machu Pichu in 1902, Hiram Bingham re-discovered it in 1911 with the help of a Peruvian peasant, He (Bingham) even took a picture where one can clearly see a marking made by Lizárraga marking the time he discovered it, then Bingham was reported to have changed the stone by scraping out that marking...

Agustín Lizárraga discovered Machu Picchu. Hiram Bingham was just an oportunist who claim discovered Machu Picchu.

Hiram Bingham, as he would unequivocally state in his 1948 book "Lost City of the Incas," "discovered" the ancient Incan ruins of Machu Picchu. But he didn’t, and even he knew it. Local people knew of the site. PLEASE DO FURTHER RESEARCH.

Maybe locals knew of it, but he was certainly the one that put it on the map.

So Goering discovered it in 1891? Impressive, considering that he wasn't born until 1893.
