Yep...hit once. One time, in the 3rd round...against Tyson. Quite aggravating. I've been trying to do a no hit run for awhile now, on and off, for a few months. Been to Tyson quite a few times and failed. I decided to keep this run, even with the one hit, still a decent run. For some reason it cut off the end where it shows little mac and your win/loss record on the bottom, sorry about that. Well, enjoy.

When I saw the title of the video, I thought you meant BEATING all of the fighters in one hit. Either way, this was pretty impressive.

I don’t know about Mike Tyson’s Punch Out and Punch Out Featuring Mr. Dream, but I’m pretty sure you can beat each fighter with one hit for each in Punch Out!! Wii

Most likely because people's fingers can rest easier with the finger on the edge of the control pad during a tough battle.
I think the left dodge might be slightly faster.
Tarren634 Everyone dodges LEFT because physically, you are holding the NES controller with your right hand, making it easier to press LEFT on the gamepad.

just so you know, it's possible to TKO tyson in the second round by purposely
leaving a sliver of white in his bar instead of knocking him out once in the first round; that way, you can give him an immediate knockout at the start of the second, and then easily proceed to knock him out two more times to achieve the TKO. this strategy might help you achieve the no hit run.
Yep I was saying the same thing after he dropped him in the first round. Thats how I would beat him. Either way he only got hit once through the whole thing. AMAZING. I still play this game every now and then. Its classic, easy to play and challenging.

Yep-there's no reason to go to 3rd round on tyson. I always leave a sliver at the end of 1st round.

i dont know if anyone else mentioned this, but when youre fighting dom flamingo, let him swing at you once, and then counter slowly, chain your punches about a second slower than you usually would.
nice! I remember learning how to knock Tyson out by TKO in the second round by getting stars after he did the upper cut as he would flash and pause briefly. then hit him in the stomach to get a star.
This guy does a lot of stomach punches that I didn't know were possible. Also, when he starts punching he uses his left first and I always used my right. I wonder if that makes a difference.

I have hit every character in the stomach. I don't think it's a glitch, just a little easter egg that is REALLY hard to find. I remember you have to wait until his last punch when he does the Super Spin punch and while his back is still turned to you, you can nail him in the gut.
Just a normal speedrun, but you hit once... I thought there would be a weird twist or something, but you just... Hit once. The speedrun itself is impressive, I gotta admit, but...

What's funny is that i had no idea that you can punch with 2 hands and i went though one hits the whole time until i was with Mr sandman realizing what the left punch was for xD.
If i'm correct u press the select button once u get a star ( top left of the screen ) u get a star for hitting your opponent on a specific timing and place.
TKO Technical knockout means the person was deemed unconscious or unable to continue the fight even with the 10 count as opposed to MMA were the point is to force your opponent to be in unable to fight via Submission or unconsciousness

I could fade all the boxers on this game including Mike Tyson, but Super Macho Man was a beast. He came with it even harder than Iron Mike in the ring. Those spinning punches he use are crazy.

Actually you can KO, Sandman in the first round. When he does that charge, time your punch and hit him right in the abs and he will not get up. I hate fighting Macho he is more of a beast than Mike Tyson to me with those Twist of Fury Punches. Lol!

This was the first game - or life experience - where I learned that sound might be tied to action (i suppose). I always thought that the boxers' actions were tied to the music for a good portion of learning.

I felt cheated in this game. Everytime decision came up the defender wins. Even if they didn't hit me, I knocked them out twice each round, and totally owned them

The nes couldn't fit much space so instead of making mac transparent they made him small, hence the name "little mac"
Tyson was the hardest by far. Any punch would knock you down. It took me forever to beat him. Don't lie, you had the code and so did I. Super Macho Man was tough but it took me about 5 tries to beat him. Tyson took at least 20 for me. I always struggled with Sandman more than Super Macho Man.
It doesn't matter. They knocked down his power so they count as hits.
Man, the way you beat Super Macho man was awesome!! I have always had an easier time with Tyson then Macho Man. Probably because I used the code to get to Tyson so much had practice. I will note on this video though, Macho man did to fast spin punch sequences, I always seem to get the long ones and he hits me around the 7th 8th or 9th spin lol. Was this on NES? If so why not hit the select button between rounds 2 and 3 to heal?
I once played this game and KO'd Tyson in the first round. He was counted out...extremely rare thing.

If you press start or select in between rounds the coach pats on your back more and you regain full strength.. You obviously a master at this game. Just curious that u didnt do it in the game. Maybe i missed it. Still U got some skills brother.
If you just knock Tyson's stamina down to a sliver in the first instead of knocking him down, you would have had him in the second easily.

I owned the game as a kid and played it often, i also have it on my pc as a rom. I always knew it was not possible but when I seen the title of this I thought that maybe there is a hidden trick or cheat that can allow such a thing to happen. Though If I remember correctly you can beat glass joe with one hit.
