- The Dissolution of the 53rd Parliament took place 11am Friday 8th September. The Dissolution brings to an end the current Parliament, when the New Zealand Herald of Arms Extraordinary to the King reads a proclamation signed by the Governor-General of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Wonderful to see this online, and was glad to see it in person. Very special, especially the significant closing by the tumu whakarae 7:30 onwards , and great to see the crowds too!
