I collect more than 2000 LPs and mostly they are late 1960's to early 1970's (Best decade as far as music/rock n roll goes). I thought I have lots of unknown/never heard of but I still did not know a lot. First concert was Led Zeppelin in the summer of 1972 in Seattle, Washington State, and in front to the right of stack of Marshalls!!!
A true, Dutch treat, actually recorded in 1974. All five members, incl. the three Limaheluw brothers, are of Indonesian origin, and Ferry Limaheluw is still rocking...
The short-lived band "Fragile", with a difficult fate and one album, is an excellent representative of the Dutch prog-rock scene of the mid-70s. The band was formed in 1972 by three Limaheluw brothers: Henk and Ferry played guitars, and Chris played bass. A little later, two more members joined them: Ted Tahapary - drums and Hank Oraille - vocals, percussion. After short rehearsals, the musicians began concert performances. The name "Fragile", according to the band members, was chosen in honor of the fourth album of the British group "Yes". Having accumulated money and performing experience, in 1974 the group went to Flower Tree studio to record their debut album, but they managed to release it only in 1976, and only in a limited edition of 500 copies. Basically, all these records were intended for friends and relatives. After the release of the album, a fire occurred in the studio where the musicians were rehearsing and all the band’s equipment burned down. For some time they continued to organize concerts, but ultimately, due to lack of income, the group was disbanded. Having failed to become famous, the members of Fragile left behind great and completely unique music, which was recorded on their only album.
This music is absolutely astounding. Rich melodic speech, harmonies breathtaking orchestration constantly renewed in the use of the stamps of the instruments, in short a babylonian sound architecture erected by humbles and impetuous interpretes-composers🌺🕊
Great band and great album ! The singer has a unique voice. They should be more known. I wish I had this LP in my collection. Thanks for posting this !
Reminds me of my old band The Yes Album, and our 1978 record that we titled The Yes Album

EXCELENTE BANDA, DE LOMEJOR DE LA HISTORIA DEL ROCK, PERO DESCONOCIDO PARA LA MAYORIA. MIS RESPETOS PARA ESTA BANDA. GRACIAS BRITTNEY POR COMPARTIRLO.
I think they've listened to one too many Wishbone Ash LP's...
From the Iron Butterfly fuzz tone guitar, to the BOC (joan crawford has risen from the grave), to that Doobie Bros "Funk".
That was a fun ride!!

Very Good ,
But You Had Several Glitches in the Recording that Can Be Heard During Playback
Excellent..
They’re more akin to early Wishbone Ash than ‘progressive Rock’. They’re good regardless of how people care to categorise them.
