I think a lot of people missed Tony's point about the price. They aren't cheap but compared to other things in the hobby, they are not over priced as well. The ramp costs less than a Futaba HPS-A700 servo which puts out 1027 oz inch of torque, which is overkill for a crawler or anything smaller than 1/8th scale. The Associated Blackbox 850R ESC is $100 more than the ramp. A Tamyia semi is several hundred more and most people would use a ramp more than the RC semi. They are a nice ramp and if I wanted to send any of my trucks I would consider getting one.
Did you see my video on this ramp? Suggestion: 1) go buy button-head screws. We were catching our chassis and bumpers on the hex heads of the bolts. 2) flip the metal over so the rough diamond-plate is down. Same reason, it grinds off the chassis. 3) reinforce the top lip of the jump. After hitting it with the X-maxx, it finally bent and folded. We reinforced that top lip.
Thanks for the tips. I did see the video when you won it. I mentioned your son jumping off it and bending it. I just blanked on your channel name in that moment. But I did see the video.
Just ordered this ramp and excited for it to get here for my boys and I. I've also been thinking I'd like it to be wide, so I was considering buying a wide ramp piece(metal or some other material) for when we want to have it wider. I suppose two of them would also work LOL.
Very cool. Mine has held up well. Just don't let them walk on the ramp...that can bend it. :) I replace the bolts that go in the face with round cap head phillips ones so the car under compression wouldn't get marred by the hex heads.
Been trying to figure out how to make a diamond plate ramp that's more portable. Looks like the diamond plate you're using is the standard 0.062 in thick. That's good, I thought it would need 1/4" thick. Trying to think how we could use some kind of rolltop desk design, or like yours but with be able to add one inch of kicker lip at the very end. Or, if we did use quarter inch thick diamond plate and bend the radius with a metal brake, it would be strong enough that it wouldn't need much support. 1/4" alum DP weighs 3.5lbs/sqft so a 24x48 piece would weigh 28lbs alone, but it's so strong it wouldn't need much other support. I can see that all your products are out of stock?
i made a ramp for 25$ out of plywood, a few boards and hinges., it collapses down to 4" thick and has adjustble launch angle. it dont matter how much this one cost, you dont have to buy it if you dont want it lol.
Redbeard Ron that’s always an option! Not everyone is handy. I try to be sometimes, but everything takes me forever because I question if I’m doing it right or if there is a better way. Hence my ramp boards sitting in a pile and my plywood for ramps being turned into a micro crawler course instead of a jump.
@@CCxRChere is link if anyone is interested. issuu.com/hobbytown/docs/ho_issue_2 page 36 of this magazine had a nice write up on how to build the ramp, i changed it up a little and made it to fit my needs. i found this through a big squid article a while back.
Paul Clancy I used bolts to hinge the legs. It makes it adjustable to two positions. Low for more out. Up for more altitude. Also it fits in my short bed pickup with tonneau cover on.
Where do you get those Kryptonics curved ramps from? Can't find them anywhere. Those Aluminum ones are noisy as heck too, like running off a shopping cart.
nice man i have the same issue on my outcast a guy on ebay sells typhon 6s shocks set of 4 for 75$ im get those and two more rpm a's for the rear i think that will solve that issue of the shock mount
Awesome ramp and very reasonable for the design and build quality and materials.May I suggest you try out Tbone racing rc basher bumpers they really work great and make them for the front and rear of most poular bashers.
What is the plastic ramp in your vid called and where did u purchase it? I might go that route and just drill some 2x4’s into the bottom of the rear to add some height and launch angle
I could se a lot of plastic from a-arms and bumpers getting shaved off of the bolts and knurled surface of the jump. I would place the top upside-down and counter sunk screws would also be nice.
Looks pretty cool! I’ve got one of those plastic bike ramps, paid like $5 at goodwill so it’s good enough for me. I don’t really like breaking stuff so I’m not much into going crazy, though I’ve got a stampede that I built from a bunch of parts and is mostly rpm parts so I have been wanting to take it to the skate park and see just how good those rpm parts really are because the only rpm part I’ve ever broken is a rustler front bumper.
Great concept, however a V2 version with a cheaper metal for the ramp w/o the little diamond things that will wear underside of chassis, a foot wider, another center brace and perhaps do away with the RC bash logo cut into the metal to cut down on labor cost. A sticker would suffice. Get the cost down to 150 or so and it would be a winner
I’ve been looking into ramp options as well. Like u, portability and light weight are the main priority. Not sure why a company has not come out with a full plastic version like the one in your vid that has a 4 foot width and high launch angle like the rc basher one shown
Totally agree with you. Can easily spend that sort of money on decent wheels for a truggy or x-maxx. These ramps aren’t cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. To me it’s a no brainer 👍🏻
I have the landwave ramps it cost like $110 on Amazon and it’s over 4’ wide works good for the xMaxx. What are the dimensions on this ramp? Looks like it would be a good one to keep in my truck
It's got the right idea. Diamond plate not the best surface imo. Will grind metal and plastic off the cars on every jump. (Not to mention the noise). A little wider (Easier to hit at high speed) and a composite top, and it's a winner.
Bashing starts at 7:22. Not many options for decent jumps out there that are portable. Closest I found on Amazon was the Ramptech Kicker XL and it was $219 for ABS plastic and wood. Had wheels to move it...so it’s not as portable. I need it to check off several boxes. Portability and air time were top 2. The Mojo sky ramp looks like junk and was $189 without much height to the jump. Go ahead and look. I think this is competitively priced for what it is and the materials used.
I just wish it was little bigger , If it was 36" or even 30" wide I would be all over buying this ramp,Just because I have couple of Xmaxx's and nephews who are not precise at hitting ramps even with a maxx or myself for that matter lol
I understand. I did my research and there isn’t much that would be portable and still offer decent airtime that I could find and the prices were above $150 as well. That’s what got me thinking about other ways I spend my RC money that get used less than my Ramps. They are the most used RC item I have.
Nice I think I like 2 together they should make little wider , I guess want keep price down I'm same way tony I have all wood laying around to build , instead just doing it I over think it and I'm no carpenter lol
Just build a nice sweeping 45/ ramp some grip strips cost in Dec 2021 $60 and it is lite and very portable have I have looked for affordable ramps your better off making yourself or paying someone $125 to build it for you.
I ordered one one of these back in August and STILL have not received it and now they dont even reply to emails. i would not order one of these unless you want to loose your money.
Lol amplitude 🤣 💀 ⚰ good video my man... I don't mind paying a price for things but this ramp is kinda too high in price man most I'd pay for that is 125-150 but it's awesome bro I got a set of ten eighty ramps for 50 from dicks sporting goods... Grwat bash man 🔥 🔥 🔥 keep being great bro 👌
Thanks Brock. I'll keep trying to pump out videos. Curious about what's funny with the use of amplitude? The amount of times I say it or the use of the word? If you watch X-games, moto-x, snowboarding, skateboarding...that's how they measure the height. Like measuring a wavelength, the amplitude is the distance from rest to crest...so the highest peak. I haven't see the ten eighty ramps that cheap unless they are the micro ones we use for our Clodbusters.
For 275 it's not bad but considering the materials and everything $200 would be a price I'd order in a heartbeat I just built my own eventually as it's easier But this does seem like one of the better cheaper ones
Very nice ramp.
It’s cool I want one soon
Thanks for creating and sharing video!

Agreed. I built my adjustable ramp for $200 less than what this one cost. Here’s how ua-cam.com/video/fFQnFEaE51U/v-deo.html
That's good idea hinges , I have idea drilling holes using pins to adjust height and to be portable
Paul Clancy I used bolts to hinge the legs. It makes it adjustable to two positions. Low for more out. Up for more altitude. Also it fits in my short bed pickup with tonneau cover on.
Hi! How high and how long ang how wide it is I like the way you jump...
Sweet ramp for sure. Tough break on the shock mount though. ✌
Yeah. I have to get that fixed ASAP. I Love running this truck.

Wonder how these ramps will hold up against the Outcast 8S or XMaxx. I'm seeing that they move when contract is made with the Kraton.

can you recomend a 5th scale rc monster truck flip ramp for raminator

Which angle has the ramp on the highest point?
great video, continue in the same spirit, greetings from Russia 🇷 🇺 👍 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Can I ask you what you have broken on the Kraton 4s so far besides the arms because I’m thinking about getting one
I just broke the shock end on this video.
